As you may have noticed, you earn a certain number of points for every quest completed. The more quests you complete, the more of these points you will accumulate. These points are directly tied with your Quest Rank; if a quest has a required minimum rank, you will not be able to undertake that quest until you reach the minimum rank. The system is elaborated below. The rewards give you an idea of what you would be rewarded for completing a mission of that rank.
RANK E: Initiate
--> All characters start out with this mission rank. It is the lowest rank, with quests ranging between 100-500 Gil rewards for completion. Alternately, they may offer first-tier healing items and airship tickets upon completion.
RANK D: Trainee
--> Upon gathering ten Quest Points, you reach the Trainee rank. Rewards for quest allow between 500-1,000 Gil in rewards, and may offer an item reward in addition.
RANK C: Knight
--> At thirty points, you become a Knight. Rewards for quests can reach between 1,000 and 2,500 Gil or a single non-purchase shop item. Alternately, they may offer a bundle of low-tier and middle-tier healing items and two airship tickets.
RANK B: Paladin
--> At fifty points, a character becomes a Paladin. Questing rewards can be in the range of 2,500-4,000 Gil and one non-purchase item, or a bundle of low- and middle-tier healing items and one non-purchase item. Alternate prizes include airship tickets and a high-tier healing item pack.
