A lone dark portal opened up in a small rose garden in Alexandria. And out from that portal stepped the the slate haired teen known as Zexion he was number six of the organization XIII. As he stepped out from the darkness he stumbled for wards and feel to his knees with his right hand resting on the ground next to his knee. Re-gaining his balance he straighten himself back up and looked around he hated showing any sign of weakness.
Not trusting himself to walk at the moment he remained in the same spot and closed his eyes. A million thoughts were running through his head at the moment. All of them were about the organization. Since arriving in these twisted worlds Zexion had began to do what he believed in try and again back kingdom hearts to re-gain his heart. But as he traveled along he came to understand a few things none of the other members he met shared the same goal.
Zexion was coming to understand that he was in fact alone on this mission and that no one wanted to go back to their old lives. Should he do the same. Should I find a new goal for myself, is there something in these worlds for me besides what I once knew. These very thoughts were causing stress and problems for him. It seemed that he had lost the one thing that had given him purpose in life. He took a few steps forward and with each one he could feel himself swaying a little. Ever since these thoughts had started to plague his head the memories he had of emotions had started to flood his mind more and more.
Now Zexion hadn't come to the rose garden for no reason in fact. It was in this very garden he had arranged for a meeting between him Larxene and Marluxia to discuss a few things. His bright blue eyes looked around at all the black withered roses it was in this place that Zexion felt he might just get some answers to his questions and thoughts maybe he would find a place for himself. Just as Zexion was about to sit down on a small bench a strange scent assaulted his nose. It was pure darkness and it wreaked of corruption.
He could feel it around him pure darkness it was almost suffocating. Zexion was just about to open a portal when he heard a women shrieking, something was coming and it was coming for him. The night hide the creature for now and as Zexion stood their his eyes staring dead ahead. What ever it was Zexion knew he couldn't run from and that he may just have to do battle his only hope was that Larxene and Marluxia would show up to help him. Another shreak pierced his ears. "How rude for something to attack while I am alone".

The creature sensed the other and came forth to meet him, a beautiful sorceress within his clutches, and the creatures slowly revealed himself - though his scent was revealed first. The sorceress did not move, nor did his hands, firmly placed around her body. Zalera stared down at Zexion and his eyes would narrow if he held pupils within his skeletal face.
"Zexion, the Cloaked Schemer." He hissed, ignoring his original words. "Can you face an opponent alone? Can one with no emotions find it in oneself to survive? I place no trust in this. Find your will to survive, or go back to the darkness from whence you came." His grip tightened on the sorceress, who made no move.
However, he did come closer to him. When he did, the sorceress finally moved, looking down upon her blindfolded eyes at Zexion. "You take interest now, my sorceress?" He said, his voice full of strange amusement. The sorceress said nothing, seemingly to wait for Zexion patiently. It was time to fight.

The creature of darkness that came forth was like nothing he had ever seen before; it reminded him of those images of the grim reaper you see in books. The black wing and head of a skeleton, to some it may cause them to flee in fear. However to Zexion it did nothing of the sorts, bright blue eyes studied the creature with interest for a moment before it spoke to him. "You know my name yet you do not introduce yourself, such rudeness even for a creature such as you . That cold, calculating voice rang clear and proud as if there was nothing to fear in what the creature said. "I do not need your trust, one who rushes into battle so quickly like you do is not one I would want to have trusting me".
Zexion knew there was no escape from this battle, he was alone in this garden and the creature had come from the darkness the very place he too was from. The woman, who seemed to be attached to his arm, looked down at him her blinded folded eyes unseen by the slate haired man. Zexion raised a hand as his lexicon appeared in it, if he had to battle then he would in fact do battle. He had learnt much since his battle with Scara, he had taken what he knew and pushed his skills to try and overcome the weakness he had shown in the last battle. He had even managed to pick up some white magic; it had not come easy to him as he had thought his talents were more for the darker side of magic.
His free hand rose as energy quickly built up in his hand, there was no time to waste when a creature such as this was breathing down your next. The first spell he fired off was indeed a fire spell the rather large fire ball shot from his hand. The raised hand quickly began to gather more energy, however this time he dropped his hand as a lightning bolt came from the sky. There were no clouds or the crackle of the lightning, Zexion worked from the shadows he was a master of staying hidden and in turn he had liked to make sure his spells came unseen also.

