Radiant Garden was a beautiful city, even more so now that the sun was starting to set and one by one the street lights were coming on. The store owners were closing up and serving their last customer while people rushed on home to the warmth and safety of their houses. The town was entering twilight that time between day and night, between light and darkness. With everyone busy with their own lives no one noticed the hooded figure walking up the stairs to the castle, the cloak that was as black as night caught no light from the fading sun light. The figure stopped as he near the top of the stair case, he stopped to turn around and face the setting sun. Twilight had always been the most beautiful time of any day to him, in both this life and the one he once lived and the top of these stairs were always the best place to see it from.
He didn't wait for the sun to finish setting, he turned around while the last few rays could still be seen and pushed on the castle door. The wood creaked and echoed through the castle, a sound he was so use to even to this day that it never annoyed him well not anymore. He slipped inside and into the darkness of the castle, the door closing behind him with a soft thud there was one light on in the entrance way. It lit up enough so he could see every doorway, although he didn't need the light to know where to go Zexion knew his way around this castle even if it was pitch black inside. As he walked up another stair case the sound of his shoes clicking against the floor the only sound in the castle yet again, he turned left on the platform and made for the second last door.
Yet again he walked up another staircase, that was the one thing he never liked about this caste everything seemed to lead to a staircase. His gloved hands glided along the railing, as bright blue eyes hidden by the darkness of his hood glanced around the walls you could never be be to careful in this old castle. He caught the glimpse of a painting on the wall and scoffed at it, the painting was that of a young silver haired boy in a white lab coat. He detested those paintings now, they were nothing more then reminders of what use to be. He wasted no time in climbing the last few stairs and walking down yet another hallway, each door was the same as the last and the castle walls were done in such vivid colors however the darkness of the castle made it look much duller then it was.
At the end of the hallway was a set of large set of double doors, he knew all to well what was behind them. The click of the door knob broke the silence and Zexion stepped into the room. He was greeted with the sight of books, books upon books all on shelves higher then any person or creature Zexion had ever seen. His fingers ghosted over the walls until they found a small switch, with a flick of his wrist the room lit up the lights began to shine and the whole room could be seen in all it's Glory. As he walked further into the room his eyes always looking around at the books, this was the room he had spent most of his time when he was Ienzo. This was the room he would learn everything he had ever wanted to learn, he felt safe and comfortable here or he remembered what it was like to feel safe.
His small hands rose up to the hood of his cloak and pulled the hood down, the lights brought his features out from the darkness. Bright blue eyes with Slate Grey hair, pale skin and pale pink lips Zexion was what one might call an emo his hair was cut in layered bangs with right side of his face covered by his hair reaching down to his collar bone. Fingers trailed over book spines as he walked down isle, the feeling of the books beneath his fingers tips reminded him of the castle library in the World that never was. Suddenly his hand came to a stop on the spine of a thin book, it was pale green and had some gold edging as he pulled the book off the shelf the small picture of a castle and a knight on it. He turned his back to the bookshelf and held the book in front of him, looking down at the front cover.
He opened the book to the first page, his eyes scanned the few words that he page held. Zexion had always enjoyed this book when he had been Ienzo, it was a children's book and one that people would not expect Zexion to read now. For Zexion was always about knowledge, but no one would see him here reading a story book lost in his own little thoughts.

Demyx only heard murmurs about Zexion’s abilities to identify scents but to Demyx, personally, but he swore up and down Zexion had ESP. He just knew who was near him all the time. Maybe it was a gift Zexion lost when he fell at Castle Oblivion and Demyx gulped. Was this the same member he had encounters with before word of his death came? Demyx pushed himself forward to glance into the next room. Once again there was no Organization member. Releasing a disapproving moan, the lean male crossed his arms. Was he just seeing things? Giving a light shake to his head, Demyx fought back those thoughts. There was no way he was wrong. He’d just have to continue to look is all! Again he would peek into another room, only to gape at oil paintings. Demyx stepped into the room, easily distracted by such works of art. Crossing the room, he’d gaze at the several, dusty, paintings. Call it an artist being drawn to another’s artistic works. He would reach, brushing a tad of dust away from a silver haired child’s portrait. Demyx would withdraw his hand and with curiosity stare at the painting. The boy was rather young and looked vaguely familiar to Demyx. In fact, Demyx gazed at the few other works, they all looked vaguely familiar. But how? ”Ah! I have no time for this!” With that, all fragments of thoughts broken as Demyx dashed out of the room. Gazing down the stairs, he firmly nodded. Without a moment of thought, or hesitation, he practically sprinted down the stairs. Once more another hallway with doors, and Demyx let out a groan. ”You got to be kidding! I’m going in circles!”However, sea green eyes would land on the far end of the hallway before Demyx would grin. He wasn’t going in circles! Without thinking once more, he darted to the doors before tripping to colliding into them. ”Umpf!” Pulling back, he gave a light rub at his nose. Typically not what he did! Demyx wasn’t this clumsy! Maybe it was the fact he was anxious into meeting this member? To the point it drove him to do stupid stunts? Needless to say, the Nobody pushed open the doors. There he was, sure enough. His hood was down, silver hair obscuring half his face. A book was in his hands, as if he just got comfortable to read. Without a moment of thought, and excitement bubbling over Demyx spoke up. ”Hey Zex-“ the Melodious Nocturne paused, hand drawn up to wave. He almost slipped a nickname pass the schemer. That wasn’t an intelligent move – luckily for once Demyx caught himself. Zexion wasn’t like Xigbar, whom let the nickname of Xiggy slide, and wouldn’t find it in favor to be referred in such a manner. It wasn’t much longer before Demyx realized he was gawking, mouth still open from the greeting. So it was time to brush that look from his face with a cover up. Releasing a nervous laugh, Demyx brushed sheepishly at his neck before switching his greeting. ”Hey there!”Apparently it didn’t dawn to the dirty blonde of their current surroundings. During the awkward moment, the boy skimmed the room to see books. I mean books upon books! Demyx’s eyes light up as his mouth dropped open, ”O-oh!” A gloved hand rose to his lips before dropping, as the Nocturne retreated with a slight sway to his body. ”Sorry! I didn’t know! I mean – yeah! That’s it! I didn’t – Demyx let out a groan, knowing full well he looked like a fool. However, luck wasn’t on his side as he blurted, ”Why are you reading that book, Zexion?” Oh! Damn it. He had to blurt that didn’t he? Demyx’s shoulders slouched, knowing already he said the wrong thing. Yet, at the same time, he was thankful to test this mistake. It would prove to Demyx if Zexion was still himself, despite what previously accord to him. However, still the taller Nobody braced himself for an insult. It was typically accustomed for him to receive those comments after all. Aww man..! Now did he honestly make the right choice? ______________________________________________________________________ OOC: Hope this is alright. =w=; [/ul][/blockquote]

Zexion had not come to the castle since he ran into that young girl, the one he had tainted with darkness and let lose what he would call a monster onto the world. However he held no shame nor regret for his actions, it was much easier when emotions and feelings were things you could not feel.As his fingers turned another page he wondered why he was standing here reading this, he had done this a few times back in the world that never was. Of course he had always read them in his room, he always assumed it was his way of remembering the life he wanted to get back the life filled with emotions so when he placed his hand on his chest he would feel a beat instead of nothing.
That was what Zexion had always told himself in those days, but why now of all the times to want to read a book. He was starting to see that he could never gain back the people he once worked with and get them to return to their once proud mission. The sad truth was that Zexion had come to accept that he would never gain his heart back,he would forever be the empty shell that was left behind when Ienzo was killed and had his heart ripped from his chest still beating. It was these thoughts that kept Zexion from picking up the scent that seemed to drift closer to him, it was foolish of him to let his guard down. However his silence was short lived as a familiar voice snapped him from his own mind and brought him back to reality. Bright blue eyes shot up to look at the man before him, dirty blonde hair and sea green eyes and the scent of darkness and the ocean drifted from him.
