The lush green fields of Gran Pulse were quite extraordinary to anyone with the right mindset. The cool air, the exotic monsters that roamed, along with the dangers that came with the beauty. Very few other realms can compete against the area of Gran Pulse in all counts of the matter.
"How troublesome. . A black cloaked figure stained the beautiful green fields of Gran Pulse . This man stood before a Behemoth with no fear in his eyes, something else stood instead. Was it arrogance or confidence that stared into the belly of the beast. The great Behemoth roared with no effect to frighten the man who simply rose his overly long blade with a small smirk.
"Come." He spoke simply to which the beast roared once more before charging head on at the man. "Hmph, how foolish. Sephiroth's thoughts echoed in his mind as he sidestepped the beast and slashed at it's one of it's horns, slicing it clean off. The Behemoth bellowed loudly in annoyance and swung it's back leg at the black caped man who's face had gone in surprise before raising his blade just in time when the impact hit, tossing him back a few feet.
The impact sent the man into the air a few feet before he came crashing down. Sephiroth managed to land on his feet, but not without injury from the impact. His breath quickly became heavy as did his limbs began to ache. His eyes were in slight disbelief of what just occurred, in the past he would easily be able to see the attack coming and again block it with no hint of a struggle.
"How is this possible?" He asked himself in both curiosity and shock. It was only when the Behemoth roared once again that the former Hero snapped back into reality. His eyes simply glared at the beast as both his hands grasped onto Masamune's hilt. He would end it in a single strike. His eyes closed in concentration, the sound of the beasts steps echoed in his mind as it got closer each second.
"Heaven's Light." He muttered and his body vanished right when the beast swung a paw at his body. It felt a small thump on it's backside only for it's mind to fall into darkness. Sephiroth stood on the beast while it's head slowly slid off, blood soaked into the ground once more staining the beautiful green that had once been there.
With a small jump the swordsman landed on the grass, only to grasp onto his side with a tinge of pain. This battle had cost him, but it had also showed him a painful truth.
"For what ever reason, in my current state. . . He sighed looking at the carcass that laid before him. I am weak. It had been a little time since I'd been here, but I relished the chance to return and site-see. However, there wasn't much to see. It was a beautiful, lush wilderness; that was all there was to it.
I sighed, resting against a tree. Auric had advised me against wandering too far, as well as reminding me that using my guns if attacked would just draw more monsters. My best chance would be to run away. However, the thought irked me. I never liked to run away from a fight in the first place, and it would be better for me to run from fights I could win? Unbelievable.
I pushed off the tree and took to walking, swiping my Beret off my head and shaking my hair out. It annoyed me. Simply the thought of running away annoyed me, even if it was to regroup, and try again. If you didn't get it right the first time, do you even deserve to win at all?
And so my mind raged until I heard a roar of pain.
My immediate reaction was to grasp Yakusai's grip, but I stopped myself before I pulled it loose. Nothing was charging me, after all. I slipped my Beret back on my head, neglecting to bun my hair up like normal. I felt an unnatural sense of urgency. "Oh my..." The scene I came upon was interesting indeed.
A man clad in black and gray stood over the body of a dead monster: one much larger than those that had assaulted me in the forest before. I took note of the monster's appearance. I would need to remember to avoid them.
And it might be a smart thing I did. The man himself was wounded in the fight it seemed, and it didn't seem like a soft blow either. "Are you alright?" I asked, slightly cautious. You never knew if a stranger would kill you before they spoke to you; especially in a place such as this.