Zalera did not say nothing. Zexion was truly a work of art, carved from the shell of his former self. No, he WAS the shell. He would be an interesting person to be with. However..."I am Zalera." The sorceress held no name nor did she speak. Zalera, however, was amused at Zexion. He did not want his power? Then he shall show him...how deadly he could be.
Despite being rushed into battle, Zexion handled it fairly well, summoning his weapon of choice and casting his magiks. If Zalera was hurt, he made no motion of it. However, the sorceress in his grip did. She seemed in pain, possibly angry, but even as her lips parted, no sound left his lips. "Are you in pain, my sorceress? What do you do to those who do you harm?"
Suddenly, the sorceress seemed to be casting something. A sudden fog came over the area as the sorceress continued to cast her spell. Zalera was pleased at this - no more pesky spells for quite awhile. A blue crystal suddenly formed in er hand and it grew bigger within her hands as she placed it on her palms, letting them float, and used energy to thrust the icicle at Zexion.

This beast before him, no it was no longer a beast he had learned its name. This creature of darkness Zalera as it called its self was unlike anything Zexion had ever seen before. Heartless were creatures of the darkness and came in all shapes and sizes, he had seen thousands of them however nothing he had ever seen compared to Zalera. He was almost like a god, almost because a God would not show its self to someone let alone allowed its self to be struck by another’s spells.
The woman bound to his arm, remained as silent as ever so far he liked her more than the other. When he spoke to her it was almost as if he knew no answer would come, yet he spoke to her like she would respond with a yes or no. Zexion didn't know what to expect, to face two opponents at once let alone one seemed to be a mute. As her fog spell moved in it was easy to see there was no escape, it creped over the ground and found its way right to Zexion. The spell worked through his body sealing off his magic, preventing his spells from forming. The creature would be sadly disappointed if it thought Zexion would fall so easily, her spell might hinder him now but it would ware off and all he had to do was wait it out.
His bright blue eyes had never left the woman, which was why he saw her attack coming. Zexion was quick to act; the Lexicon pulsed in his hand as the area around him seemed to change. His own body seemed to pulse once too, if he could not attack with his magic he would simply wait out her fog spell with the perfect defence until he could attack. The ice spell came rushing at Zexion, however he did not rush to move he simply raised his free arm to protect his face. When the spell made contact with his arm, he made a downwards sweeping motion with his arm knocking the residue of the spell away from him. "You may silence my magic, but do not think I am done for" his cold eyes landed back onto Zalera, he was ready for the others next move.

Neither person was surprised to see Zexion defend against her sudden black magik. The sorceress turned briefly to Zalera after Zexion had spoken. They knew of what Zexion they needed; they were sure Zexion could survive but without his magical capabilities, unable to attack them. Zalera made no emotion when he turned to his sorceress.
It was clear what she wanted and who was he to defy her? Zalera would never let her go; not for Zexion, not for anyone else. A small spark of green came from her nimble fingers as a sort of sign was produced from the sorceress. A soothing spell fell over Zexion, clearing away the status effect she had just placed on him. What could be the reasoning behind it?
"She is too kind. She wishes to only express her powers." The sorceress didn't attack right away, but she did not use black magik again. A vile purple came forth from her hands as she summoned it into a ball, encasing it in green. With a quick flick of her wrists, the ball came hurling towards Zexion, splashing him and the ground around him.
The count down truly started.

The small spark of green flickered between her finger tips, it was instant that moment she cast her spell Zexion felt its effects. However at a surprise to the slate haired youth it was not a spell to hinder him, the spell she cast removed the silence spell she had cast on him before. His magic began to course through him again, no longered was his magic unable to be used. "Showing off on the battle field, how childish of you both". However it seemed that ge shamness wasn't done just yet, her slender fingers began to work on another spell just as quickly. The purple sludge began to form between her fingers, before forming a ball of toxic ooze.
He kept his defences up as the spell came for him, he could tell the spell was not black magic however he wasn't sure just how strong the toxic spell was. The slim made contact with him, quickly working its way into his system. When he felt no pain on the strike he straight away knew it was another spell to hinder him, a spell to make him waste his time getting ride of it. He placed his free hand against his chest, a small white glow ebbed around his hand before it vanished into his body. The light nulified the toxic within him, removing it from his system and making sure he was free of the poison for now. Now that it was his turn, he removed the defences for for he could easily through them back up if need be.
The hand that had just cast his white magic spell, qyuickly began to form another spell. A small blue and white ball formed in his palm, Zexion thrust his hand out infront of him sending the magic spell flying at Zalera. The spell would not make contact with him but the ground underneath him, when it did three rather large ice spikes shor forth from the ground one pointing straight up while the other two leant to either side.

