It has a more western look than that of a katana, and is sharp on both sides. Magical Item: Masamune, befitting Auron's style of fighting, can pierce any innate blocking ability an enemy might have, meaning his strikes with it will always deal the damage they are intended to unless the enemy is actively blocking.
