"Yo. This you need Michael?" "It's Migelo. Yes it is! Thanks a lot." Akira shrugged as the strange fellow left to his item shop. 'Guess it's back to the Sandsea...how'd Scara get me into this...?' Akira thought, shaking her head. It wasn't like her but Scara ordered her to help Rabanastre out. The orphans hadn't been helping lately so everywhere needed help.
Scara herself was out doing errands along with her weird cast of animals. 'She starting a freaking zoo?' Akira thought as she walked her way to the Sandsea, the local pub of Rabanastre. When she got there, she wasn't expecting a bar fight to be happening. Though, she ignored it and walked up to the board to see if there were any new hunts.
Of course, her ill luck was that she happened to be pretty enough, and the only women sadly in the pub at that time it seemed, for the men brawling instantly noticed her. Akira wasn't in a very good mood so one snide remark was all that was needed. Both men were flung onto tables, snapping the tables in half, and sent them flying a bit more.
She patted her hands and sighed. Seriously. Why did they always pick fights with her? Was she wearing a 'hey, fight me' sign on her? Akira was tempted to look around herself for the said sign, but she caught the glare of the bar keep. Well. She DID break up the fight but did it quite violently...and out the door she went. Now what was she going to do?
And god dammit where the hell was Rynn?

The Resistance always needed new members. But you cant just pick up anyone person off the streets. You had to find the nice guy. The kind of person that would help anyone. No matter who they are. The kind of person that would help orphans. So naturally when Amalia was making her daily purchases at Migelo's sundries and the man told her of this odd woman who was helping the orphans, the leader of the Resistance couldn't help but feel excited. Finally! A worthy new member!
She thought to herself. Migelo was even kind enough to inform her that this so called Akira was running a task to the Sandsea. In excitement the woman practically ran to the bar. But much to her disappointment all she found was the remnants of a bar fight. Amalia instantly engaged in a conversation with Tomaj, the tavern owner. It seemed that Akira was just kicked out for breaking up the fight. It may not have been the best way, but it seemed like both men wouldn't be fighting any time soon. Furthermore it alluded to Akira's combat abilities, and Amalia desperately needed strong fighters.
The Resistance Leader quickly exited the bar, in a attempt to catch up with Akira. It seemed like she just left. It didn't take long for Amalia to find the pal woman, she stood out like a sore thumb in the desert worn city. "Excuse me, but are you Akira?" Amalia asked as she ran up to the woman. Oh how she hoped, h ow she prayed that this was the right person.

At hearing someone call out to her, she turned to face the Dalmascan Princess. Great. Someone ELSE who knew her name. Honestly, whenever she was around with Scara, it seemed she would be as popular as Scara. "Yeah. You need something? I'm bored anyways." Akira said, shrugging. Her appearance wasn't familiar to her but something about her was...off.
Not off in a way of fake...it was more...Akira couldn't put her finger on it. Oh well. She hoped it wasn't anything too well, time consuming. Scara and Rynn weren't exactly very far off...though possibly caught in their own errands. Speaking of company...where were her snakes? She wouldn't call them out for good reason; snakes weren't exactly welcome...ever.
Especially strangely colored ones like Cleo and Vipe. However, she felt something in the ground brush her shoe. She at least knew where her snakes were. Were they scared of this Amalia person? Speaking of names. "Guess I should know your name too, right? Seeing how you know mines'n all." Akira said, shrugging.

This woman seemed interesting to say the least. Amalia could tell with one look that Akira was right for the Resistance. She seemed bold, strong, a person with a strong and demanding personality. Although the Resistance Leader would never admit it she had been torn over the course of the Resistance since Captain Vossler's disappearance. Amalia herself lusted for power, for the strength to crush Archadia beneath her feat to satisfy her vengeance. Yet another part was disgusted by it. It told her that Archadia was her friend, that power was not the answer.
It didn't make any sense, and Amalia was torn. So that's why she needed someone like Akira. She needed more then just a gentle nudge to go in the right direction. Although it didn't help if her recruit didn't even know her name. "I apologize for my rudeness, I am Amalia. A local resident of Rabanastre." The Captain of the Resistance answered, keeping her status as the rebel leader quiet. She didn't want to say anything without knowing which side that Akira fell in.
"I just wanted to thank you for all your kind efforts regarding the orphans." She went on, probably more proud of Akira's actions then Akira was of her own. "You see most of them lost their parents to the war with Archadia, and now they are under the care of Migelo." Amalia finished. Hoping that the other female would continue on the conversation. If not she might have to get a little drastic.

Why does she give off the air of a leader of some sort? 'Crap, did I just walk into the line of a recruitment center?' Akira mused in her head. Great. Last time she was doing good deeds ever. Why did the name sound fake yet she didn't seem like she was lying? The scent around Amalia was confusing, even to her. Why did she even care?
"Amalia, huh?" Akira said, testing the name. She felt like she had to put effort into remembering it. Akira would have released a 'huh' at Amalia, but her thanks made sense. Of course you'd say thank you to someone who helped a fellow Rabanstran...or, rather, Dalmascan. It would be strange for her not to thank Akira.
"T'was nothin'." Migelo? Right, the fat blue big. However, that part wasn't what got her. She was helping orphans, huh? The war be damned, orphans...it reminded her of herself and Scara. War wasn't the cause, but the fact they were orphans held a special place in some part of her heart. With her silence, Amalia could draw into the conclusion Akira was against the war.
"Huh...kinda young to be losin' parents. War recruit their parents young, then?" If these kids were orphans...their parents, unless they married late, would be under their 30s. It felt strange to her. It was as if SHE went off to war. That also left a bad taste in her mouth. "Don't like the war, yeah? Gunna do somethin' 'bout it?"
Akira noticed, with mild irritation, that her accent was coming out.

