Weaponry
Heartseeker
Futuristic-looking and engraved with strange symbols, Heartseeker is a handgun of mysterious working made presumably by an ancient civilization of Pulse, found by Faye in an Ark. It's technology is extremely advanced even for the standards the more developed worlds, it's functioning completely different from most firearms since it doesn't use gunpowder to fire it's bullets. For what the Aurelian Weaponmasters have been able to decipher, the gun is packed with miniature projectiles approximatively the size of a grain of sand, which are fired using an unknown technology that creates controlled fields in which the mass of time-space is reduced. When one pulls the trigger, the bullets are put through a dense block of metal, their mass decreased by this unknown technology, and fired at supersonic speeds causing great damage to the target. Since the bullets are so small, Heartseeker stores almost an infinite number of them and thus never runs out out of ammo nor needs to be reloaded.
Magical Items
ECHO gloves
This set of black fingerless gloves are a replica of those wore by Aurelis Tiel Auric, who made this pair for Faye when he got tired of her protests that using other people's Magick against them was 'lame'. When presented with them, Faye's opinion on the subject changed unexpectedly. Their working is a complete mystery to Faye, who doesn't have a desire to find out as long as they function and wouldn't be able to understand it even if she cared to ask. Besides redirecting Magick, this gloves have extra padding on their palms to help keep a better grip of one's weapon, they have reinforced knuckles in case you feel like punching someone and they just look painfully cool. Auric has also further modified this pair so they may be used by non-Gifted Ones.
Ruby Effect
Using the ECHO gloves enables the wearer to redirect or reflect any magic towards a different target, be it ally, enemy or environment. The new target is hit with the exact same strength as if the original caster had launched it against them instead, afflicting them with the same damage and passive abilities that would normally apply.

Signature Ability
P E R C E P T I O N
Aurelis is a civilization of warriors, an entire city surviving in the deadly wildlands of Pulse against monsters, Cie'th and world-shattering cataclysms for centuries. All Aurelians are trained for battle since infancy, conditioned to survive against the many dangers that plague their homeworld. While all of them are primarily warriors, there are a few who are trained specifically to successfully navigate, explore and survive in the monster-filled wilderness - these are the Aurelian Scouts, a job Faye always shown an aptitude for. Agile, keen-eyed and resourceful, there was very little doubt on what her assigned profession would be when she came of age - though the most remarkable factor that played a part on her assignment was her advanced ability of Perception.
Even for the physically superior Aurelians, Faye's senses were always extraordinarily acute. She could maneuver in complete darkness as if she were in broad daylight, she could detect danger faster than anyone and was impossible to be sneaked up on - the elders noted she could even predict changes in the climate by the smell of the wind. When handpicked for the profession of Scout, her perception was further heightened by years of grueling training, to the point where her senses rival those of a Viera.
Faye's senses are so developed she can perceive energy, similarly to how the Viera can sense Mist. In battle, specifically, Faye can perceive the energy patterns formed when an opponent is using an ability, allowing her a split-second advantage to ready her defenses, increasing as she becomes more familiar with the way enemies shape energy to execute their attacks.
Perception is a passive ability which decreases the harm that specific abilities cause on Faye the more an individual opponent uses them. Every time they perform a damaging ability, weather Magickal or Physical, the next time they use that same ability with Faye as the target they will deal one less tier of damage, with a maximum reduction of two tiers below their base damage (without applying buffs). The effect is not applied for regular attacks or AOE damage, and its is calculated separately between different opponents (does not apply when another opponent uses the same ability) and counts only for Faye (damage is not reduced for other party members or enemies). Since this ability is mostly instinctual, Faye does not retain a knowledge of her opponents attacks in this fashion and the effect is not carried over battles.

Bullet-Time
Aurelian Instructors not only train Scouts to heighten their senses; they teach them how to control them. By an effort of will, Faye may slow down her own perception of time. This results in a dramatic increase in her speed, allowing her to notice events that happen in the blink of an eye and dodge almost every attack. It is taxing to maintain, however, and though she's almost untouchable in this this state she's unable to attack opponents herself.
Bullet-Time is a mod Faye can turn on and off at will. While in effect, she becomes immune to all damage, though she can't use any damaging Stocked Abilities or regular attacks. She can still be harmed by status effects already in place and abilities with an area of effect, though in the last case she takes damage as if someone else had been the target (i.e. if Flare was used on her, she'd take Significant damage instead of Severe). It can be maintained up to a maximum of three posts, though if she hasn't turned it off by the third it will automatically shut off and all damage done to her in that post is augmented by a quarter. If she turns if off voluntarily, damage dealt by her is doubled for that post.

Sub-Ability[/blockquote]
Slayer
While usually a more cautious fighter as an adult, Faye is perfectly capable of reverting to her old, and brutal, way of fighting when the need arises. Forgoing all pretense of defense for a purely offensive style, Faye puts all her effort in trying to take down her enemies as fast as possible, overwhelming them with series of unrelenting attacks. Though while on this state Faye becomes a purely offensive force, she does not enter into a state of mindless rage - each blow delivered is deliberately planned and executed to negate the opponent's defenses and cause as much damage as possible. Fighting in this manner may leave her vulnerable, but few opponents can resist the rush of deadly, lightning-fast attacks long enough to retaliate.
As soon as the ability is activated, the effects of Haste are applied to Faye, lasting until Slayer is turned off. Until it is, Faye attacks a single target continuously for each available turn (including the one in which Slayer was activated), dealing Weak damage each time, plus once for every damaging ability that is used against her. While on this state, however Faye can't take any other action, including normal attacks, Stocked or Signature abilities or items, leaving her unable to defend or heal.
