The Rise of MOBIUS, Act I [OPEN]

Of course a seven foot tall robot suit with glowing eyes and an unknown symbol on the shoulder drew a lot of stares from the people of Alexandria. The odd looking weapon it carried served only to add to the strangeness. What happened next was both strange and frightening. The armor suit brought its weapon to bare as an antenna raised from the right shoulder, between the plate protecting the neck area and a booming voice issued from within.

"PEOPLE OF ALEXANDRIA, BE SILENT AND LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF YOUR NEW MASTER," Boomed the voice, loud enough that it echoed through the entire city, through multiple speakers that had shown up quite silently and suddenly before now. "MY NAME IS MOBIUS, SCIENTIFIC GENIUS OF A CALIBER YOU WOULD NEVER UNDERSTAND. AS I SPEAK, MY EXPERIMENTS ARE MOVING AMONG YOU. MAKE NO ATTEMPT TO FLEE OR RESIST, OR YOU WILL BE KILLED. I HAVE NO USE FOR TEST SUBJECTS WHO CANNOT OBEY THEIR OWN MASTERS! THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING!" Announced the voice. Several rebellious men of Alexandria-- Young punks with no concern for their lives-- shouted protests.

"Who the hell do you think you are, tin man? You're nothin'!" One of them shouted, lobbing a rock at the iron suit. Before the stone had flown half the distance to the thick iron plates, balls of plasma flew from the odd device it carried, the first blasting the man backwards a few steps, the next searing through clothes, the third through flesh and bone, and the fourth completely through to the buildings on the other side. As if on command, several people who had looked to be normal suddenly stood to a greater height, revealing all manner of gruesome additions; laser guns, extra limbs, bulging muscles that looked enough to split the skin, and all of them with the same glowing yellow eyes as the armor suit commanding them.

"I WILL NOT GIVE ANOTHER WARNING, FOOLS. YOU WILL SUBMIT OR I'LL DESTROY YOU ALL; IF YOU WILL NOT BE PROPER TEST SUBJECTS, YOUR RESOURCES WILL BE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO CONVERT THIS WORTHLESS HEAP OF RUBBLE INTO A MAGNIFICENT RESEARCH CENTER!" The voice boomed as the armor suit raised an arm. There was a loud burst of what sounded like static and the abominations lurched into action, charging after the innocent civilians with reckless fury at their command. Alexandria would be the first in the rise of the mad scientist, Dr. Mobius!

One of the most powerful dragons in existence stood among them and yet they paid him no attention, it was almost pathetic how care free these people were. "It's almost saddening to watch." Cobalt said to himself, as his hands lifted a small cup of tea to his lips. Humans did have a use of creating simple things for consumption, such as tea. . . It was quite delicious. It was then when presence filled the air and Cobalt's hands lightly set down his cup to see the cause of it. Although it did not take long to find the cause. A . . . Large robotic suit walked through the streets of Alexandria, demanding the people to bow to him . . . "Magitek armor? " He asked himself with a raised eyebrow. It was a creation from his home world that humans created to kill one another to rule the planet. He took one more glance at the machine and shook his head. It was a different design and structure from what he's seen before, it was impossible it was Magitek. Humans then began to sprout extra limbs and . . "No, I suppose they weren't human to begin with." Cobalt thought as his katana was now in his hands, his footsteps slowly walked toward the carnage the was before him. His colored appearance had most likely caught the eye of the beasts that were now wreaking havoc among the townspeople and two of them began to charge at Cobalt. They were wild and savage without thought, like animals. With a quick step and sprint, Cobalt unsheathed his katana and with a single swing, one of the creatures with extra limbs was beheaded while he kicked the body away. Another that seemed more muscular than any human he's ever seen rushed towards him, with a sigh Cobalt struck his scabbard towards the abominations neck which blocked air flow. "Ridiculous." The dragon said simply before cutting the beast in twine. A quick swipe to the side cleaned his blade of all the blood that had been staining it for the minute it had been used as he walked towards the robotic man once more. "Such amusing creatures you have!" He spoke loudly so that the man could hear him but retained his calm tone of voice. It had been a rush of adrenaline, as I heard the sounds of a fight. Or was it a slaughter. I ran to the place from the Inn, hands promptly gripping the grips of Yakusai and Nayami. The situation wasn't good, at all. There were already a few casualties, and from how things looked, taking more might be inevitable. However, it was looking better.

A man garnered in blue and armed with a sword had taken to the field and apparently killed two of the... things. I pulled Yakusai and Nayami out of their holsters while moving through the crowd, my instincts kicking in. I was a soldier trained to protect, and I would do just that. I shrugged off thoughts of Zack and Shira, whom were probably watching. I had no time to worry about them seeing me in action, I just had to make sure that the damage was minimal in the end.

So I hid in the crowd, waiting for the fight to start up again. IT would be better if they were taken out quickly, and if I showed myself, they'd be wary. However, in the crowd, I could choose the time I would jump into the fray. I could only hope the man in blue would be able to last until that point. I felt my chest start to throb lightly in reaction to the adrenaline. Whatever PSICOM had done to me was activating.

It was what would allow me to end this fight as quickly as it might begin.

Heading outside after Arleen Shira was shocked to see armor walking around in the street as some blueclad man had attacked it. The rest of the people ran screaming away as fast as possible, trying to get to safety as Shira grabbed her knifes and eyed the ...thing walking around, spreading terror and panic on it's way.

Turning to Zack she said "I assume this isn't normal, even here... and I have the distinct feeling the voice controlling that thing doesn't belong to a nice guy. Let's see what's going on!"

With that she was gone, dodging and weaving her way in and out of the still paniced crowds trying to get closer to the stricken armor, wanting to learn how it walked on its own, but more importantly why would someone create such things and unleash it on a city.
