Seven little memories [Namine]

[Roxas]

He was here again...

Almost like an animal stalking his territory, Roxas found himself making his usual rounds around Twilight Town. He really had no clue WHY he was, he knew that there were no Heartless or nobodies in this world- at least not anymore. But still- he felt inclined to, as though he was hoping to run into someone from his past... Hayner, Pence, Olette, Axel, Xion....Namine. The blond nobody would be lying if he said he didn't miss his friends. Apart of him wished he was still oblivious in that fake Twilight Town where he didn't have to worry about the world or Nobodies, or Sora- or anyone for that matter. Just him and his friends living life fully- no matter how fake it was.

But then reality hit him, he didn't want to forget his memories of his Nobody friends, of Axel and Xion- or of Namine, the mysterious girl who helped him through his seven days of hell. He refused to forget- which was probably why he still had all of his memories intact after the Calamity happened. He was a "special" nobody after all- but other than wielding the keyblade Roxas didn't really see anything "special" about himself. Walking through the quiet streets of the town, Roxas's bright blue eyes scanned the expanse as though expecting something to pop up and attack- even if he knew it wouldn't happen you just couldn't be too careful these days...

Releasing a heavy sigh he ran his hands through his hair as he stood up straight arms crossed. "Come on Roxas get a grip. There's nothing here and you know it." He murmured to himself as his eyes laid on a familiar hole in the wall across the street. Deciding to look just in case Roxas headed towards the mansion, wondering he would find anything there. Upon getting through the forest and into the broken down mansion's walls, he was suddenly hit by a wave of nauseating nostalgia. The bad kind that reminded him of the hell DiZ and Riku put him through... He wouldn't forgive those two no matter if they were "good people" they ruined his life! Ramming his fist into the nearby decrepit wall, he glared at nothing before pulling his fist away from the small dent in the wood and stone.

It was pointless to get angry over something of the past. But still... he couldn't let go. Sighing the keyblade wielder ventured deeper within the mansion, expecting Nobodies to attack at any second- yet the place was barren and empty. Not one of the white creatures appeared, it was odd... And a bit disturbing- the place really felt like a "haunted mansion" with nothing in there to fill it up... Walking past the broken table and up the stairs, he turned to his left and tread down a hallway.

The only door that existed in the area was a simple white door- entering it he remembered this was where he met Namine! Even the pictures were still there! Walking up to the pictures on the walls he came across a very familiar one- one with him and Sora... Gritting his teeth he looked away and found himself walking over to the chair he sat in when he talked to Namine. Sitting down it for old times sakes he sighed and stared off, remembering what had transpired during his time during those seven days....

His thoughts were broken however as he heard the door creak snapping his head up, he noticed a familiar person and couldn't help but gasp, it couldn't be her! "Namine..."

[Namine]

She would admit she had been suspicious since she had come back to the mansion. Namine had actually been living there again in her short stay, but she did make constant forays into the town now, though mostly to get something to eat and buy more drawing supplies. And when she had returned from today's foray and noticed the door hanging open? That was definitely suspicious. It was probably just one of Twilight Town's many young 'adventurers' taking a look around the supposedly haunted mansion, but she couldn't be too cautious. As such, she slipped as quietly as she could into the stark white room that rather contrasted the dingy mansion. And she almost jumped out of her skin when someone said her name, even if she did know the voice better than a lot of other people she'd met.

"!! ... Roxas?" Namine questioned, not really believing her own eyes for a second. Roxas had returned to Sora... But then, she herself had faded as well, and she was here as well. She let out a breath of relief. She had been afraid someone with ill will towards her had come in. "You scared me... I never thought we'd meet here again. It's been a long time, hasn't it?"

[Roxas]

"Yeah...it has." Roxas couldn't think of much to say. He was surprised she was here! Alive! And her own being... just like he was with Sora... Could this be the work of the Calamity? Pushing the confusing thought aside he got up a broad smile on his face. "It's good to see you again Namine." He walked over towards her his black boots clicking against the pure white floor. He wanted to hold her hands desperately to see if she was real and not some type of illusion or program. Yet- he refrained himself and instead looked at her hands which were occupied with bags.