Zexion seemed as surprised as he was when his sorceress' kindness was revealed. He couldn't hide his surprise even if it wasn't written all over his face; Zalera held a certain connection with Zexion, even if he wasn't his as of yet. However, his words seemed to amuse Zalera, even if his expression was never changing, impossible with one with a skull face as his.
"We show off as a preview for our powers should our power belong to you."" Zalera spoke once more as his sorceress summoned her spell. Zexion was proving more itneresting as the battle went on; both sorceress and Zalera wanted to know how much more Zexion knew as he cured himself of the spell she had just inflicted.
The spell came to them, though, Zalera did not flinch at the pre-emptive spell nor the actual spell, but the sorceress did. She swayed as if she was in pain. Her finger tips glew a reddish color as a giant red ball, with stripes upon it, covered Zalera and the sorceress. The spell was gone, but its effects were still there; Zexion may recognize the spell.

So it was all a test to see if he was worthy to be their master, such an entity wished to serve a Nobody is was rather odd. However Zexion what question him or his shamaness right now, he could save his questions for later. Bright blue eyes watched her, her hand moved as she enchanted them with her own spell. He was not surprised they would cast a spell like that; Zexion relied on magic in battle so of course boosting their defence to magic was the perfect plan. As he studied the area around them he needed something to perhaps through them off, nothing to major just force them to up their game a little. He wanted to see just what they could do; he had no intention of losing here so if they were going to serve him then they had better be of use.
Gloved fingers moved along the spine of his Lexicon, adjusting himself to always be ready to move in case an attack came his way. Suddenly like some gear switch in his head flicked he had an idea, he would use the trick Scara had used on him during their battle. With his free hand he clicked his fingers together, the magic that had built up came to life and the ground below the floating Angel of darkness began to crack and shake. Of course it would not harm them or even hit them in anyway; it was the next spell he was already beginning to cast that would be the main event. Below the surface of the ground his spell began to take form, the water building up between the earths until the right moment.
Then once it had gathered all the strength it needed to spell shot forth, it was like watching a gazer. The water shot from the ground, quickly rushing up into the sky blasting anything it its way. A small smirk tugged at his lips, let it be known that Zexion turned everything into a learning experience. Even his battle with the small child he had once tainted had taught him about battle; it seemed that even defeat could hold promise of knowledge.

It seemed like the nobody finally got it. For someone so bright, he certainly missed the key concept until now. Zalera would not give indication when the battle would end; the Cloaked Schemer would be sharp if he acted as if the battle would end soon. The Shamaness also gave no indication, though if she could give much emotion of any type was still up in the air.
They were not there to continue to slaughter him with magik spells but they could scare him, continually boosting defenses and, now, magical attack power. Zexion knew what they knew - an arsenal of Black Magik as well as Green Magik. Even if he did not know the words, he knew that they were capable of doing much damage as well as status effects plus boosting and negating what they want.
They were surprised, though both shamaness and Zalera seemed unfazed. Perhaps he learned that move from someone else? Nevertheless, the Shamanes starting to cast once more, no words being exchanged from Nobody to himself. However, nothing seemed to happen as her spell seemed to disappear. Suddenly the air grew slightly heavier on Zalera's side.
Though he could not feel it, Zexion certainly could smell it; the pure darkness that was being gathered by Zalera. It was gaining something powerful, and for Zexion's logic, if he was showing off a defensive move and following it by increasing his attack, Zexion could only assume Zalera was going to pull something off that was very powerful and he should react to it.
Of course. Zalera already knew his assumptions.

Zexion had become strangely interested in Zalera, his scent of pure darkness and if he wasn't mistaken there was a slight hint decay and corruption almost like death. It was things like that they drove the slate haired nobody forward, a creature with power like that on his side would surely be of use and he could of course study it closer. There was no shock on his spells did not faze the creature, he had seen many a powerful creature take a hit but the fact remained he was still doing damage. The nobody had already made sense of what Zalera said when he first appeared, he spoke of survival more so if Zexion himself could survive. It was simple to see that the point was not for him to slay the beat; no in fact he needed to survive for how long he did not know that was the only problem.
The woman began to cast another spell, the magic left her finger tips only to wrap around them. Bright blue eyes watched everything took in everything; he was always studying his opponent. It was what separated him from most other members, those who would rush in and assume they could simply over power their opponent it was almost laughable. The duo of darkness were getting ready to release something, an attack that was sure to cause some devastation and just to make sure they were boosting their power. One more attack before he started on his defence, he needed to keep attacking to distract them and maybe even force them into a more defence tactic.
Winds whispered between gloved finger tips, a wind spell it was the last of the elements he knew. A ball of gale winds quickly formed in his hand before firing off towards the woman and her master, the ball was small and compact but on contact with its target the winds would expand. He had casted each element at least once on the creature, just to see if there was something that could through him an element that might affect him more than others. Of course he wasn't surprised when none did more than the rest, the only thing that could affect the darkness was the light and Zexion had not mastered a spell like that yet.
The lexicon pulsed twice in Zexion's hand, his defences from before set up again. Then just to make sure he could survive anything Zalera could throw at him, a simple white magic spell left his fingertips a pale light gentle glided around his body as small sparkles of the light drifted onto his skin. Healing the small wounds he had suffered, he was ready to take a hit now more than ever.