Akira seemed like an interesting person. She had rather pale skin, which was rather disturbing to the well tanned Dalmasca. Never before had she seen skin that was so pale. And something seemed to be off, like an beast lurking beneath human flesh. Amalia shook her head. Akira still seemed like a good person overall, maybe perfect for her cause. "I wish to end this war," She simply stated. "Before the war was a plague. The war took care of most that didn't die in that." Amalia explained, hopefully describing the situation to Akira.
That's when the man came running through on the chocobo. His eyes were lined with dark circles, the chocobo he rode panted with exhaustion. It was obvious that they both have been riding all night. "Esthar is destroyed! Blow up it was!" He cried out. A wave of shock engulfed the citizens around, and the man repeated himself again. "Something blew up Esthar! The Cocoon and Archadia signed a temporary peace treaty!" He finished, and soon people began to ramble on about the news spreading it across town like wild fire.
"Perhaps now is an ill suited time for war." Amalia said, turning back to Akira. With the cease fire between the two nations, and more importantly the destruction of Esthar, most of Amalia's plans were ruined. If she attacked Archades while it was aiding a nation in need then she would bring shame to herself, the Resistance, and all of Dalmasca. Most importantly Archades would be fortifying it's defenses, it would be impossible to strike at the nation. Which meant the Resistance had to go underground once again. "I believe I may have to go soon," Amalia stated without moving, the destruction of Esthar was troubling.
She heard of such destruction only once before, in a city known as Nabudis. Her lovers home. Her mind fell into turmoil again, maybe war was the wrong answer. It only brought death to both sides. "Do you know a way I may arrange a meeting with Lord Larsa?" Amalia bluntly asked, for now she was entertaining the thought of a peaceful discussion and for the first time in month's her mind set was slipping into that of Queen Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca instead of the Resistance Leader's.

Ahh. Yeah. That answer should've been obvious. A plague? That didn't sound good. So...people were dying and then after the plague people went dying more because a war started? Typical politics. Actually, that would play again as soon as the guy went screaming but her blood went cold. Esthar be damned, but didn't Scara mention an Uncle Laguna?
...President of Esthar? Amalia seemed too cool. Akira narrowed her eyes, almost in criticism but said nothing. Perhaps...she held plans within plans. But hell, Akira didn't care. More importantly...'dammit, Scara probably is speeding away as we speak...need to get to Rynn.' How fortunate, Amalia said she had to go soon. "Well I gotta go now. Gotta friend and she just took off."
Lord Larsa? "The kid, yeah? Uh...yeah, I got some connections. Ain't my own, though. My friend, see? Apparently, though I ain't surprised, made a friend of him. Then she hired a bodyguard to protect her while she stayed within the castle itself. Could get 'er, but I'unno how long it'll take. See, Esthar's kinda big for her. She'll...be devastated."
Akira thought about it more. She knew anything else? "Waltz in the castle? Seems like everyone does that nowa--shit, no that ain't gunna work. Hey, for entertaining me, gotta warnin' for ya. Some Queen died in Archades...and they ain't happy about it. Either side. From some...Alexia. Alerferanda. Something', alright? But yeah, kid's gotta plate he can't chew right now."
At least war was off his shoulders. "We done? she's riding on a huge ass dragon so it's going to take some time to catch up." Yes, Akira was blunt.

For someone who had to go, she sure had a lot to say. But Amalia took a great interest in it. This Akira, she was a person to watch. She was a person that Amalia needed. Yet she didn't dare to take Akira from her current mission, it was to important to the woman. Well, at least it seemed like her charge was. So for now, Amalia would not hold her for long. The Resistance Leader wanted to leave her with a few words, words that would hopefully convince Akira to aid her cause. Even in a minor way.
"Very well, I will not hold you any longer." the woman said with a simple nod, respecting Akira's own needs. The Resistance Leader wanted to say so much more, yet time was not on her side. "I pray that your that your journey proves successful." Amalia went on, she truly wished the best for Esthar. After all she fought for freedom and what she believed was right in the word. Although it was a shame that she was using the destruction of Esthar to set up plans of her own. It made her feel dirty, and ashamed of herself. So ashamed, but she had to do something and at least these plans avoided violence.
Unless she was to be murdered by Archadia. They already took the life of a Queen, why not hers? Amalia shook her head. No, peace was always an option. She would risk her own life for the chance. It was a strange thought for the Resistance Leader, who had turned to violence for so many years now. It was like something else was telling her to do it. "Please, if it is not to much trouble could you arrange a meeting between myself and your charge? Even though the dangers are great, I wish to avoid another conflict with the Imperial State." Amalia finally said after leaving the chaos that was her mind.
With that Amalia was done. Her next few words were only a polite good bye, before the Resistance Leader herself took her leave. She had a lot to think on. The death of Alexandria's Queen was news to her, but the destruction of Esthar rang in her head. Maybe she would send a few of the Resistance members to aid with the recovery. Maybe it would help cleanse her mouth of the awful taste she got every time she thought of using the city to her own ends.
[OCC: Amalia out. Unless you want to post again this thread is done.]