It was dark. my body felt languid as if I were suspended in nothingness. I tried opening my eyes, but couldn't. Or maybe it was that they were open and there was just nothing to see? I was still there, but yet not. I don't know how long I had been in that state. hours, days, months? Hell it could have been years for all I could tell. but eventually I vacated that 'place'.
There was what felt like a vacuum, sucking me back to where I was supposed to go next. Or was it cramming me back into my body? Had I died? I didn't think so. I remembered being in Bevelle. home. Something strange had happened in the chambers below the temple and I had accompanied Praetor Barali to investigate. It was.. a black hole? Abyss? I couldn't quite remember. Whatever it was, he got sucked into it and I had jumped in after him.
That's right.. the praetor should be here with me. Shouldn't he? I attempted to extend my 'senses' and couldn't feel anything. As far as I could tell, I was alone. my heart picked up speed and raced furiously in my chest as the urge to find the Praetor pressed heavier upon me.
Wake up! Wake up, wake up, wake up!!
Without warning, light engulfed my 'vision' and I forced myself out of the nothingness. Suddenly, I could feel again. I was lying flat on my back staring up at a vast blue sky. Everything ached, from my head to my toes. Forcing myself to sit up, I groggily evaluated my surroundings with surprise. "I am definitely not in Bevelle anymore."
It was then that a sweet, metallic scent tickled at my nose that I snapped out of my haze. Blood. Almost immediately in response, my adrenaline began pumping though my veins in a rush, sharpening my alertness. Gripping the hilt of my katana, I slowly inched my way through the lushness of the foreign area and followed my nose towards the scent.
It was a mere hundred meters away when I peered around a bush and discovered three figures. One was male, one female, and the third was possibly a fiend lying in a large pool of its' own blood; obviously dead. Gnawing on my bottom lip in contemplation, I finally came to a decision and rose from my cover and casually stepped out into the strangers view.
"Have either of you perhaps seen a man wandering around these parts?" I called out, seemingly confident and commanding. But truthfully, I was preparing for them to recognize me as a foreigner and attack.

A voice filled the air around the former first class as he looked up in slight surprise to find anyone in this dangerous land. These monsters would tear into the flesh of normal beings easily and rip them into shreds. . . Why would anyone but someone of his former strength be in such a place? His mako infused eyes fell upon a young girl clad in blue, her color was the opposite of his own. Lively and innocent, yes someone like her should not be around such monsters.
"I'm fine." He said, easily lying through his teeth. This wound caused him great pain, but he would tend to it later, secluded from all those who would consider him the enemy. From his past he became the Planet's enemy, any being from his realm would both know and hate him from what he did to them and in Sephiroth's current state of power. . . He would fall prey to them and most likely suffer death as a consequence.
"Leave girl, while you still can." He himself did not know if that was a threat or a warning from the beasts the lurk here. He took another step and quickly held onto his wound in pain, he would have to find shelter quickly else his blood would attract the remaining beasts in the surrounding area.
And the sound of bushes alerted him, he didn't think the creatures here would find the carcass so quickly. . The swordsman turned around to face his new foe, only to find yet another woman staring at him. His eyes turned into a slight glare, were these fools searching for an early grave? The girl asked simply if they had seen another man within the area. Sephiroth turned once more and began walking with a slight limp away from the two. He had not seen any other Hume's beside the two that were near him now.
"Giving a response is meaningless." He thought to himself as he passed the carcass of the Behemoth.

"I'm fine." It was obvious he was lying, too obvious. I frowned at him and furrowed my brows. Why would he lie when the right answer was plain for all to see? Did he have a superiority complex? Was he just stupid? Either way, it didn't change the reality that he could be killed. Just like it didn't change the fact that it was the same with me.
"Leave girl, while you still can." I frowned deeper at his comment. "While I still can?" Was he giving up on life, or was he threatening me, or was he giving me a warning. He was wounded, and I knew very well that being wounded in a place like this is like a death sentence. There was no way I could subject him to that.
"Have either of you perhaps seen a man wandering around these parts?" I turned to the voice, my hand immeidately moving to pull Yakusai if needed. However, it wasn't. A girl had cleared the brush and emerged into the small clearing.
"Unless you mean him, then no-" I replied, turning back to the wounded man: who was walking away. That flipped my switch. I took only a couple large steps over until I was behind him, and grabbed the back of his collar. "Don't try to limp away, you'll get no where like that."