"Uh! Let me help you with those!" He gently took the bags from her hands and walked over to the table setting the items down before he turned towards her arms crossed a small smile on his face. "So- mind telling me why you're here?" He paused as though thinking over his words before he uncrossed his arms and rubbed the back of his neck with his right hand. "I mean... this isn't what I'd call an ideal place to live..." Yeah with all the bad memories it brought up for him of course it wouldn't. But if Namine was here he could tolerate it.

Just a little bit at least.

[Namine]

Namine gave Roxas what was meant to be a genuine smile, but ended up being more of a sad one than she'd intended. He probably had hope that being free could last a lot longer... but as confusing as everything was, Namine could feel somewhere inside herself that this was a false hope. The people who were alive again... the lovers made across schisms, the families reunited. It was all going to return to normal, she knew. She just shook her head when Roxas asked why she was still here, when everything about the place just told her to run away and not look back.

"... This... this is the only home I've ever had. No one ever comes around here, so I just thought... you know, that I could stay here for a little while. That's all..." Namine answered, clasping her hands behind her back. She stared down at her feet for a few moments before speaking again. "... I never got to thank you for your help. I don't want to think of what Larxene would have done to me if everyone hadn't come to help."

[Roxas]

Roxas could understand how Namine felt about this place. Unlike his dislike for the mansion (for obvious reasons) he could understand where she was coming from. For him "The World That Never Was" was his "home" it was where he had the most memories of. When he was "born" he had no memories of his somebody or anything. When he began to get out of his zombie-like state he began bonding with Axel and Xion and created his own memories one's that would never disappear. Even if the castle was gone he still held memories of that place for good or bad...

"Yeah... I think I understand what you mean."

Bright blue eyes looked into the female Nobody's own matching blue eyes and Roxas couldn't help but smile a bit. Rubbing the back of his neck with his left hand he looked away slightly anywhere but on Namine. "It was nothing really..."

He stopped his embarrassed reaction letting his arm fall limp to his side. "I just didn't want you to get hurt."

[/color] He looked away again. "I wouldn't know what I'd do if I lost you..." He murmured with a light unnoticed blush. "B-But you're okay now and that's all that matters!" He said as he looked at Namine with shining blue eyes.

A thought ran through his mind before he questioned. "You are okay right Namine?" He asked suddenly feeling worried about the girl who he wouldn't admit he liked. He didn't deserve anyone after all...[/blockquote][/justify][/size]

[Namine]

Namine suppressed a giggle. She could have sworn she almost caught the hint of a blush from Mr. Zombie when he muttered something or other under his breath that she didn't quite catch. She nodded in reply to his question though. "I think so. It would probably be a different answer if Larxene had gotten me. Really, thank you. If there's anything I can do to repay you, please let me know."

She looked away from Roxas then and out the window, staring at nothing for a little while in thought. She felt bad leading Roxas on like she was completely defenseless when just recently she found out that such wasn't the case. Though, she had a very small idea of how to work her new-found 'power' and would probably end up hurting herself more than the person she was trying to attack. "Um... I found out something really cool the other day that I can do..." Namine said sheepishly, looking back at Roxas and smiling. She concentrated for a second and, in two flashes of light, the pair of wing-like Keyblades she had discovered she was able to wield appeared at her back.

"I... I can make them appear, but... I don't know how to use them..."

[Roxas]

Roxas's eyes widened as he stared at the two white-winged keyblades in shock and awe. He had thought at a time that Namine would be able to wield a keyblade like her somebody could. As he could due to Sora- but he never imagined she would be capable of dual wielding! Recovering from his shock he smiled almost seemingly proud of her accomplishment.

"You're right Namine that is cool and useful!" He couldn't help but grin at the memory witch's declaration. "But it doesn't mean I can't teach you Namine." His grin melted into a smirk. "I can help you learn how to wield the keyblade ,it's not really that hard really." He rubbed his arm as he looked away for a moment before looking at her. "T-That's if you want me to teach you?" Roxas stuttered despite himself. What was it with him when he was around her?!

