Chapter One: Claiming Excalipur
----------
The mist was thick, much thicker then usual. The large man swung his head back and forth. There was a reason to it, he just couldn't remember it. Think think think... The mightiest of all swordsmen thought to himself as he scratched his head with one of his large gray hands. He thought he knew the reason. Maybe he didn't... Oh well.
Without really caring about the so called 'dangers' of the mist he proudly marched forward. One foot in front of another. Until he saw her. She was a woman of pure beauty. She seemed to float through the air, her long pure white robe flowing behind her. Her fair blonde hair seemed to blend into her garb, giving her a simple yet elegant feel. The man's jaw dropped.
Her eyes turned to face Gilgamesh. She stared down upon him in a imperious sort of way, and the mighty warrior couldn't help but feel humbled by her presence. Even he felt weak in front of her. She examined the six armed man, wondering if he would be of any use to her. Perhaps he would... she mused to herself.<< Do you not fear oblivion? >>
The voice crept into the back of Gilgamesh's mind. His eyes widened in shock, never before had he experienced something like this. Her voice held power behind it, power that Gilgamesh craved for. The mightiest of all warriors took a single yet dramatic step forward. One of his hands rose up as he clenched it into a fist. "WHAT IS YOUR NAME, VILEST OF WOMEN?!" Gilgamesh commanded. She was powerful, which meant she had powerful items. And Gilgamesh was looking for a specific powerful item, Excalipur. Yet the Goddess was taken aback. No one had dared talk to her in such a fashion before. She found it oddly amusing, and infuriating at the same time.<< FOOLISH HUMAN, DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU SPEAK TO?" >>
She waved her arm in front of her as one swings a sword. The fury in her voice was unmatched, but Gilgamesh only seemed to grow happier. "OH! I am perhaps the silliest of all swordsmen!" Gilgamesh roared to himself in laughter as he slapped his knee. The Goddess's eyes narrowed in anger, he was no longer amusing. "Never before have I entertained the thought of my dear Excalipur taking the form of a hume! Let alone a female hume!" Gilgamesh continued on, signing his own death warrant.<< No! You are foolish even for a disgusting hume! I am the Calamity! The one true Goddess! The Harbinger of Oblivion! All within this world is my play thing! >>
Her threats were only met with laughter. "Oh-hohoho! Calamity? What a ridiculous name, surely no self respecting goddess would call themselves that! You are clearly Excalipur, do not lie to me Ms. Excalipur, for I know the truth!" The man proudly said, only sending the Calamity into a deeper rage. Then she decided to stop playing with this new toy, and break it instead. She simply wished for Gilgamesh's death and the mist around her stirred to life. The magic powered fog simply existed to please it's mistress, so it lurched forward, lancing towards Gilgamesh.
With a loud boom the mist crashed into the mightiest of all swordsmen. A twisted little smile spread on oblivion's face, he didn't even see it coming. The Goddess watched with glee as the mist dissipated, oh how she loved seeing dead bodies. Especially when she made them. Instead of seeing the managed dead body of an annoying gray man, the Calamity saw Gilgamesh standing proudly. Although blood was freely flowing down his entire body. "That was a decent test Excalipur! But it was only a flesh wound!"
Her jaw dropped. The Calmamity couldn't believe that someone survived, and was still standing! She condemened him to oblivion! She roar in fury and thrust her arms forward. The mist surged forward, aiming to destroy the pathetic man that dared to anger it's master. Gilgamesh instead launched himself high into the air. All of his six arms dived into his scarlet red cloak and he withdrew all six of his not-so-legendary weapons. This was a true test, and he would not take it lightly.
The mighty warrior came hurtling down upon Calamity. But not in any graceful manner. It was more of a crash. The man's body slammed into the Goddess sending her spiraling to the ground, all six of his flailing arms managed to miss the Calamity. She fumed with rage. How dare he touch her! She stood up, her once pristine dress was covered in dirt and mud. "DIE!" The Goddess commanded in her true voice. The command was irresistible. Gilgamesh began to choke and hack, his swords fell to the ground as he grasped at his neck, struggling for air.
A wicked smile formed on oblivion's lips. He was finally gone. Gilgamesh's hands suddenly dropped to his side, and the chocking sounds dissipated. "Nah, I'm fine. Could you imagine if that happened?" Gilgamesh jokingly said, waving one of his hands dismissively.
Thats when the Calamity gave up. If she couldn't beat him, then she would join him. She willed herself into the form of a sword, and within seconds the Goddess was a beautiful sword crafted of the finest metals. Gilgamesh charged forward and picked up the sword. He closely examined it, from the tip of the blade to the pommel. After a few minutes of exhausting examination he threw the sword over his shoulders. "Wow, that sword is a total piece of s---." The man said as he began to walk away. Leaving Calamity alone with her tears.