He cursed himself for letting his guard down, he also cursed lady luck for having Demyx walk into his life at this moment in time. Zexion however would not let the other see he was shocked or even slightly surprised, and he would first deal with that horrid nickname that fell from the others lips. "Hello Number Nine, you should remember your manners and address me as Zexion or Number Six" that cold calculating voice echoed softly through the room. If Zexion could hate one thing in the world, it would be the nicknames Demyx had thought up for him or perhaps Xemnas for giving him a name that could so easily be turned into a reference to a sexual comment. Either way he would be some what content with his life.
He watched the other as his sea green eyes looked around the room, he shook his head and released a soft sigh. Of course only Demyx would not notice he was in a library until he was inside and started talking to him. It was slightly amusing in fact, that was the one thing Zexion could always count on in the days past that Demyx would never notice just what room he had walked into until he was in the middle of it and half way through a conversation with some one. Zexion found it the tiny bit relaxing to know that Demyx had not changed, the few members he had run into had not changed either and it put him a ease. Because to Zexion that meant that nothing had changed and there might be a slight chance that one of them might share his dream to try and regain their hearts, even in these twisted worlds.
However when Demyx spoke again, Zexion's mood changed that was the other thing about Demyx he had a habit of asking question he shouldn't ask. Gloved hands slammed the book shut and he turned to his side to push the book back onto the shelf and into the exact spot he pulled it from, once he was sure the book was in the right spot he spun back on his heels to face the other again. Eyes slightly slanted as he gave the other a cold glare "The same reason you ask such stupid questions Number Nine, because I can". Zexion could have said something much more meaner, however if he remembered correctly Demyx was easy to upset and once he was upset about something the whole castle would hear about it.
His face didn't change for a few seconds, just to get the message across that the topic of that book would not be brought up again and he was to not even think about it ever again. Just as quickly as the glare came it disappeared and his face returned to it's neutral face, that was the thing with Zexion he only really had three facial expressions neutral, annoyed and he glare. "It is good to see you again Number Nine, I assume you are well" he had never been good with small talk around Demyx he blamed it on the other.

Though Demyx would dash away as quick as possible, it’d still never be enough to escape the illusions Zexion could simply place around. It seemed luck was on his side as Zexion’s ‘mood’ shifted from annoyance to his typical expression. The blonde fluttered his lashes in innocence, automatically smiling lopsidedly at the positive sign. Maybe time to poke a bit of fun to? ”But Zexion! There are no stupid questions!” The blonde beamed as if proud of his own comeback. To Demyx, if it meant others enjoyed him being stupid and mistake things - he'd act it so the others could have a glimpse of remembering what joy was...It was stressful on him but he figured it was only fair for them... It was true that the blonde could be intelligent – however this meant he’d give up his illusion of being clueless. He’d have to hide some more now wouldn’t he? ”Just stupid people – aw, man.” Once again Demyx found his shoulders slouching as he brushed a hand through his sloppy mullet. He’d have to fix it after awhile, that habit of his impossible to break. Demyx flinched as Zexion slammed the book into its place. Man, he was upset no matter what now wasn’t he? ”You didn’t have to stop reading you know,” came a light protest from the musician. No matter what, he felt bad for interrupting that was important to Zexion – no matter how excited he was to see a member that wouldn’t brutally smash his head into a wall. Footfalls echoed into the area, as Demyx felt the dire need to move. He could never hold still, and being here enclosed in such a place – it reminded him how much he disliked dreary places. After pacing around the room, his own hands gliding over the dusty books and he hummed as Zexion attempted small talk. It was adorable that number six always remained mannered in these types of situations. ”Everything’s been fine! I woke up at a place called Besaid. I stayed there for awhile. The only place I’ve seen with the ocean!” Light sea green eyes went to the shorter Nobody before he chuckled, realizing he almost gave Zexion a life story. Of course he preferred Besaid since it was always obvious how attached he was to his element. ”Demyx. I told you before to call me Demyx.” Raising his right hand to his face, Demyx took a swift nip at his fingertips. Maybe Zexion forgot about their previous conversations after he faded away? Sure Demyx knew he didn’t remember anything, but he could’ve sworn he’d mentioned it before. Dropping his hand to his side, Demyx took a step closer to Zexion. ”I thought you’d have allergies or something here!” With that, Demyx swiftly glanced at the room again. So badly did he want to stir up dust to prove his point, but that would only upset the petite male. ”This place is rather dusty, Zexion. Why don’t you read outside? Or! Don’t tell me!” Instantly Demyx threw his hands in front of him, wiggling his fingers slightly. ”You like spooky places like this?” With that line, the male gave a fake shudder. After, odds are, a moment of awkward silence Demyx babbled. ”It was a joke Zexion! C’mon! Lighten up.” Brushing at the back of his neck the Nobody hesitated before he spoke, ”How have you been? Since, well, you know…” Their deaths or the fall of the organization? His sentence left open for Zexion to make his own conclusion. Either way, Demyx knew he awkwardly stated that line. Shifting uncomfortably on his toes, Demyx squirmed as he spoke. ”A-anyway, why are you in this spooky place?”OOC: …..doesn’t even sound remotely like Demyx in this post…. [/ul][/blockquote]

It was some what comforting to see Demyx was still himself, perhaps it was because to him it meant that somethings never changed no matter what happens around them. "Number Nine I thought you would at least remember that I do not fight anyone over such mundane things" He watched the others body movements and he could tell Demyx was a little afraid. He didn't think his actions would cause such a reaction, He thought about saying sorry, but that was as far as it would get he would only ever think about it. He had never said sorry to anyone for anything in all his years as a nobody, never had and he assumed he never would need to.
Zexion wondered why demyx was even here, of all places Demyx could come and see why did he choose this castle. There was no connection for him here, none of he memories from life with a heart would tie him to this place. Zexion wasn't even sure what world Demyx had been found on, he hardly payed attention to any of the lower members when they came in only ever bothered to learn names and ranks and study them for later use. Demyx snapped him out his little world of thoughts, and one could say what Demyx said was almost smart. "Do you believe that Number Nine" Zexion could never believe such a thing, he was a man of science and he had learned there could be stupid questions and there could also be questions that might change your life. When Demyx insulted himself Zexion found it rather amusing, so amusing in fact that he gave of a soft chuckle. It was strange but he allowed himself to fake some emotional actions, if he thought it suited the situation."Stupid people can sometimes be an others downfall" Zexion never was good at making others feel better about themselves after they made a mistake.
He glanced back at the book, you could see the book had been read a lot and that in fact it had been taken from the shelf many times. Had he really been coming here that often to read that one book, all because it reminded him of his life with a heart or maybe it was because in these times he needed to remind himself of what he striving to return to. "I have read it before, however running into former ally is much more important then reading right now". Let it not be said that Zexion did not at least try and make up for frighting Demyx before, he assumed that would make Demyx feel something. Whatever it was that Demyx assumed he could feel.
He watched the other pace around, as he simply walked along the bookshelf his eyes reading the names of books he had read so long ago. He didn't walk as much as Demyx and stopped once he was close enough to the other male, yet far enough away in case Demyx had some little surge of water. He had learned with Axel and Larxene that at times their elements would sometimes come of their body which they couldn't seem to control it was an emotional surge or something like that, and he did not want to get wet if Demyx was the same. "Well how interesting for you to awaken at a beach, but good to hear you woke up in such a pleasant place" He wondered what Demyx knew about these worlds, had anyone told him anything or was he lost in the dark. He couldn't help roll his eyes at the other when next he spoke, always a need to be called Demyx well he guessed it was better then Demyx demanding he call the other Demdem or something childish like that. "Very well I shall call you Demyx, but you must refrain from ever calling me that nickname you thought up for me". He dared not even mention that nickname, he cursed the fact his name was so close to those sets of words.