She was attractive yes, and really, really sweet and nice... But is it possible that he...? No. He couldn't be... He couldn't be- in love? Roxas felt a bit tired yet excited at the thought before he mentally sighed. He needed to think... think very hard on this...

[Namine]

((Though they do look kind of like wings, neither of them are white XD Discord and Harmony)

"Really? You would?" Namine asked, excitement sparkling in her bright blue eyes. Then she frowned a bit and shuffled her foot. "Um... actually... I can't, um... I can't use them normally," She said, reaching her hand back towards one of the hilts. The blade swung quickly in the same direction her arm was going, effectively keeping itself out of her reach, though it did hit the wall and cut an unfortunately placed drawing of something-or-other that she didn't recognize in two. "I can kind of control them through gestures... but I can't get either of them into my hands. B-but I'd love to try if you want to! If I learn how to fight with them, then you won't have to worry about me as much!"

Regardless of her strange Keyblades and the fact that she couldn't control them well, she had a big smile on her face. This would be the first time someone had ever done something nice for her. A relationship, however, was the last thing on her mind. Why even think about it? It would be cruel to do that to someone else, so far as she was concerned. "So when can we start?"

[Roxas]

Roxas chuckled, it seemed as though she couldn't get her keyblades to cooperate with her at the moment. "Don't worry Namine, I'll teach you, its actually pretty easy." He spoke though knew that it came naturally to him- due to Sora being his somebody. In truth he wasn't really good at explaining. And explaining how to wield the keyblade would be a challenge. Though Roxas would still try! He promised Namine after all.

"Alright- it's like this." Roxas summoned Oathkeeper into his right hand in a flash of white light. Keyblades are sentient- if they don't agree with you, then you'll have a hard time wielding them." He lectured as he swung Oathkeeper. "You can't be nervous when wielding one- you can say their kinda like animals who can sense you're fear." Man he wasn't good at explaining, hopefully she understood him right. "Do you understand me this far?" He asked hoping he wasn't confusing her.

"Here- trying swinging one of you're keyblades but don't get nervous." He instructed before dismissing Oathkeper. "It's okay if you don't get in the first try though." He encouraged before watching her- waiting for her to try what he instructed.

[Namine]

"Um... okay..." Namine replied, doing as Roxas said. She wasn't afraid or hesitant, really she wasn't... but as usual the blade swung backwards when she reached for the hilt. She gave a little huff and swung her arm back forward... at which point so did Discord, coming dangerously close to cutting Roxas open with its length. Namine gasped and quickly spouted 'I'm sorry' no less than five times before she noticed what had actually happened and that Roxas was, indeed, unharmed.

"Hey... Maybe they respond to motions? I never really kept them out long enough to tell..." She said, more to herself than Roxas. As a test, she moved her left arm slowly up and down at her side-- pointed AWAY from Roxas and anything that could be damaged further. Sure enough, Harmony followed the arcing motion, though it moved swifter than her arm did. Her blue eyes sparkled with excitement. "Did you see that? It worked! I can keep myself safe now, and not have to make everyone worry about me! I probably still need some actual experience, but this is way better than it was before! Thank you!" Namine exclaimed happily, clasping her only friend in a big hug, the two Keyblades disappearing once more when she did. She didn't give any real thought to it; this was what normal people did, right? They hugged each other when they were happy, she was sure.

((Kinda blah.))

[Roxas]

"Uh... that works too...." He murmured feeling embarrassed as he went on a huge explanation only for it be pointless. 'Way to go Roxas, look like an idiot!' He reprimanded himself as he fought back a embarrassed blush by shear force of will. "That's great Namine! Now all we have to do is get you used to combat!" He grinned though thought about how this would work... He could summon the Samurai Nobodies... But those would be a bit too much for her to handle at her level... 'Well I guess I'll have to make due....' "How about- we spar? It'll give you some experience and give me a work out- I'm rusty anyways..." He spoke grinning sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck before dropping it to his side. "What do you say?"

