Hey everybody and welcome to the October Awards post! Even if it is a bit late... I'll take the blame for that ;P
There's not much to add, so without further ado, I present the awards!
MEMBER OF THE MONTH
NOKUSS
A pretty solid vote for him, too! It's an agreement that Nokuss is a wonderful guy both on and off the cbox, always willing to plot and have a nice chat when things are a bit empty due to some members' school and work and life situations. We owe a lot to his social pioneering. Not to mention the fact that his posts are always a treat to read and reply to. All of these things together coined him this month's Member Award! Congrats!
CANON OF THE MONTH
GABRANTH
It's generally regarded as a pretty difficult endeavor to thread with such a complicated character as Gabranth (that is, Noah fon Ronsenberg) because of the way he thinks and acts, but Arzadon (cbox tag) has managed to pull it off with aplomb! His posts are brilliant, and his depth have earned the "muscular damsel in distress" the Canon award for this month. Congrats!
CUSTOM OF THE MONTH
ALBEL NOX
While not technically a canon, the character of Albel happens to be rather ambiguous and fraught with speculations as to why he does what he does. Lady Mikoto (cbox tag) remained true to character while taking this sadistic anti-hero and expanding him into a full-fledged character, managing even to co-win an earlier Couple award; who would have thought? The sheer density of character development and the unique qualities of his posts served to net him the Custom award! Congrats!
PAIRING OF THE MONTH
LIGHTNING x FANG
This pairing has been a long, LONG time coming, and for them there have been too many spanners in the works to count. In the middle of it all was a heaping ton of character development on both sides, leading up to a very human confessionand a big damn kiss. By popular vote, the pairing has achieved this month's Pairing award! Congrats!
THREAD OF THE MONTH
WE CARRY GODDESS DUST UPON OUR SKIN
AS WRITTEN BY ZIDANE, KUJA, MIKOTO
HERE
An engaging thread written in the midst of the September Masquerade event, in which the lov- enem- frien- whatever Zidane and Kuja happen to be are surprised by the stealthy return of the young Mikoto... in the middle of Kuja successfully posing as a woman to confuse Zidane. All in all, good for a few laughs and b'awws as the little family are reunited. We present you three with this month's Thread Award! Congrats!
