Well said Vampire version of myself! Welcome one and all to the festival that honors the fallen, the passed over, or as I call them, the dead. On Gran Pulse in particular, as I'm not sure of anyone else we honor the dead and well, this is the five hundredth year anniversary of the War of Transgression so, Without further Adieu, I will now explain the rules of the events that are to happen within the month!  Scavenger Hunt!
Yep, We're having a scavenger hunt on the site, and to be honest I can't wait for you all to be running around looking for all of the Items and goodies I hid around CC. Anyway, yes. The Scavenger Hunt is an OOC Event in which you all will be able to partake unless of course you are a Staff member. Which then you may not partake in this half of the event. All around the site, in new threads, old threads, boards and more are little items that you need to collect and find and post in a list (whose template is posted below)! Anyway Down to the rules and Technicalities of this event.
- First off, NO CHEATING that means, telling others where items are, and how to find them. If you are suspected of, or proof is shown to me that you are showing or telling others where the items are on the site your list and the other persons will be invalidated.
- Secondly, there is to be no whining, crying, pouting etc. It's just a game guys, and guess what you'll have another chance next year!
- Thirdly You MUST use the template provided below to submit your list. If you fail to use the template, your list will not be looked at.
- To show us proof that you infact DID find it. You MUST Provide us with a screenshot of you finding the object. I don't want people to say they found something but really did not.
- Have Fun! Honestly, the work that was put into this event was a ton. So, I want all of you to have fun doing this scavenger hunt!

1st Place:

- Mysterious Arcana x 1 - Allows your Arbiter to learn another Ability. You do not lose this item on use
- Mysterious Halcyon x 1 - Allows your Arbiter to learn another signature sub-ability. You do not lose this item on use.
- Crest x 1 - When equipped, multiply every Passive stat boost by 2. Must be Level 7 to equip. You do not lose this item on use.
- Chocobo Flute x 1 - A magical flute that will allow you to summon a chocobo whenever you'd like. And No worries if you chocobo gets injured, you wont be left high and dry! You can summon another after three posts on your feet!
- Pure Gold x 1 - Allows a/another custom, unique, or non-shop magic item to be equipped to your character. You do not lose this item on use.
Second Place
- 5,000 Gil
- 50 LP
- Mysterious Arcana x 1 - Allows your Arbiter to learn another Ability. You do not lose this item on use
- Pure Quartz x 1 - Allows your character to gain one signature sub-ability per crystal purchased. Limit of 3 sub-abilities. You do not lose this item on use.
- Pure Amethyst x 1 - Allows a secondary weapon to be equipped. You do not lose this item on use. With a secondary weapon, you may attack double the amount you usually would.
- Pure Topaz x 1 - Allows the LP cost for one ability you are gaining to be skipped. One use per update to Battle Stats. However, you may not use them for any Arcane spell.
Third Place
- 3,000 Gil
- 25 LP
- Phoenix Pinion x 2 - Allows the status 'Reraise' to be bestowed on the user, automatically adding 20 HP when HP falls to 0. Divine Spirit or Chemist raises this amount by 20 HP and can be stacked.
- Pure Topaz x 1 - Allows the LP cost for one ability you are gaining to be skipped. One use per update to Battle Stats. However, you may not use them for any Arcane spell.

Major Prizes! The Headless Horseman's Steed - This cursed steed used to belong to the brother of Odin. Now thousands of years old, this wrathful spirit now is under your control. It seems to keep the cursed skulls and wherever it runs trail green fire behind it. A true steed of a necromancer and artisan of black magic. Just remember to keep a tight hold on those chains!
- Grants the rider with the ability to once per thread teleport out of one area (grants instant escape from any battle). It also raises the evasion rate of it's rider by 40%.
- Black Plague - The spell used by the horseman himself to control this steed. The rider is granted the ability to use this spell once per thread to temporarily control a creature around them, and turn them into an undead ghoul. [Cooldown: Once per thread]
The Headless Horseman's Armor - A demonic set of armor which the corrupted warrior wore himself. This armor is darker than the blackest of nights and seems to conjure fear into anyone who looks upon the wearer. Wherever one steps in this armor, green fire will follow.
- Dark Pact - The wearer of this armor is granted a dark element ability in which when someone takes up this armor you have made a pact with the darkness. Dark Pact allows you to manipulate the shadows around you into your enemies' deepest fears or conjure up horrifying creatures. However this attack does a set amount of damage at 30 HP. [Cooldown: 6 Posts]
The Headless Horseman's Blade - A blade made of the darkest obsidian, this blade though thin holds a sinister secret. It's cuts are exact, and are not meant to do horrid amounts of external damage, instead it's intents are darker and they go straight to the heart. Upon this blade it seems to drip darkness, a poison administered through wounding your opponent.
- Corruption - This green magick is infused with the blade, and with it comes the detrimental effects to the opponent. Upon initially wounding a person with this blade the poison does no damage. However with every post thereafter, damage increases steadily by 5 HP until your opponent is subdued. You also may use this once per thread.
The Headless Horseman's Helm - The missing helm to the headless horseman's set of armor, you must be one heck of an unlucky soul to have found this. Upon wearing this helm your vision becomes distorted and suddenly you see beings and creatures that were never there before.
- Sinister Intent - This grants the user the ability to see the undead and the ghosts that wander about the plains without a way to find peace. Often the vengeful types, perhaps you can use your wit to control a max of three of these vengeful creatures to use with you in battle. They do a set amount of damage of 10 HP, together inflicting 30 HP Max. Use is once per thread.
