These are the rules and guidelines to be followed regarding the earning and possession of an Arbiter. If you do not follow these rules and regulations, fear the wrath of the Plagues.
OBTAINING AN ARBITER
01. On this site, once you have accumulated 50 posts, you will be given the opportunity to fight or otherwise tame your Arbiter! However, prior to this, you must have picked out a face claim and PMed it to a Staff member to add to the Arbiter Face Claim list.
02. Your battle thread will not be an easy fight, however you are allowed to bring a party of up to three other people with you to fight your Arbiter!
03. Once you have tamed your Arbiter, you will be allowed to speak to it ICly, and use it for things other than battle (e.g. transportation or interaction).
04. Keep in mind when choosing an Arbiter that summons that are specifically tied to a singular canon (e.g. the six party Eidolons of FFXIII) are by default reserved for that canon, unless they choose a different Arbiter. For example, one would not be able to claim the XIII incarnation of Bahamut for their character without Fang's approval and/or her choosing of another Arbiter. This rule is in effect for open canons as well: they might not be played on CC at the time, but their Arbiters are still reserved for that canon.
IN CHARACTER RULES
01. Arbiters have a variety of functions for a person, and therefore you are allowed to speak to your unique Arbiter throughout threads whenever you wish. An example of that would be:
Fang sighed, it was night once again in this odd world. Staring at her campfire she smirked as a familiar voice rumbled through her mind, "You're thinking about something." The voice said. The Pulsian woman only chuckled. "Nothing important, sweetheart."
The colored text would be the voice of Fang's Arbiter Bahamut, or however you personally want to express your Arbiter's dialogue to your character.
02. Arbiters' forms aren't restricted in any way - feel free to customize its design to better suit your needs, perhaps with the added benefit of using it for transportation!
BATTLE RULES
01. Arbiters have a variety of functions for a person, and therefore obviously you can summon your Arbiter into a battle. Arbiters in Battle have some very specific rules.
02. When fighting in a battle alongside your Arbiter, one half of the damage suffered by the Arbiter is transferred to you, and vice versa. You're connected, therefore share the pain of battle.
03. Arbiters can remain in a battle for a max of seven posts, then which they are forced back to their domain. You may not have them active in battle for any longer than that.
04. Arbiters aren't required to have an elemental alignment - it's up to you if you so wish.
05. Arbiter abilities except the Arbiter's signature ability have a 1 post cool down. The Signature ability is one use per battle.
06. Arbiters may only attack once per turn.