Zexion took a step back when Demyx took a step closer, he didn't like when people got to close to him it made him rather uncomfortable. Even more so with the taller members, which was pretty much everyone other then Roxas and Larxene, everyone else made him feel short and child like. That wasn't important now for Demyx was speaking about his home, no wait not his home Ienzo's home he no longer lived here this place was nothing but a memory to him. But yet he couldn't bring himself to not want to come here, this place was useful and special at the same time. "I prefer to read inside, and one must never take books from a library in a castle for this is not a public library this is someones home" He gave the other a some what stern look before he spoke again "And I happen to like this place Demyx". He wouldn't tell Demyx that this use to be his home, well not right now perhaps later when best it would leave Demyx both confused and shocked.
He smirked when Demyx suddenly found himself explaining what he said, yes it was the same old Sitar playing man he knew. To save the other further worry he simply brushed of the conversation about the castle for now and instead answer his other question. "Well I awoke in a place called Alexandria, the library there was filled with books on almost everything" He had enjoyed waking up in such a place, it allowed him to gather some information before he set out. "I have met Larxene, Roxas, Axel and at one point Xigbar but from what I heard he is no longer around" that would hopefully provided Demyx with enough information about his own doings. When the topic of the castle was brought back to attention Zexion decided he would have explain some things. "First Demyx before I answer your question you must answer one for me, on your way here in the castle did you see some paintings perhaps one of a young boy with silver hair eyes filled with emotion and a smile on his face". Sometimes it was hard to believe that Zexion came from Ienzo, as he spoke he walked past Demyx and into the center of the library were a few chairs and tables were.

Demyx let his shoulders fall again as he sighed. ”But sometimes…” He’d shake his head before giving a light smile. ”I got nothing to worry about. Forget it.” Slowly he nodded his head, ”Only if you want to talk. I could always leave, I mean..this place is rather spooky…” Typically Demyx wouldn’t mind attention, and occasionally would go out of his way to get some. However, the male always was the first to run and hide when it came to physical work. Once again his attention fell on Zexion, so he did listen to Demyx vent about the land he awoke in? The dirty blonde nodded his head, the hair dancing as he babbled. ”I’m sure you’d like it there. The people are nice and let me stay,” letting a grin spread to his lips the Nodoby continued. ”Said I could come back too. I should take you there someday.” The light sea green eyes fell onto the others sapphire irises. Demyx wished he could display hope better, as his face practically begged for Zexion to accept. Pulling his gaze from the slate haired Nobody, Demyx almost bounced to another shelf. Though Zexion was not giving emotional signs, his physical posture proved to confirm he was uncomfortable. Humming, the dirty blonde randomly pulled a large book off the shelf. Hazily brushing off the cover as his hums fell silent. Zexion had spoken up again and Demyx gave an obvious fake pout, ”Aww man, fine I won’t call you Zexy. I don’t see why, Xigbar let me call him Xiggy.” Opening the book, Demyx didn’t bother to focus on the text. In fact, his thoughts wondered off to the other members. He had seen Axel, but that was just it – except Zexion now. What was the current fate the other Organization members? Were they still in an abyss somewhere, lost or what? His expression went hollow, as Demyx found himself realizing the depths of not being a Nobody currently. Truth be told, a number of the members he would not be thrilled to see. Marluxia and Larxene were quite the obvious ones – but even one like Vexen Demyx couldn’t find himself sticking around for long. Shaking his head, he finally realized he was spacing. Zexion would give a lecture him on being rude for spacing during a conversation. And, in all honestly, Demyx wouldn’t mind the lecture from this particular Nobody but he didn’t want Zexion even near ‘upset’. ”You like this place?” The book almost fell from the Melodious Nocturne’s grasp, ”You really need to get out more, Zexion! Not many people keep themselves locked up in a musty place!” Shaking his mullet style hair, Demyx ‘felt’ like he needed to do something. Zexion still had so much to live for – being a Nobody or not! Closing the book, shoving it under his one arm, Demyx took a bite at his finger. ”If you can’t take them out of here, why not go to a public place? That way you could get outside, it can’t be good for someone to be locked up in a place like this.””Alexandria? I’ve never heard of it. Though if you liked it there, I bet you read every book on the shelves, huh?” The musician chuckled, already picturing Zexion caring less for anything but vast knowledge. Somehow, it hurt just a tad to imagine Zexion with a heart – only enjoying research and never paying attention to the sitar wielder. As Zexion continued, he kept silent until the pyromaniac’s name. ”So you’ve met Axel then too, that’s good! That means I don’t have to tell you that!” Only after did he shudder, practically whining. ”He didn’t try to burn you too, did he?! And you lived through meeting with Larxene too?! How did you pull that off?! And,” he fell silent at the mentioning of Xigbar. ”Xiggy is…gone again?”Suddenly, Zexion changed the topic – was he trying to avoid discussing a possible death? Needless to say, the dirty blonde wouldn’t press it. The matter was rather depressing, even for an emotionless being. ”Y-yeah, I did,” dropping his hands, Demyx would twist his body to follow the smaller Nobody. Slowly his hand was outstretched as he wanted to place his hand on Zexion’s shoulder. Something felt off with the short male, considering he had cut Demyx off with his own questions. Let alone, why would Zexion ask about an old, now peeling, painting? The Nocturne would drop his hand before Zexion could even glance to notice it; this wasn’t the time to show his intentions of comforting. Most likely the schemer would deny him anyway, wrinkling his nose in disgust at even the slightest bit of an emotional act Demyx wanted to display. ”You knew them? Or was this their home?” The dirty blonde hair would be ruffled as Demyx rubbed at his neck. ”I take it they’re gone…I mean, this place looks abandoned now…””Say, Zexion,” the musician would hesitate before taking a few strides closer. He kept about two arm lengths away, figuring Zexion wouldn’t want him near. I mean, who would want a water user near any of their books? The fact Zexion did not admit for him to leave was stunning; but, then again, Zexion had manners. ”That one kid in the painting is that–” You? “— your younger brother? Did you have one? I know nothing about you…” I’d like to know.[/ul][/blockquote]

Zexion had forgotten the others fear of physical work, he called it a fear because the very mention of physical labour might send Demyx fleeing down a hallway and out of sight. As amusing as that could be to watch someone run away from work, it was also annoying to Zexion he just couldn't stand slackers and Demyx had been one of the biggest. A soft chuckle fell from his lips when Demyx had nothing, he had wanted to say something Zexion could almost sense it but for some odd reason he had silenced himself. It was one thing he had always liked about Demyx, he knew that the senior members were to be respected and he did just that whether it was out of fear or just because he was always so nice he had never bothered to ask at all. "You are free to leave if you like Demyx, I do not want you to think you must stay here just because of rank" his tongue darted out to lick at his lips, they had become suddenly dry. "However I could use the company of a familiar face, and we never did talk much if I recall correctly" it was a very strange way of saying he would like it if the other stayed, which from Zexion even admitting he wanted company was a rather large feet in its self.
Zexion watched the other, it was you could almost say a habit of his to watch people and the way they interacted with others or just everyday situations. He would it interesting to see how they reacted to different thinks; luckily he never watched them in a creepy way most of the time you didn't even know he was looking at you. He gave a small nod when he mentioned how nice the place was; he had never been there and didn't feel like voicing an opinion on a place he probably would never go to anyway. He watched the others eyes change when he spoke of taking him to this island; out of all the members he would say that Demyx was the best person to ever mange to show so much fake emotions it was a wonder sometimes. He really didn't want to have to go to some island and deal with people, but the way Demyx was looking at him almost begging it was he couldn't describe it right now but it was something. "Very well Demyx you can take me to see this island one day, it may prove interesting on some level" his voice still that same cold, calculating voice that it always was.