"Unless you mean him, then no-" the blonde haired woman had replied to my question, then marched after the male and grabbing him by the back of his collar, almost like a mother would a child. The thought brought a small bubble of laughter to my throat, but I swallowed it back down quickly. They were strangers, armed strangers at that, so it was best I didn't do anything to provoke them.
However, the sight before me was indeed quite something. Didn't that woman know that men absolutely hate it when women, or anyone for that matter, see them while they're injured? While I felt that the woman wasn't thinking too much about the situation, the male wasn't much better himself. For example: he glared at me then turned and walked away without saying anything. He could have at least said no..
Looking closer at him, he appeared to be a bit imposing. He was clad in dark cloth, carried a very long sword, and had long silver hair that fell past his waist. Kind of reaper-like[/color], I thought to myself.
As entertaining as this was, finding the Praetor was my priority. I took my gaze away from the two in front of me and scanned the area around me. The area was a lush green and looked very rich. Just where in Spira was I?
Instead of heading off in a random direction when I had no idea where I was located, I took a few steps after the man and woman. I needed to inquire further as to this location and if there was a temple nearby. If I was still in Spira that was.. For some reason a voice in the back of my head was telling me that I wasn't. I almost didn't want to ask, but I knew when I joined New Yevon that I would very possibly do many things that I didn't want to do. And I was just being childish. So I patiently waited for the two.
The male would either give in to the woman and he would be helped, or he would refuse and hunker off somewhere else to lick his wounds. If he was smart, he'd give in and allow help. But I knew some people would still refuse despite their condition, just because of their pride. Here's to hoping the male didn't let his pride rule him.

But instead another surprise swept over him, he felt a hand trudge on the collar of his neck. He looked back to find the girl's hand holding him back from moving away. In simple reaction he swept his blade at the girls arm, this time as a warning not to do such a thing again.
"If you want to keep that arm . . Keep it where it is." He threatened her, this time there was no hint of warning in his voice. Just cold and venomous, the first class had never accepted help from those weaker than him. "These wounds will heal in time. Sephiroth thought to himself as his eyes peered to his injured waist. He had most like broken a rib or two, something that would pain him for some time but would eventually heal.
He is gaze peered at the two for a moment before returning to just the girl clad in blue. "Who are you." It was more of a statement more than a question. "And why are you here." His thoughts pondered on why he did not ask this before hand, they may be enemies to take care of. Sephiroth's grip on Masamune tightened. "I'm becoming careless."

"If you want to keep that arm... keep it where it is." I heard the venom in his voice, but it only made me frown more at him. Such a threat in his current state wouldn't hold much weight, even if he did kill a massive monster.
However, it was pretty certain he was extremely prideful, and that I could most certainly relate to. That meant that this man probably had been a very famous person, or highly successful in the least case. "Who are you?" I heard the man's voice, but didn't register his words as a question immediately. A deception of tone. "And why are you here?"
I frowned at the man, but shrugged, turning and taking a few steps away. "I'm Arleen, and you could say I'm much like you, in terms of your situation." I turned back to him, smirking slightly. "Believe me, I've been in a similar situation as you are right now." I looked around the prarie, spotting the girl that had shown up at random before, before turning back to the man. "As for why I'm here... I'm just on a remniscence trip."

Waiting for an intermission, I cocked my hip to the side and placed both of my hands on my hips in an impatient manner. Perhaps if matters weren't so confusing I would have been a bit more polite, but at this point in time I could have cared less. So instead of being patient and biting my tongue, I let loose the words that I was holding back.
Looking to the blonde woman, I spoke. "I understand that the injured man is top priority here, but him being childish by refusing your help can only lead to a stand off, and if that happens you two will be standing here for days."
Turning sharping and grinding the heel of my boot into the dirt at the same time, my violet hues narrowed at the silver haired male in turn rather dangerously. "And as for you, if you're going to refuse help and run into the wild where possibly more powerful creatures like that dead one roam, while you're limping pitifully, is your prerogative. But I need to know where the hell I am and where to find my Praetor!"
I felt a bit bad, but I honestly didn't feel like standing around only to watch mister reaper threaten death to the good soul who attempted to help his moody butt. Also, had no idea where the abyss had sent me and no clue as to where Barali was. So my impatience came out first, rather than my worry and fright. I wouldn't blame either of them for throwing something at me. I knew that communication wasn't really my strong point, the other monks knew that very well...
