See, they asked me to drop in and give you an update of what all's going on in the world, and who better than me to do it? Eh? You wanted Xigbar? Geeze, you kids and your love for scars. Well, let's get it going, eh?
Of the Month Awards
Is there really anything better than getting recognized for your work? It's always nice to have admirers out there, especially if you're into the arts. And wouldn't you know that you guys fit the bill for that? You role players you... Don't get it, eh? Never you mind; it's not important.
 Member of the Month
Axel (Or NOSAXEL in the chatbox) has won this month's Member of the Month award! Helpful, good about running things by the staff, and an all around nice guy. If you want some help running plots by the staff, poke this guy.
 Canon of the Month
Playing a politician can be tricky without a good knowledge of what all goes on. Larsa, played by Lightning (Chatbox TANGAS), manages to pull it off successfully, as well as keeping in line with the character. Give 'em a round of applause.
 Original Character of the Month
Joshua Fielder is an enjoyable young man with a taste for sweets and a big shy streak. Go give the kid a bag of candy already!
 Couple of the Month
Ventus and Athrun won this month's Couple award. Popular vote says it's a cute couple. Not much else I can comment on with it.
 Thread of the Month

Even if I have no idea what that acronym is supposed to stand for, Lightning Farron fighting a possessed Oerba Yun Fang can't be a bad thing to watch, can it? I'm getting a strong emotional vibe offa this one; might want to take a peek if you're looking for something interesting to peek at.

... And that does it for the Of the Month awards! Still don't get what I'm talking about, huh? Sorry kids, you're gonna be confused in this next section too. Just bear with me. Don't worry, the people who are supposed to be hearing this are hearing it to-- That's right, big guy, I'm talkin' to you out there!
Things to Look Out For
-As of the other day, a few new plot events have opened up. With a lot of the actually armed areas focusing on waging war on the Northern Continent, some bandit gangs have gotten up the bright idea to attack Baron, Banora and Twilight Town. Three heroes are needed for each thread to stop the invaders from causing more damage than was already done from being yanked into another world!
-The new Central Continent comes fully equipped with its own Plague, who has yet to come around for whatever reason. Maybe it has something to do with the Calamity suddenly calling it into existence? Or perhaps just a coincidence? You decide, faithful readers!
-New information will soon be available on the Plagues that may positively benefit the world's freedom fighters. Keep your ears open for it!
-Just a heads up; an update to some of the rules and the ability list are under way. Keep your eyes out for the announcement when it comes.
-The Tournament is now under way! Round one matchups are as follows:- Nel Zelpher v. Vincent Valentine
- Axel v. Hope Esthem
- Angrim v. Faye
- Aqua v. Gungir Clave
- Akira Valice v. Lenneth
- Lightning Farron v. Oerba Yun Fang
The sooner your battles get under way, the sooner you can win your prizes!
-You may have noticed a change to the Calamity's Core area of the board. The area is now a dungeon beginning with the Northern Crater and descending through the levels in order. Travel beyond Zanarkand is currently impossible.
All right, all right, I know that was boring, but it had to be done. Now for some updates about things that affect you guys! ... Tch, no, it DOES relate to you.
In the Distorted World
-Rumor has it that the war with Archades and Cocoon is about to explode even more violently than before. Refugees are fleeing to the neutral land of Esthar in transit to a safer location to avoid the violence.
-President Laguna Loire of Esthar has been in letter contact with both Primarch Raines of Cocoon and Emperor Larsa of Archades. Rumor says that both are trying to win Esthar's allegiance and get it to end its neutrality.
-Rumors of a newly discovered area in the distorted world are spreading like wildfire. Supposedly, the continent is peaceful and blissfully unaware of the situation.
-A lack of leadership has lead bandits to attack the cities and villages of Baron, Banora and Twilight Town. The outcome of these events have yet to be heard of...
-Rumors are escalating about a group of black-cloaked figures appearing intermittently in the distorted world. Just who could these figures be, and what could they be planning?
-Statements from Midgar's SOLDIER department claim that leadership is practically non-existent at the current time. However, the troops are well aware of the consequences of deserting, and nearly all have chosen to maintain their posts in the city until they are able to properly organize.
-The city of Midgar has issued a public statement that any attempts to attack the city or any of its outlying claims will be dealt with severely.
-The city of Alexandria is continuing reconstruction underneath the leadership of Queen Garnet. However, some citizens have stated that the queen has been acting a bit strangely as of late, though they are unable to put their finger on the problem.
-A meeting seems to have been scheduled between Queen Garnet of Alexandria and Emperor Larsa of Archades. Security has been notified, and city security has stated to do their utmost to protect the royalty coming to their city.
-Rumors of an angel in the Gran Pulse area have surfaced recently, and several people have attempted to meet with this supposed angel to no avail. Whether he exists or not is yet to be seen.