He flinched a little at that name, of all the things his name could sound like why did Demyx make it sound like sexy. "Number Two was to relaxed and wouldn't care if you called him captain Kitten, as for me I do not wish my name to sound like......sexy" the first part had been a joke well at least for Zexion it was, it was much harder to tell when Zexion was making a joke since he always sounded the same. Zexion disliked the way the last word fell from his lips; it sounded so out of place for him to say something crude to another person. The other had started to pretend to read a book, and if he was correct had spaced out from the moment he opened the cover. He could give the other a rather stern lecture right now; it was simply rude to space out during a conversation and even more when you’re in the other person home. Although Demyx didn't know that this is where Zexion spent his life as Ienzo, he didn't know that once upon a time little Ienzo had stood in that spot and held that same book.
Zexion started to space out a little; he could just picture Ienzo walking through the library his silver hair tucked behind one of his ears. The way his hands would brush the fabric of his lab coat, bright blue eyes scanning signs for the right section a little smile on his lips. It seemed like so long ago that he had been Ienzo; it had been so long that he felt a heart beating beneath his skin as emotions ran through his body and soul. These halls had once been so vibrant, and on most days there was laughter and conversation to be heard all over the place. Yes this place had once been alive and filled with a lot of things, now it was deserted and forgotten the only people to ever enjoy living here had long been forgotten to. Zexion snapped himself out of his thoughts; well he wouldn't be lecturing the other now since he had done the same thing.
He felt a little insulted when Demyx spoke again, no matter what had happen this was still his home to this day. Just after those events that took place, they couldn't live here anymore and now that he had returned he wanted to be here. "Yes Number Nine I do like it here, and I am not locked up here I do go outside" for Zexion it was a bit of a snap at the other, his tone changed just lightly enough to convey that Demyx had indeed done something stupid. He shook his head a little to re-compose himself, it wasn't his fault that he snapped just couldn't be avoided at that moment in time. "If you walk to the other end of the library there is a door, it takes you to an outside sitting area I read there during the day" a small white lie, he had only read outside a few times and that was when he was Ienzo. So there was some truth in it, he just didn't need Demyx to know which part was truth and which was lie. He gave Demyx another small nod, he never pictured that Demyx would hang around him this much even more so in this castle. "It was rather interesting place, and yes I did read every book if I remember correctly he really had read every book there, it had taken him a few days but sure enough every one of those books had been read by him.
A gloved hand rested under his chin, as a single finger just touched his lip ever so slightly it was in a way Zexion's signature stance of ever thought or scheme. "Me and Number Eight entered that struggle tournament the people of Twilight Town are always talking about" he paused for a few seconds, how odd for him to say he had entered into a tournament even more since it was a struggle tournament. "Me and Number Twelve had a rather nice chat caught up on some old times, even found we shared something between us" oh yes he and Larxene had both been betrayed by Axel, they had both been at the wrong place at the wrong time and Axel was all too willing to do it to them. "Yes Demyx, Number Two is in fact gone faded away back into the darkness never to be seen or heard from again" he didn't care really, Xigbar was gone and it didn't affect him in any way shape or form.
He turned to face the other, his blue irises looked into sea green ones they were soft and nothing like those emerald green ones that sometimes stalked him in his dreams. He was taking a moment to think things through, did he wanted to tell Demyx about Ienzo and who he once way only the original six knew about each other’s old lives. Or he had thought until Axel, that man seemed to know too much for someone so lazy and care free. However Demyx was different to most of the other members, he could never see Demyx using information against him to back stab him and leave him for dead. Hell he had a hard time picturing Demyx scheming anything, he was too nice and helpful really it was a wonder he even survived as a nobody sometimes. "This is their home, and I did know them all very well in fact but they left a long time ago most have forgotten them" he ran a finger along to top of a chair, the dust moved in the air between them almost like it was dancing on the wind.
Demyx broke the silence first; it was just more so to get Zexion's attention so he gave a small nod to show he was listing to the other. When he stepped closer Zexion was going to step away, but it seemed the other had already picked up on his dislike for people being too close to him which pleased him some. It seemed Demyx had picked up something after all, perhaps he had noticed the way Ienzo and he looked alike or maybe Demyx was just asking the first question that came to his mind. "His name is Ienzo, the adopted son of Ansem the Wise" he brushed the bangs that covered his face to the side, and for a split second his other eye could be seen however it was short lived as his hair always fell back into place. "He lived here with his adopted Father and his five apprentices, Ienzo was also an apprentice in total there were six apprentices" he paused for a moment; he had never really told anyone this story before. "However they studied something they shouldn't have, he and the other five apprentices all lost their hearts after an experiment went wrong" he was making it rather easy to piece information together, he didn't want to confuse the other and have him complain. "Ienzo rearrange the letters and add an X and you get Zexion, that little boy you saw Demyx use to be me" not a single word left his mouth with any sort of emotions, it made the story sound rather depressing really.

A bit OOC for Dem, but DEAL WITH THE LOOOOOOOOOOOVE.) ”I’m not going to leave,” Demyx couldn’t just leave someone after disturbing them. Unless he needed to run, but Zexion didn’t pose a threat. Humming, the dirty blonde placed the book back on the shelf. ”Ranks or not, can’t leave you alone here! That would be just plain rude!” Stirring the tad of dust he did, Demyx felt his nose wrinkle up to fight back a sneeze. Shaking his head, the blonde let out a whine. ”But Xiggy wouldn’t even let me do that!” A pout came to the blonde’s expression. Pretending to be upset wouldn’t get anywhere with Zexion. Glancing over, Demyx held back the smile from the word ‘sexy’. Instead Demyx would adjust his gaze to face the far wall, allowing the dirty blonde to flush. He couldn’t admit it, but Demyx found it adorable how Zexion felt disgust with the word. Stifling a chuckle Demyx shook his head, sending strands flying from his mullet, as he spoke. ”Fine, fine. Guess I won’t call you that then!”However, Zexion even mentioning about a struggle tournament made Demyx lose it. His chest heaved as he laughed, taking a step back and holding his sides. ”Zexion? You and Axel?! In a match that makes you sweat!? I can’t see it! I can’t, I’m sorry!” Damn did it hurt to even fake laugh like this, and how quickly did he shut up with the mention of Larxene. Light sea green eyes hit sapphire as Demyx exhaled a, ”Wha?” What did the two have in common? The blonde wanted to know without prying. Was it just a hobby or, Demyx felt his throat dry, was it something more? Had he lost a chance? As if his mood didn’t go sour, it didn’t help the fact Zexion had shifted to the castle. About the boy, Ienzo, and it struck Demyx. His stomach knotted up, and Demyx found himself growing ill. This wasn’t…no, could it be? It was too soon to assume. Straightening up from his earlier chuckle, Demyx’s expression became almost flat lined. Almost. He breathed softly, ”Zexion…” Silence followed from the dirty blonde, knowing the story wasn’t over. How swift the atmosphere did change. Demyx’s shoulders slouched as his hand brushed at his neck. He didn’t know what to say. Hell, what could he say? Shifting uncomfortably, the Nocturne nibbled at his left hand’s finger. Dropping his hands the water clone summoner took a half step back. He felt his gaze drop to the floor and he exhaled forcefully. ”Aw, man, I’m sorry for bringing it up,” his eyes slowly lifted to the slate hair Nobody. A silent plea began. He couldn’t grasp why Zexion didn’t show emotion. Sure, he did, they did not have them, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t fake it. Surely Zexion missed those days and wished he had his former life back. He just had to! Demyx knew he longed those days where he could enjoy life to its fullest. Sure he was alive but how alive was one truly without the ability to feel life’s wild, free roaming, emotions? Demyx could