Riku’s primary weapon is the Way to Dawn, a keyblade born of both light and darkness. Its blade pays homage to Riku’s previous weapon, Soul Eater featuring the same demonic wing motif. The teeth of the key resemble a dark grey angelic wing, a reference to Riku’s light. The hilt of the blade is composed of a circular hand guard, sectioned off into halves. Each section stands to represent both the light and darkness respectively. The keychain of the blade is the Heartless symbol without the red bars running across it.
