MISSIONS; How do they work?

WELL, WELCOME EVERYONE, TO THE QUESTS AND MISSIONS BOARD, ON BEHALF OF LAGUNA AND MYSELF.

This section is mostly his jurisdiction, but I want to kick things off by explaining how things work around here. Shall we?

PART ONE
WHAT ARE QUESTS/MISSIONS?

Quests and missions are "jobs" your characters may undertake both to advance the plot and to earn yourself hefty rewards, not to mention a shiny new rank in the Guild! They range in difficulty from E all the way up to S. Staff members may post a quest here that they want undertaken, or - and this is the cool part - you can pitch an idea to them, get it approved, and do your own quest based on your own idea! Awesome, right? They can be done solo, co-op, or with as many as six people depending on the mission. Make sure to check back here early and often to net the newest and best mission!

PART TWO
HOW DO QUESTS/MISSIONS WORK?

As I've said, you have the choice of either taking a pre-posted mission or creating your own. Regardless of which, though, generally the same procedure is followed.

An informational thread describing the quest (it will look like an ad or a flyer, because it's a sales pitch - you want people to take on the job!) will be posted in this board, either by a staff member or a member - but the member has to check things out with the staff first so the rewards are properly balanced for the difficulty of the quest. c: If you're able to do this mission - you fit the level requirement, the member group, all of the criteria that might be set - you can sign up by replying to that thread expressing your interest. It's first come first serve, so be sure to check it often!

Depending on what the mission is, who posted it and who is apart of it (it may be a group requiring a squad leader, for example) the thread will be "led" by one person in particular, and will take place in one of the five IC boards - the four continents, or the Core. The goal is to finish your quest!

Once it's been finished, it may be required that you contact a staff member so they can go about giving the rewards. For the most part, though, these are member-led, because we want you to have a direct hand in the plot of Calamity's Cry. Along with your bounty for completing the quest, you will earn a set amount of points for the type of mission you just completed. There might be benefits along the way for achieving a high rank in the Quests Guild, so work for those points!

PART THREE
WHEN SHOULD I DO A QUEST/MISSION?

Anytime you're looking for a few extra Gil or LP, a shiny new item, or just to get more involved! Of course, there will be a reasonable limit on the number of quests you can do at one time - just one mission, hehe. We don't want anyone monopolizing the Guild, after all! But rest assured with that limit that there will be enough quests to go around for everyone. We aim to have one available whenever anyone's poking around looking for one, so really anytime you want to is a good time!