remember the harsh reality of the negative emotions, but overcoming them meant you had the sweet taste of victory, even in the slightest degree. Negative and positive were a part of life, and holding neither meant a dull life. Did Zexion prefer the dull void? Stepping forward, the musician knew Zexion would not find the closing gap to his fancy. However this needed to be done even if the Schemer denied. Within an arms’ length away, Demyx let his lashes flutter as he hesitated. He would typically just run forward and embrace another Organization member – but Zexion always kept others at a distance. Sure he was friendly enough, but he only seemed to spend time with Lexaeus and Vexen. Heck, even those two could appear distant from the Schemer. Well, Demyx swallowed hard, it was now or never. Taking another step the dirty blonde practically leapt to ensnare the Zexion into a hug. ”You can show emotions, even if they’re fake,” the pat was soft on the smaller’s shoulder. ”You don’t like people near you. You show that,” the musician sighed heavily. ”So try showing more, Zexion. Life is dull when you don’t.” Typically not Demyx’s style of conversing, considering he would’ve been had a crying fit by now. Perhaps the serious side of the Nobody needed to be showed, or… Pulling back, Demyx released a chuckle. ”Oops! Got carried away there!” He hesitated to pull completely out of the hug; considering he couldn’t admit he was enjoying this, in general sense. Though Demyx couldn’t feel, he could remember the ounce of it that could describe his dilemma. Back in the castle, Demyx would have gotten clumsier near Zexion. He would appear as the biggest jester in the world around him, but Demyx couldn’t help it. Even his palms would shake, mimicking the nervousness. Though he wasn’t labeled as smart in the organization, Demyx knew what it was. Crush, in a general word. However, the Nocturne thought of it as a step in the positive direction. His aim for a heart was to experience the heart fluttering in his chest a hundred percent; to feel the meaning of having butterflies in his stomach. The classics the Nobody was helplessly wanting. Finally Demyx pulled away from Zexion, knowing he did wrong. No one was meant to invade Zexion’s personal bubble. [/ul][/blockquote]

Zexion couldn't recall ever having such a long conversation with Demyx; in fact he couldn't even recall having such a long conversation with any member of the organization. "How nice to see you remember my distain for rudeness Demyx, however I am giving you an option to leave if you like"he paused mid-sentence to let a small cough fall from his lips, the dust in the room was thick and seemed to be attracted to Zexion of all places. "For it would be rude to keep you here when it is rather clear you dislike this place" he had never seen Demyx enter the library back in The World That Never Was, actually he couldn't recall Demyx ever going near the library at any time.
He rolled his eyes at the others nickname, Zexion saw nicknames as something you gave friends and people you cared for. As they were all nobodies they did not care for anyone or anything, for they did not have the emotions to care. They had determination to gain back their hearts, they could even remember the emotions they once had and fake them if need be however it was pointless to fake emotions for it was nothing but lying to you. "Number Two would let you call him anything, his laid back attitude was at least useful for something" every other member knew of his dislike for slackers, it was probably one of the reasons other members tended to avoid him. In fact most members avoided him, the only ones who really seeked him out were Lexeaus, Vexen and on a few occasions Xigbar but he only ever showed up when he wanted to gossip about something Zexion was not interested in.
Zexion was not stupid; he had expected a reaction when he mentioned he had entered a struggle tournament. However for Demyx to just laugh in his face, well it was rude and insulting. It was true he was never seen as much of a fighter; it was how he gained the title The Cloaked Schemer for he always worked from the shadows and had others carry out his dirty work. However he was capable of fighting, so the fact Demyx laughed at the thought of him in a struggle tournament was him insulting both his character and him as a person. Bright blue eyes slanted into a glare, not just a normal glare either this one was much colder than normal however it was void of emotion at the same time. It was like having a dead man glare at you, these cold dead eyes bore into your very core. "Do you find that thought amusing Number Nine, it seems you have proven me wrong for once" he turned his face away from the other, almost as if to silently say he was sick of looking at the other. "You are still as rude and foolish as ever" even without emotions Zexion could be mean, his words would not be laced with emotion but the way they came out in that cold, monotone voice could cut deep.
However it seemed the others fake joy was short lived, for the mention of Larxene seemed to have changed his mood completely. His face returned to its neutral state, and he even turned back to look at Demyx once again. "Yes you see both of us were betrayed by a red haired man, he made sure that both of us faded back into darkness" a small smirk appeared on his lips, he would not hide the fact Axel betrayed everyone at Castle Oblivion. "I am sure he returned to the castle and you greeted him as you always had, unknown to you that the man with emerald green eyes you were speaking to only moments before hand stood there to make sure I did fade away forever".
Demyx had always been an odd member to have, he didn't like to fight and he was more laid back then anyone else in the castle. Yet he remained faithful to them from what Zexion could tell, from time to time he would complain about the work he was forced to do but none the less he would always do it. He was also the only member that Zexion never saw as a threat; for he could never see Demyx running off to use information he had learnt about another against them. It was why Zexion had told him the story of his past, the story of little Ienzo and how he lost his heart. Of course minor points had been left out, for Zexion did not want Demyx to start commenting on how cute or sweet Ienzo sounded.
He could tell from the others body movements he had made him feel uneasy, and why wouldn't it Zexion wasn't known to share things like this with anyone. Demyx took a step closer to him; his first reaction would have been to take a step back however he trusted Demyx a little more than most other people. He couldn't see him attacking him or doing anything like that, he may sometimes be a fool but he still had respect for Zexion and the things he asked. However it seemed that luck was not on his side today, and really when Demyx was around there was no such thing as luck for everything the dirty blonde did came as a surprise to the slate haired man.
Just like that a pair of strong warm arms wrapped themself around his slender frame, the warmth of the other engulfed him and in a way it was almost soothing. Within the darkness of the empty shell that is Zexion, a small part of him wanted to move his arms and complete the embrace by taking the other in his arms too. However Zexion would never let those urges take over his body, he knew he was an emotionless shell of what he once was. That was why as the other held him in a sweet embrace; Zexion did nothing but stand there with his arms by his side. "There is no point showing fake emotions Demyx, they are nothing but lies and do nothing to help us gain back our hearts" he turned his head to the side, he did it so that when the other looked down he would only be able to see the side of his face that was covered by slate grey bangs.
A soft blush began to creep across his face; the warmth that it created warned Zexion about it so he could react before the other could see. The fact that the dirty blonde had got him to blush from a simple hug was unsettling, Zexion would never admit it but this was the first hug he had ever received from anyone who wasn't his adopted Father. "My life is not dull Demyx, very little changed in my life when I became a nobody" he wanted to hug to end, yet he didn't want it to end. For once the cloaked schemer was confused about something, confused about how he could be enjoying this hug so much that his body actually reacted with a blush.
When the other half pulled out of the hug, Zexion was still unsure how to act. His face was still tinted a soft shade of red, which he would never let Demyx see for at the current moment he feared his reaction. "Yes it seems you did Demyx, however I have suffered no bodily harm" Zexion for the moment decided to act as if nothing had happened, it would save him from having to think about it and would save him from anymore Demyx hugs. Bright blue eyes focused on one of the bookshelf’s to the side, waiting for that sweet smell of the ocean to move away from him and to allow the blush to fade. Just like that the other youth took a step away from the slate haired nobody, which allowed him to regain his himself and the blush to fade away as if it had never been there.