[Namine]

Namine released Roxas from her hug about as quickly as she'd given it, quickly realizing that he, apparently, didn't like being hugged. Her expression quickly changed to shocked when he suggested they spar. She shook her head violently, blond hair whipping about in a way that would have suggested someone dancing. "No! No no no, I couldn't fight you! I'd never be able to do that. What if I hurt you by mistake, or... or I wasn't good enough and I got hurt? I don't think I could keep up with you yet." She clasped her hands in front of her, shuffling her feet a bit before speaking again.

"Can... can I practice by myself? I think I can get the hang of it, but I don't want to hurt anyone by mistake while I'm doing it. N-not right now! But... when I do, I think I'd rather learn by myself. I couldn't forgive myself if I accidentally hurt you," Namine said, biting her lip nervously. She hated the idea of fighting her only friend, especially when she was only just starting to grasp her own abilities. She offered an apologetic smile to Roxas, brushing some of her pale blond hair behind her ear with a hand. "I'm sorry... I don't think we've ever actually been able to talk like this... I'm not used to it..."

[Roxas]

(Oh geez... this is SO late >.<)

Roxas scratched the back of his head, unsure. "Well..." He looked up at her with a small smile. "If you say so Namine." He really didn't think she could hurt him- even by accident not to be arrogant but she wasn't much of a fighter. A pair of shiny new weapons wouldn't turn her into a one man army. The only reason Roxas knew how to fight was due to Sora- something that he grudgingly thanked the Keyblade master for.

Roxas listened to her next words his his eyes widened a bit in realization. "Yeah... the only time we talked was when I was in that fake twilight town..." He smiled at the memory witch happy that they got to talk about something nice for once. "But I'm glad we can talk now." He rubbed the back of his neck, "Um... so what now?" He began. "What do you want to do?"

[Namine]

"M...me?" Namine asked, surprised. She felt a feeling inside her chest that must have been what normal people would call their heart fluttering (Namine had no idea what to coin whatever the feeling she had was, however) and she turned around rather quickly. Her cheeks felt hot, which she took to be blushing. She could have just been over-reacting, but from what she had overheard the girls of Twilight Town saying, Roxas had just asked her to go on a date. She took a breath to steady herself, thinking for a moment on what she would want to do on a date. She had no idea; it had never occurred to her that someone would ask her on a date like a normal girl. What did people even do on dates? She had no idea.

"I... I don't know... I've never been able to pick where I wanted to go or what I wanted to do before a few days ago... U-um... Y-you pick something, Roxas!" Namine said, letting it come out just a bit quicker than it should have been to sound normal. It was hard to hide excitement when it was the first time you'd ever felt the emotion-- Or at least, she assumed that was what it was she was feeling. Regardless of if that was what she felt or not, she whipped back around and more or less clung to Roxas' right arm, her blue eyes sparkling brightly. She couldn't believe that she was going to go somewhere with her friend and do something like a normal girl her age.

[Roxas]

Roxas was happy, for the first time ever he felt truly happy! His non existent heart swelled with excitement as he tried to contain his glee. However- he was unaware of Namine's current thoughts, seeing this as less of a date and more of hanging out with a very good friend. Yeah... keep on thinking that blondie...

Pulling of a thinking pose (very similar to Sora's) he tried to think of a good place to hang out. The Usual Place? No- He'd think that Hayner, Pence, and Olette would be around. And the last thing he wanted was to explain why he and Namine were in their place... Then a thought struck him!

"I know! He grinned as he stared fully at Namine. "The Clocktower!" That would be a great place to sit and talk! There was no eavesdropping due to the location and the view was awesome! It also held memories of his past experiences too... Of all the friends he shared the clocktower with, he never got to with Namine... A light blush formed on his cheeks at the thought before it disappeared. "We can buy seasalt icecream and just talk and enjoy the view!" He crossed his arms as he nodded.

It was decided then the clocktower it was! Unfolding his arms he pushed out his right arm and in a flare of darkness a corridor or darkness opened up, walking near he it, he turned towards the memory witch, arm extended towards her. "Come on! This way is faster." And with that he waited for her reaction.