Even a bright man like Zexion didn't figure out his words until now. But...he'll make Zexion think that he had a time limit...the opposite, of course. Not a Time limit of how long he needed to survive for...but a time limit of how long he will need to defeat Zalera for. For now, he waited. Change his mind. Make him think that he over thought something...make him think he's wrong.
The ball of air hit them both, causing Zalera to stumble slightly. The blast was strong...and perhaps Zexion could defeat him. But it was time to make him question. The shamaness's magic changed then. Not longer was there magic around her fingertips but now there was darkness that seeped around her. The ground started to glow red as a door presented itself.
However, it would be behind of Zexion rather than in front. The door opened to reveal a cloaked but obviously skeletal figure, much like Zalera, holding a scythe. However, this creature wouldn't take the life of Zexion...yet. It's red eyes stared into Zexion, at the back of the head or not, but the creature withdrew itself, but not before imprinting a number into his head.

The reaper came out of nowhere, the spell to say the least came as a shock to the slate haired nobody. He had been expecting some sort of attack, a spell of devastating power that was sure to leave him weak and in need for some first aid. However instead he had received this, bright blue eyes narrowed at the creature before him. Zalera was mocking him in some way, almost like he knew just what to do to push Zexion into a corner. The Nobody could feel the spell working its way through his system, attaching to him in every way so when the counter reaches Zero it could pull him back into the depths of darkness.
So now he had a time limit on his life in this battle, things would need to be done quicker with very little time to beat around the bush about anything. In an instant the defences he had brought up were dropped, his strength and energy would have to be used now for damage. Zexion held his right hand out in front of him, clicking his fingers sparks flickered between his fingers. A single lightning bolt shot down from above, there may have only been one but the sheer strength of this bolt was that of a high level spell. To follow up his thunder spell he opened his fingers, a fire ball formed in the palm of his hand that to was fired off towards Zalera.
He had come to respect Zalera during this battle, the way he cast his spells to make him believe the opposite of what he was doing. Zalera was a schemer all of his own, it was rather amusing that such a creature wished to serve the Cloaked Schemer.

Zexion was growing desperate. Fitting for a human...even though he was a Nobody. He may not have the emotions of a human, but he had the drive of one. An instinct only they could provide; a desperation that takes them beyond their limits or, perhaps, giving it all they got. There was no need to have strategy for this; it was just hit hard and conquer.
Zexion was hitting him with everything he had, trying to make Zalera crumble before his feet. But it wouldn't happen. Zalera was still strong. He looked at his shamaness, hesitating to let her go, but a hand freed itself from her waist, but the other clinging on tighter, though she did not even so much as flinch. Darkness came from Zalera's hand, as if indicating to Zexion that since now he's attacking, something serious was going to happen.
The darkness grew thicker as it swirled around his arm, growing larger as Zalera raised his hand towards Zexion. Then the countdown ceased. "Your time is up." The shamaness spoke, a strangely beautiful but ominous tone as the countdown suddenly reverted to...zero. The darkness increasing suddenly, flaring up as it surrounded Zaler and the shameness.
"You have passed. You survived, shown me your diversity of magiks, thus you have completed your task. I am yours to command, master."

As the darkness built up around Zalera, Zexion could only watch for the time being. There was no point in taking action when he had no idea what was coming next; every time he had tried to plan ahead the Scion of Darkness just seemed to change his plan. The numbers above his head vanished, but not before the shamaness spoke her voice was alluring and gentle nothing like that of Zalera's own voice. But yet there was no pain or death followed by those actions, there was nothing at all it seemed that everything had just come to an end.
The creature before him became surrounded by darkness, a feeling he also knew all too well. Then that chilling voice spoke out, it did not demand more battle or mock him instead it congratulated him on completing the task. Zexion was not impressed at all; the whole last of the battle had been nothing but a waste of time as he now saw it. The Doom spell meant nothing and had been a waste of energy, powering up had been nothing but a ploy. Zalera was an interesting being to have on his side, one he would surly come to use when the time was right.
The lexicon vanished from his hand, leaving no trace that it was ever there. His now free hand swiped across the empty space before him, a portal of darkness opening quickly. He had wasted enough time in this garden, the battle had been interesting and now he had some power in his corner. The young slate haired nobody stepped into the portal, the darkness quickly covering him as it took him far away from this place.