Once he was sure it was gone he turned back to face the other, bright blue eyes locked with eyes of sea green and for a moment he missed the sweet embrace they shared. "You must be hungry Demyx, I believe the kitchen as the ingredients for me to make Banana bread if you like" around Castle that Never was Zexion had been a rather good cook, in fact he had been in charge of a lot of the meals.

the taller of the two whimpered, biting roughly at his glove. Oceanic eyes focused on the slate haired Nobody and Demyx knew he instantly messed up. It was unbelievable for Zexion to ever play anything, or ever wanting to break a sweat. How could he not laugh at it? Wasn’t Zexion trying to yank his leg? However, the sapphire eyes proved quite the seriousness to the calculating manipulator. His lips held a pout and Demyx slurred an apology. The mentioning of Larxene made Demyx shudder with a state of fear. Yes, she was one hell of a scary woman – and Demyx didn’t have much fond memories of her. Heck, he even stated before when she left it’d be a lot quieter. Of course Demyx would never bravely admit that within earshot of Larxene. Without letting his face display his worry, the Nocturne awaited for Zexion’s explanation in hopes it wasn’t…Suddenly the teeth dug back into the leather. He wasn’t too late, was he? Even without emotions, Zexion could still handle her company in more ways than one. Ignoring the physical pain that shot through his ring finger, the Nocturne felt the physical heartbeat increase. Did he lose any chance with knowing the schemer? Luck was on his side as Zexion spoke simply of being betrayed. Releasing the finger from his teeth and releasing a sigh, Demyx found relief of nothing more than that. However, the sea green eyes went hollow instead of holding their luster. The Nocturne’s gaze fell on Zexion as he breathed, ”Axel..?” Demyx slowly shook his head, exhaling rather loudly as if lost in a debate. ”Why would he…I mean…yeah, why would he do that?” Weight shifted to his toes as Demyx’s hands flew up defensively. ”A-anyway, it doesn’t matter now since you all made up! Right?”They had embraced and Demyx wasn’t surprised at the lack of response. However, considering Zexion wasn’t locking him up within his Lexicon the Nocturne felt safe. A content sigh fell from Demyx’s lips as he did lean into it. His nose twitched with the movement of slate hair, and Demyx had fought back a sneeze. The locks were surprisingly soft, unlike Demyx’s own gelled hair, and it sure did tickle. Zexion was casting his gaze away, but Demyx wasn’t going to complain – just yet. The fact that the Schemer hadn’t retreated nor spat was more than enough of an award. Demyx wasn’t pleased with having to withdraw from the hug, but it was better not to tempt Zexion anymore. Zexion was still refusing to even look at Demyx, and the dirty blonde’s shoulders slumped. The slate haired male had ushered quite a bit of talk while they had hugged, and the blonde let out a sigh. ”I don’t know how to explain why I like faking, Zexion.” The comment of bodily harm made the Nocturne’s lips a quick quirk upward, ”Of course not! Hugs don’t ever hurt!”Suddenly the previously hollowed eyes flashed with a sense of real emotion. The hands instantly flew into the air as the Nobody released a bellow. Of course, the Nobody found himself mimicking his Dancer nobodies. Shifting his body, the sitar user didn’t care who was watching him dance or where he was at. The cause of this ‘victory dance’ being banana bread? Seriously? Was the Melodious Nocturne that simple minded? Demyx would never admit the truth, but something home cooked would hit the spot. Let alone who would honestly be cooking for the blonde. ”Banana bread! C’mon Zexy!” Without realization, the taller male would embrace the shorter male beaming. ”Let’s go get some!”Dashing over toward the library door, Demyx pointed at the open door. ”Which way, Zexion?!” He’d jog in place, letting the shorter Nobody pass to take the lead. As Demyx would follow the schemer toward the kitchen, his voice echoed against the hallway. Chirping a song, the Nocturne lacked any care for the annoyance of others, ”Banana bread, banana bread, banana bread~♫”However, the gears were grinding as Demyx thought on a very touchy subject. The dirty blonde found himself sighing deeply, ignoring the previous singing he had been doing. How could he explain his pity demands to an original Nobody? Maybe it was impossible for Zexion to even want a heart, but Demyx would never know the truth considering this was the longest he’d conversed with him. However, the Nocturne needed to speak up. ”Wait,” Speeding up and catching Zexion before rounding the corner to open the door, Demyx cut in front of the slate haired male. Demyx’s hand would reach for Zexion’s. ”Zexion,” the petite hand was placed on the taller male’s chest, hovering right over the heart. ”I want this back. I can’t tell you how much either,” Demyx’s hands would drop from the wrist, leaving Zexion to have the choice to pull away. ”Every day I do miss my heart.””I cannot stand it, Zexion. My music isn’t true music,” Demyx’s chest heaved. Even if he didn’t feel emotions, the thought of even being an incomplete artist stirred the memories of sorrow. Emotionally he was still flat lined, but that didn’t mean the body couldn’t physically form tears. However the tears wouldn’t fall, but only glisten at the rim of Demyx’s eyes. ”I can’t let others know my emotions through my songs, when even I can’t feel them myself.”An obviously forced laugh, ”You think it’s pointless. I know that, but…” the left index finger was bit through a thick glove. A few nips were taken at the worn leather, before the shoulders straightened. ”To any musician we hope to get at least one person to understand.” A warm smile would bless Demyx’s lips as he piped, ”And sometimes we only want one person to care..!”As if nothing happened, the Nocturne stepped backward to free up the doorway. ”Guess it’s time for banana bread..!” Oceanic eyes would follow the shorter figure if he’d pass, questioning if Zexion would catch the hints. Watching the door, Demyx let out a gasp. It appeared to be stuck and instantly he sprang an idea, ”I’ll get the door!”The gloved hands went to the knob and went to twist. Nothing. Puffing his cheeks, Demyx repeated the said action but placed his weight on the door. Again, nothing happened. Standing back for a moment, Demyx seemed to have thought on this. Out of curiosity, the Nobody gave a swift kick and without realization, water splashed from the sole. Keeping his foot in place, the boy gave a sigh. ”That didn’t even work?!”Placing his foot to the floor, Demyx twirled to face Zexion. Brushing at the back of his neck, he let out a sigh, ”Now what?” Had the blonde forgot about Corridors of Darkness? Shaking his head, Demyx slumped. Only to jump, yelping in surprise, because of the door creaking open behind him. Spinning back to the door, he chirped, ”I GOT IT!” Arms were flung into the air as a victory pose, the dirty blonde thrilled with succeeding. That was, until, the hinges went lose and suddenly the door came crashing down. Leaving Demyx to be rather speechless. Slowly lowering his arms, Demyx let out a ‘ah..ha..ha’ before casting his gaze toward Zexion. Nervously the dirty blonde would also add, ”Oops.” [/ul][/blockquote]

Bright blue eyes watched the others body cower in fear; he always found it interesting how much Demyx seemed to react to things. Xigbar would have made a joke about his face, Vexen would have glared back, and Larxene would have made a rude comment other members had never done anything to Zexion to be rewarded with such a glare so he could only guess what they would do. But yet Demyx stood before him and by the looks of it wanted to flee, since the sea green eyed nobody remained Zexion took that as a good sign. "Try to remember your manners Demyx, or should we look into getting you an etiquette teacher". The slate haired nobody was never good at defusing a situation even more when he was the one that had seemed to make the situation bad.
He was pleased with the fact that Demyx was an easy person to distract, not in a childish way more of that when a new topic was brought up the other seemed to jump head first into that one and forget about the last topic. Of course not to say Demyx was a complete fool, Zexion had come to see that a little bit. For you see Zexion was a people watcher in some sense, when he wasn't reading in the library or involved in some experiment down in the labs he could be seen around the castle others would assume thinking, plotting or in some cases when he held a book just reading. In truth he was watching the other members interact; you could learn much about someone when they didn't know you were studying them. It was how he knew that Xaldin could cook, or that Luxord could shuffle a deck of cards in over forty different ways.
