Final Fantasy Tactics Canons?

This is both a question,and a suggestion.
Why are FFT characters,such as Ramza,or Alma,not considered canon?If you think about it their even moreso then Kingdom Hearts Characters.My suggestion is maybe they should be added to the canon list. I don't really know if I would play as one,I just don't think they should get the shaft.

Ramza has more stones than most of the FF characters ever created so I'm inclined to agree. The heretic is also a core figure in ancient Ivalice lore so... yeah I'd imagine.

Let's think about this.

Given about HOW MANY Final Fantasy characters there are ALONE its easy to over look some games, especially those that are used on hand held consoles, I've never played Tactics, all I know about it is that the Chocoboes were dicks in it. Just because they're not on the canon list, I don't think that means they're not canon. Truthfully, I have yet to see an application for FFT, maybe that will change when one is made, but since there isn't (and tactics has over what? 30 characters in it?) I think its a rather good choice to leave it out.

I'm not necessarily saying add EVERYONE from there.Yes that would be crazy considering the massive roster,what I meant was just the characters that you could recruit,and maybe some of the riivals like Weigraf. Also FFT (at least the one everyone is mentioning),was NOT originally a hand held game! Its was a PS 1 game, Though it was ignored in the shadow of other rpgs at the time.

Again I have yet to see an FFT character Application, truthfully, if we start getting a whole buttload of them then yeah, add them too the list, but no one's doing so, no ones attempted and even yourself said that you wouldn't be making a canon from FFT, its rather null and void at this point. And originally or remake I still have not played it I only now of the Chocobo dicks in it, I grew up in the PSone era, and truthfully, my final fantasy games were 7, 8, 9. I only heard of tactics when they talked about it for the Gameboy release, so yes, Tactics is easily a game to over look, especially considering Final Fantasy 1-14 that we have, is easily to over look as NO ONE has even APPLIED for a canon in Tactics. Again maybe that will change if people start doing it and they will be added to the list, but until then I don't know, I'm not a mod on here, I say 'ok' to Tactics not being on the list, and only added when someone actually makes a character from there.

This is rapidly descending into an argument so I'm just placing the final word on this thread. Please don't respond after this statement is made because that will be counted as inciting an argument, which is expressly against the rules.

Final Fantasy Tactics is considered canon.

If you'll notice, nowhere near all of the characters from Kingdom Hearts have been added to the list - and there is a notice on the top of the canon list that notes, distinctly, that not all of the characters from every Final Fantasy game have been added as that is a difficult - nigh impossible - task.

Four Heroes of Light will also be considered canon, and if you have a legitimate way to make a character from Chocobo's Dungeon, then please do so. The site is not limited to only human/humanoid races, after all. Playing a chocobo would be perfectly reasonable, provided you have thought it out beforehand.

Just because the section is blank does not mean the source is disallowed.

Use your judgment though. Porting Jack Sparrow over because he cameoed in Kingdom Hearts wouldn't be a wise move if you tried to make him a canon. He would be considered a custom, as the source is not Squaresoft or Enix or Square Enix related.

For that matter, the two characters from Star Ocean 3: Till The End Of Time (which is, if you note, a Square Enix game) are considered to be customs. So are The World Ends With You characters. I understand that Tactics is a spinoff of the main Final Fantasy series, but it's far more practical to add the more popular games to the list and provide space for the others to be added.

We aren't claiming Tactics isn't canon. Tactics is considered canon.

Just because the section isn't on the canon list, doesn't mean it can't be added provided someone applies for it. As it's a lesser-known game, it would be a waste of space until someone does so.

Settle down, guys. No need to throw any other franchises under the bus just because your favorite cult hit isn't on the list. Nobody's disowning Ramza, okay?
