It wasn't often that Erik Storm wore a formal suit to...anything. The last time he wore something formal was at his wedding with Anna and that was quite a while ago. He straightened his suit, dusting off the sleeves as he looked forward with a nervous blush. His hair was in its usual ruffled form, he had it tied back in a more carefully organized white bow. He breathed out, shifting from one foot to another as he watched the others dance, He hoped to see Yuna in this crows somewhere. She had been acting particularly distanced from him since they had met Seymour at the Ship's Graveyard. He sighed, how could he have not known that Yuna was married..then again, he did hear that Yuna had forgotten a lot of things since the mist incident."Yuna.."Came the words from his lips and he glanced down."...Be happy.."

[/b] Yuna said and bowed quickly.

As the man nodded and shrugged, she nodded back while still blushing. Okay pay more attention, she thought as she continued. Seeing all these people made her wish that, someone she knew was here also. Sighing, Yuna walked a few steps and saw a familiar face. The very man who had been in her thoughts, along with Seymour, looking down at her feet she felt a bit nervous. Biting down on her nervous feeling, Yuna approached Erik casually.

"Hi Erik." Yuna said as she approached him. Looking down at her boots, she felt joy that she wasn't a complete stranger here. "I'm so sorry I left like I did, I just needed to think." Yuna said and looked up.[/ul]

He was nervous, this was his first time being at a party so..formal. Even Anna and him did not go to Masquerades. He wasn't used to something this formal ever. Still, it would not deter him from having a nice time. His thoughts always went back to Yuna, he was worried for her..ever since they had met the Maester, she avoided him. His eyes furrowed and his lips breathed a sigh, what could he do? He would never get in the way of someone Yuna loved. Maybe that was his problem..he was too concerned and wrapped up on what Seymmour said..the man had confused and upset her, he was angry at him for that. His eyes focused on the ground, but then looked up as he heard a familiar voice call to him.

"Hi Erik."

It was casual, nonetheless soft and sweet. He recognized that voice. He turned, seeing Yuna in her attire, something that made him blush and made his heart slightly skip. "Yuna.."He said, his masculine softness reflected that of her gentleness. He turned completely to her and smiled softly."I'm happy that you're here."He said. "I'm so sorry I left like I did, I just needed to think." He shook his head to her apology, seeing the necklace he had given her around her neck. He slid his arms around her and embraced her close."I'm just happy you came.."He said."I don't ever want to lose our friendship..you've been so kind to me."

[/b] Yuna started. "I'm still confused about what happened with Seymour." Yuna finished as she pulled away from Erik. "What bothers me is the fact that Sin could be coming back. Also why would I be married to him. I think it would make since if it was to bring joy to Spira. Since only joy that was brought, was blitzball. Spira celebrating with the union of a summoner and maester would bring joy. Also a human and half guado not bothered by the barriers of race." Yuna said. "I keep remembering this dream I had of a wedding. I realize it was the wedding we had. I remember emotions of anger, regret, and the want to flee. Also I heard my name being called out by that one person again.." Yuna stated and then turned so her back was facing him. "Thank you for being there for me." Yuna said and looked down, she then felt a tear rolling down her cheek. The same emotions from her dreams she felt, were now hitting her once more. Erik had seen enough tears of hers to last a lifetime, he didn't need to see anymore.[/ul]

Erik warmly accepted the return hug that yuna had for him and stepped back when she did. Seymour was brought up again and Erik looked down, remembering the anger he had felt against the Maester for telling Yuna such things that would upset her. He still felt that anger towards the guado even now. Seymour was not one to be liked by Erik and for good reason, the man was eerie and he seemed like he wanted to control Erik's and Yuna's friendship. He even suggested isolating Spira, vile..He regarded Yuna's safety but her friendship meant more to him than anything too. He could not give up his best friend in the world. He looked up as she turned from him and thanked him. Of course he would be there for her. His hand settled on his heart. She was important to him. Just like...Just like Anna.. He then set a hand on her shoulder, staying quiet for a moment before stepping forward."Yuna..would you..er.."That boyish shyness came to him again. He blushed softly, smiling a little bit."Would you care to dance with me? It'll help you feel better~"

Erik saw Yuna's hand on top of his and he warmly blushed with a small and soft smile. He wanted Yuna to know that she was never alone, no matter what task would lie ahead of her. Erik Storm would always be there to take her hand and go with her. Once she turned to him, his eyes looked softly into hers, his face warm with a blush and went even warmer at her reply. He nodded."You're never alone, Yuna. never.."He said and held his arm around her waist. his other hand slid down from her shoulder and took her hand. He started stepping, making sure he was going at a pace Yuna could follow. He was unaware that a Sending was a type of dance, but he was sure to assist Yuna in any way he could. After all, this was her night and he planned to make it special. He danced with her, making sure to keep his eyes on hers."You've been so kind to me Yuna..you are important and you have a big place in my heart."He said and stepped in a rotation, making sure she could follow.

[/b] Yuna said. "You've been very kind also, sometimes I..." she started and then stopped. Debating on finishing, she realized it was rude to not finish. "Sometimes I feel like I can come to you about anything." Yuna then stopped moving and stepped back from him.

Everything was now hitting her. Emotions from her dreams, confusion about everything going on about everything, her memory loss, and the simple point of a possibility of Sin returning. No, Yuna thought. In fact this was starting to overwhelm her quite a bit. Refusing to look up at Erik, Yuna looked at a window and then at the floor.

"I.." Yuna started, she then started feeling tears rolling out of the corners of her eyes. Her simple motto of always keeping your head high and smiling seemed to be failing. Her words to Erik about him smiling when he was sad, well it was making her look like a hypocrite. Biting back more tears, she wiped a few away.[/ul]

Erik felt his face warm up as Yuna leaned against him. He gave her all the support he could, making sure she was comfortable with their rotation before continuing. He counted the steps in his head even, keeping from stepping on her feet. As the music ended and the people applauded the maestro, Erik noticed that Yuna had moved back. Her words warmed his face more and he blinked lightly. He looked up and saw that she had been looking away from him."..Yuna, is what Seymour said upsetting you?"He asked her, stepping forward and took both of her hands, looking down to her face."Yuna, you shouldn't let that get to you..What he says should not matter, it's your own heart you need to follow."He said and kneeled down so he could look into her eyes."No maester will upset my friend, not while I can help it."He said and placed his hand on the side of her face, a friendly and affectionate gesture."I'm your friend Yuna, and I always will be..you can talk to me about anything."He said.

[/b] Yuna said and nodded her head to reassure herself. She then looked up a bit, but not directly into his eyes. "He is a Maester, he once ruled Spira and helped Spira's people..including me." Yuna said softly. The touch of Erik's hand on her cheek made her let out a quick breath, then followed by a bit of a blush. "Thank you." Yuna said nodding.[/ul]

Seymour's words still hung in his mind, about how he tried tearing Yuna away from him, Maester or not..what Seymour said had distressed Yuna and Erik would not stand to see a friend so conflicted. His hand remained on her blushing cheek, his eyes were gentle."I know Yuna...I'm a little angry at the Maester for saying something that would cause you to distance yourself a bit..but..I guess I could be angry at myself for being so clueless."He said and looked down. He didn't care if other people were around, this was between him and the summoner."You're a good friend Yuna, and I never want to lose you.."He said, looking to meet her eyes."I always want to make you smile, even at the cost of my own happiness, I'm not the best guardian, but I want to be the best friend."