In those days when Zexion had run into Demyx, the other was always so clumsy and seemed to speak very little and when he did it leaned more to the side of random drabble then proper conversation. Which he had always thought was normal for Number Nine; however on one day he had observed Demyx interacting with a few members that had gathered in the observation room and the youth seemed a lot more capable of forming sentences and moving around the room without making a fool of himself. To Zexion it had always been something he could never figure out, and he so hated when he couldn't figure something out.
The water user’s voice broke him out of his thoughts, he had been paying attention of course never to be confused with outright ignoring the other for his own thoughts Zexion would never succumb to such a thing. "I know too much was all he said, to think he takes my life and doesn't even give me a reason. He used that dam Riku replica Vexen made to do it, as for putting the past behind us I will for now" his signature smirk tugged ta his lips, it was a tell-tale sign that the Cloaked Schemer was doing what he did best scheming.
It was no lie that he had not forgiven Axel, in fact it was far from that and it would remain like that until he felt that Axel had paid enough for what he did. With the current situation with the worlds and the amount of free time he found himself with, he had spent many hours scheming how he could get Axel back for what he did. It made it easier for him to sleep at night, for when he closed his eyes piercing emerald green ones bore into him as he felt the darkness that was him unravel and fade away. It was the nightmare that plagued his mind, even sometimes during the day he could swear when he closed his eyes he could almost see those eyes looking at him. If it wasn't for Demyx speaking up, Zexion might have become lost in his own thoughts for once. "it is pointless to fake them, an insult to your heart by trying to live on without it and I know hugs do not hurt Demyx however a surprise hug does not always go as planned, you could have tripped and knocked me to the floor" his voice did not rise, nor did it fill with anger but Zexion was still frustrated.
As if the dirty blonde couldn't get any more strangers, he seemed to jump right around too happy at the mention of food. The cloaked schemer couldn't help but roll his eyes at the other, to get so excited over something as simple was food was so childish. The forbidden nickname was fell from the water users lips again "Dem-" however before he could finish the others name, he was yet again pulled into another embrace. The warm feeling yet again rose within him, and that urge to hug the other back rose quicker than last time almost like it could remember how much he enjoyed the last one. He swore to himself if he blushed again he would smack Demyx with a book, not hard enough to cause mass amounts of pain just enough to make the other avoid him for an hour or two.
Just like that the blonde dashed over to the door, the energy he had was almost amusing and on any other person Zexion might consider tricking them into the lab to study them a little. However he had promised him Banana bread and Banana bread was what he would get, perhaps another time he could trick Demyx into the lab to study the blonde and his strange habits. Zexion walked past the blonde pushing the door open as he did, he didn't check to see if the other was following him. The current song about Banana bread allowed him to know he was still right behind him; it was almost calming to have the castle filled with voices again.
He walked down the hallways, turning a corner when need be the whole time the music lover behind him sang his song. At the end of the current hallway was another oil painting, he had no idea why Ansem insisted on having paintings of them around the castle. However this one was more of a family painting as you might call it, the rather large painting depicted Ansem in his white lab coat holding the hand of Ienzo who wore a matching lab coat. Eyes of a brighter shade then his own looked back at him, the small smile on his face a reminder of what he once had and what he lost. At least he knew that the kitchen was just around the corner, the kitchen held no such paintings and was free from painful memories.
However it seemed Demyx had other ideas at the moment, for the blonde came rushing past him to stop the slate haired youth before he turned the corner. Gentle fingers took hold of his wrist, and for some reason he didn't pull his hand away he wanted to see what Demyx wanted. His hand came to rest just over the others chest, not touching it just hovering over where the heart should be located. The words the blonde spoke came almost as a shock to him, never had Demyx expressed such a need for his heart before it was almost like Zexion was seeing a new side to the water user. The only thing that was bugging Zexion was the painted eyes that were looking at him, and that smile that he could no longer have almost mocking him. It was why Zexion took a step forward so he stood next to Demyx, pressing his hand onto the others chest as he did so and sure enough there was no heart beat but he didn't remove his hand. "I want my heart back also Demyx, I long to have it back it is why I will always remained loyal to our goal".
Demyx went on to explain about how emotions related to music, how without his heart he felt like his music wasn't what it could be. When he mentioned that you only needed one person to care, Zexion almost wanted to look back at the painting for Ansem had been that one person who cared for him so long ago but those days where far gone. "Your music is loud, annoying, disturbing, constantly waking me and breaking the silence I do so enjoy when I read" he paused for a moment "However the melody and tune is so beautiful that I always welcomed it into my day". He didn't look at the other his eyes remained trained on the kitchen door, he had never said anything like that before and was sure if the other blushed or started hugging him again he himself would start blushing again.
The body beneath his hand moved away, the mood had once again changed thanks to the music lover’s love of Banana Bread. It was almost comical that he could go from something so serious back to the mindset of a child, however Zexion would not complain for he always had found it interesting. He allowed his fellow member his moment to shine, he would not tell the other that the door had always been difficult nor would he move to help him. In truth Zexion was finding it rather amusing to watch, A nobody being defeated by a mere kitchen door it were things like this that should be painted for all to see and remember. When the door did spring open and the other took a stance of victory did things get boring again, however it seemed luck was on Zexion’s side as the door fell from its hinges and smacked the other on the head.
