Idk we have these chickens that live up our street and I feel like making a log for them -March 2nd 2011- So they all appeared this afternoon. We feed the chickens in this tire. So there's a brown hen that's a mother for 7-8 chicks and it seems like the father is a white rooster. Then another brown hen is the mother for one adolescent chicken that is a beautiful red rooster. Her chicks range from yellow to white, some having black within their yellow, some being brown/red, while two are completely white. They got chased today by dogs ): But they managed to escape. Yay! I think they all need names though. PER LIGHTNING' REQUEST, the men are named Joseph and the ladies are Josephina. So First brown hen with the red rooster. She's Josephia Redwood. (NOT RACIST) and her hubby is Joseph Redwood. IDK what gender he baby is so...we'll call it Joshie. >_> Joshie Redwood. OKAY THEN. Joshephina Smith. And Joseph Smith. And Joshie juniors.

-March 04 2011-
It was raining hard today and my mom found one of the chicks, the black one, all by itself. Now it's in a large cardboard box, huddling in a blanket. It finally stopped being terrified of everything and I think it's safe from not dying on me, thankfully. I might not sleep tongiht to see how it'll do in the night.
UNDER LIGHTNING'S REQUEST. The name is Joseph Hpesoj.

-March 19 2011-
I know there has been a long gap but I hadn't seen any of the chickens. Well! The 10 chicks (Yes I have a confirmed number this time) are growing up! They ran away with their mother this morning when I went to go and feed them. All of them are alive and well, it seems! I'm wondering about the other family though. Someone told me they saw the father chase the mother up the hill with the baby at his side...this concerns me.

-March 23rd 2011-
The mother hen came down but...I'm concerned. I only saw 6/10 babies. They were all the white/yellow ones and then...my little black one! He's still hanging in there! They're growing up nicely.

The black family, as my mom calls them now, came down. We both came to the conclusion that there are now three families...but there has only been two roosters. DUNDUNDUN.