The shorter member began to walk into the kitchen, as he chuckled behind his lips slightly muffled because of his closed mouth but none the less it was the only think remotely emotional Zexion ever did. "Father and I were the only two people who ever did know how to open that thing...." at the mention of his adopted father Zexion stopped the chuckle; he moved around Demyx and walked into the kitchen. With his back turned to the other he removed his long black cloak, folding it carefully over a chair he then removed his elbow length black gloves. The young man wore the black boots that all members wore, tight black pants and a baby blue shirt that clung to his body. It was Ienzo's but due to the fact he always wore clothes much bigger then he needed when he was little they fitted perfectly now. "Now Banana bread"

Blurted rather too quickly, ”Someday you’ll have your heart! And then you can do what you wanted!” With that, his arms were flailed out almost mocking a certain ‘imagination’ line and he laughed. ”Now! Time for that banana bread!”Now he regretted kicking the door as Demyx rubbed the back of his head. Tears were at the brim of his eyes, a physical reaction to the sudden pain that was unknowingly self-afflicted. He would give a childish pout as Zexion would chuckle, stifling it the best he could. ”That hurt you know..!” As Zexion passed, the hand pressed still to his lips, was when Demyx let a smile form. ”Glad to know how to get you to laugh. Though it’s going to hurt..!” The last word held a whiney tone, as the blonde once more brushed at his head. They’d enter the kitchen and Zexion placed his cloak on a chair. Demyx wandered toward the table, taking the far end chair and pulling it out. Flopping down on the piece of furniture, Demyx would kick up his feet to where his ankles would rest on the corner; his feet dangling off the edge. Already Zexion was beginning to gather what was needed, and the musician shifted. Humming a song only was when Demyx paused, before realizing what he could do. Summoning Arpeggio with a flick of the wrist, the musician straddled the blue and white instrument in his lap. His left palm supported the instruments neck as fingers worked at plucking strings. Lashes could flutter shut as the musician played, already knowing where to place his digits. A simple warm up to the Nocturne as he played the simple cords he had heard long ago. Though it was a vague memory, Demyx could still remember that mermaid’s voice – her song longing to live on land. Of course that song would haunt him, but with a positive state of mind, with the fact he’d learn how to play a basic version of her song. With his eyes still closed allowed the vivid details surface; like her hair that was a few shades lighter than crimson and those deep sky blue eyes. He’d admit she was, indeed, pretty but even the oblivious Demyx knew the longing in her eyes. Huh, wonder if she got that guy yet.Light sea-green eyes had to focus before the dirty blonde arched his head to the left, watching Zexion almost intently. ”You sure you don’t want help?” Several strands fell in Demyx’s vision before music momentarily halted so Demyx could fix his hair. Once more music filled the room as Demyx went back to playing. ”Where do you keep the plates?” He questioned with a light plea. Yes he was quite lazy when it came to missions, and slacked off from chores, still didn’t mean Demyx couldn’t remember the feeling of guilt. The notes faded as Demyx shifted in the chair before placing the sitar to his right, with the neck being supported by the table. His boots were lifted from the wood and hit the floor with a click. Allowing his arms to push himself off the chair Demyx let out a light groan. Stretching of his arms followed before glancing at the table; dirt from his boots wouldn’t do well to eat around. Instead of brushing the dirt off by hand (Demyx actually stop to realize Zexion wouldn’t be pleased with a dirty floor!), the Nocturne let his lips curve up with an idea. Removing his gloves before hanging them on his sitar, Demyx mocked cracking his fingers before setting to work. Drawing water from the atmosphere without Arpeggio was always a new experience. Unlike Axel and Larxene, which both could summon surges simply, Demyx had little practice with actually manipulating the element. Then again, the first time you tried and a tidal wave came instead of a simple drop of water – would explain the hesitation. Fingers twitched and Demyx found himself smiling at the fact he had drawn water, and he got to work on casting it to the table surface. He drew the water in form of an orb, from the table, Demyx ‘felt’ thrilled to have gotten the dirt. Pacing over to the sink, the Nobody let the water fall directly down the drain. ”Done with that!” Obviously Demyx was quite proud of himself, indeed. His hand would reach into the sink, twisting the plug into place before Demyx drew more water from the air. Filling the sink with fresh water, the Nobody concerned on how well the pipes worked in the castle. Humming the dirty blonde began glancing around to find dish soap, and released a light ‘yay’ when coming across the said item. Mimicking a tiny whirlpool by twirling his finger, Demyx would apply the soap and chuckle at the bubbles that formed. ”That was fun!” Stating the obvious, much? Reaching into the cabinet Demyx would pull two plates out, humming as he darted to put them on the table. Spinning on his toe, oceanic eyes focused on the endless drawers before shifting nervously. He pointed at a few, mumbling ‘eeney, meeney, miney, moe’. Landing on the farthest right, he darted forward and reached to pull the drawer open. Only to come to face with junk, making the blonde groan, ”That usually always works…!”Oceanic eyes landed to the slate haired Zexion, who was still in the process of making batter. Suddenly the lips spread to almost a sly smile, as Demyx’s mind formulated a plan (hey! He does think!). Dirty blonde hair swayed as Demyx slinked toward the shorter Nobody. Coming directly to Zexion’s right, Demyx bent enough to whisper in a whiney tone, ”Zexion, I want to help!” Lips still held the smile as Demyx reached for Zexion’s hand. ”C’mon Zexion! It looks fun! Let me help, please?!” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - OOC: Muse died. Hope it’s alright anyway. [/ul][/blockquote]

Zexion knew he would have his heart back one day, as to what he would do with himself once he got it he had no idea. For one thing he was sure Ansem would never welcome him back, it was his fault that the lab had been built. "As I informed you before Demyx, the things I do now are what I did when I had a heart well minus the fact of trying to regain my heart". It was true he did the same things read, spend hours on end in the lab and of course study. However there was no longer a loving father in his life, he would have to face the sadness and feeling of being alone once he did get his heart back.
Blue eyes had inspected the damage to the door; he easily saw it would only need to be re-attached. A task that Demyx would be given, since he did break the door there was no need for Zexion to even worry about it. "I would get used to it if I was you, who knows how many times it will fall on you again while you fix it later" he had no need to use a forceful tone, the other would do as he asked even if he did complain. Zexion wanted to question the music lover about his comment; he wanted to know why the other wanted to hear him laugh. However the slate haired nobody brushed it off, focusing on it might cause the other to hug him again and that wasn't something he wanted or maybe he did.
Than just like that Zexion began to move around the kitchen, with a grace that was all his own perhaps it was because he knew the kitchen like the back of his hand it was after all his home. The shorter man gathered everything he would need to make Banana bread onto the counter, of course he made sure to keep everything away from the end Demyx had ended up at. There was two reasons for this the first being that with the blonde’s feet so close to the counter dirt might get into the food, secondly he didn't want Demyx to sneak any batter beforehand and ruin his appetite.
Very careful the nobody began to measure out his ingredients, making sure he got the exact measurement needed no more no less. It was a habit he picked up from working in the labs, although food would not possibly burn all his skin off or kill him if not measured out correctly it was just a habit he couldn't help. Once he had double checked everything, he placed it all in the bowl and then began to mix everything with his hands. The substances began to mix together, as slender pale fingers worked through them.
The silence of the kitchen was soon broken, not by talking but by the soothing tunes of the water users sitar. It filled the room; the tune was one that even Zexion know. Of course no one put Him and Xemnas knew about that, his one and only mission to the underwater world of mermaids. It wasn't the fact he had been half dolphin, the fact his upper body had been completely exposed and naked to the world was what got to him. When he had returned he had complained to Xemnas and made it clear he would not return to that world, and if he needed someone to study it that badly he should send Vexen.
The slate haired youth had come rather lost in his task, the music only helping further allow him to shut everything else out around him. However a sweet alluring voice brought him back to the kitchen, it took him a moment to regain himself blinking a couple of times before he remembered the other had asked him questions. "Number Nine I am capable of making this by myself, and the plates are in the cabinet to the right of the sink" it came out as a slight snap, however why he wasn't sure. The other hadn't done anything wrong, however he had a slight feeling he hated the way the music had made him shout everything out and he had come completely defenceless.
He quickly sub-merged himself back into his work, the other was affecting him in strange ways and he wasn't sure how he felt about it yet. So while the blonde fiddled around the kitchen, Zexion focused on the banana bread and nothing else. The batter was coming along nicely, the smell of banana was almost the only thing he could smell and once it completely took over it would be time to put it in the oven. However a loud groan fell from his companies lips, which caused Zexion to turn his attention to him fingers halting in all movement. "Draw next to the oven" his voice had returned to normal again, however he made sure to keep things short to prevent further out breaks.
Blue eyes looked back down at the batter, ears waiting for the sound of a draw opening to follow the footsteps. However no sound ever came, the next thing he heard sent shivers down his spine. That sweet voice whispering into his ear, the others breathe tinkled his skin. The pale skin hidden away by slate grey bangs began to heat up, as a soft shade of rose red moved across it. "Demyx I told you I'm fine" that was good stay strong, don't let him get to you. He was ready to brush the other off, simply tell him to go back and sit down but then fingers touched his skin.
His shoulders stiffened ever so slightly, as his body didn't know whether to relax or get ready to flee. His own hand moved ever so slightly against the others, he wasn't sure if he had wanted it to do that or if his body was taking action all on its own. The cloaked schemer turned to face the other nobody, his cheeks stained red blue eyes searching ocean green for an answers. No one had ever touched Zexion like this; no one other than Ansem had ever been loving to him. The moment was gone just as quickly as it came, for with in a split second Zexion pulled his whole body away from the other. "B...batters done" he turned and walked away, the blush fading from his skin.
The batter was transferred to a try and placed in the oven, as the confused nobody stood at the sink washing his hands free of the leftover batter.
OOC: not as great as I wanted, it sucks I know but the delete of my first one killed it for me
