It had been ages since Jecht had traveled the way humans were supposed to, and it was refreshing. Rather then just being a giant monster that propelled itself by magical means, feeling the strain in his legs was an amazing feeling. For Jecht, it was hard to explain in words what it was like to be free again, free to choose his own path, free to do whatever. However this freedom was an empty one for the moment, as he didn't have any of his old friends to accompany him at the moment. Also, not to mention the fact the world he was free in, wasn't exactly the world he left all that time ago. familiar
First of all, there was the mist that seemed to be almost everywhere now-a-days. He made sure to stay away from it, for he had heard bad things about it. Normally rumors wouldn't change anything, but if it dealt with magic he somewhat listened to them. However, even with the negative rumors, Jecht was somewhat compelled to rush into the mist and see if he could come back unscathed. He held himself back from such compulsion though, and kept his mind on the task of making it to a city he knew.
Which brings us to our second point, Jecht didn't know what was going on with the world. When he had left, Spira should have had a calm that would last forever. Now however, there were countries and whole land masses he didn't know about. Jecht had even heard of war in this land between two new powers. This angered him greatly, because of the work everyone did to bring peace to Spira, himself included. However, all these thoughts on the world faded away as he finally arrived at Luca.
"Finally! A place that I remember!" Jecht exclaimed as he made it to the outskirts of the city of Luca. From wher ehe was, he could see that the city was alive. Though it felt that the city didn't have all that it's luster it did when he last passed through. This observation didn't stay in his mind long, as he just wanted to see a familiar place right now.
"If only I could play blitzball again," Jecht mused to himself as he entered the city. If one were to look at him right now they would see a grin on his face, as if he were currently reliving his blitzball days back in Zanarkand.
As he neared the stadium, he half expected it to be destroyed or something, following the trend of the rest of the world. But to his amazement, the stadium was there, and it seemed to be in full working order. The only reason he didn't run to the stadium now was because he was so exhausted from traveling all this distance.
"Heh, I should go play now anyways," Jecht stated to himself, sitting down on a nearby bench, leaning his sword next to him, "It'd be the only way the people there would have a chance to beat me." Watching the water, Jecht let his legs rest for the first time in hours, knowing he'd need it if he was really going to play blitzball in a little bit.

Jecht was glad to see that the world didn't change enough to make it so he wouldn't enjoy the sights. Though as he heard someone addressing him with the title he easily deserved, he knew this time of sightseeing was coming to an end. Looking over at the person that addressed him, he was given a shock to see that it was little Yuna, daughter of his friend Lord Braska. It had been a while since he's seen her, and he half expected to meet up with Tidus or Auron before anyone else. That doesn't matter though, anyone that he knew from the past was a great thing.
"Yuna!" Jecht exclaimed standing up from the bench he had been sitting on. He had to resist the urge to just run to her and engulf her in a giant hug, the feeling of meeting people he knew while not being a monster was wonderful after all. Rather, he just stood there and gave a slight bow in return to the summoner he once knew as a little kid.
"Thanks. It's feels great seeing someone I know in this crazy place," Jecht responded, because of the fact that the world he knew, wasn't exactly the world he was in now. After meeting Yuna here, he was sure that he would find more of the people he used to know. Or at least he would try with everything he's got, people would expect nothing less from the Great Sir Jecht after all.
"Anyways, how have things been since I saw you last?" Jecht pondered, wondering on if she would mention anything about him being the last incarnation of Sin. It wasn't something he would bring up himself, as he felt that they had dealt with that when they defeated him.
"Also, do you know what happened to this world?" the reason Jecht asked that question was because he noticed that she seemed situated to this place. On his way here, he had seen both people with confused looks on their faces and those without. Yuna, it would appear, did not have that confused appearance, while Jecht did. However this didn't matter as much to him right now. He was just happy he found someone he knew, which was a great start to finding the others.

[/b] Yuna commented. "In fact I've become the leader of the Isle of Besaid." Yuna stated and threw in a small smile. "Things have been so wonderful since the Eternal Calm came. I couldn't be happier, seeing everyone without a fear of Sin..." Yuna smiled once again. Leader of Besaid had just brought her a smile minutes ago, now it was doing so again. Seeing Sir Jecht made her wonder what would her father think. I'm sure that he would be proud of me, Yuna thought. If Yuna was older and had a child, if she found out her child was a leader....the pride that would come along with it. Her child would have won the trust of so many, though it better not be false words that were spoke. False words to inspire trust was one of the worst things there was. "Yes Spira has changed in many ways, in ways I wish that never changed. The Moonflow does not look like it used to. Still as beautiful though." Yuna said. "Worlds have even been connected somehow. I've met people from different worlds, I even have had an invite to see another world. Well that and the possibility of an alliance. I don't know I hope I lead Besaid well." Yuna stated with a nod.[/ul] OCC:: I'm sorry it's so short ><

"Leader of Besaid? That's quite something," Jecht responded with a grin on his face as well. Who knew the day would come that the little Yuna he once knew would become the leader of something. Also, the fact that the kids really did seem to end the cycle of Sin was great news. There had been some doubt in his mind that they would truly be able to end things. But they had done it somehow, and it was just a great deed they had done.
"I'm sure everything will be fine," Jecht was still amazed that she became Besaid's leader. He didn't know if he could lead a place or anything like Yuna was doing. What he did know though, is that he could protect things, as he had done for Lord Braska on his pilgrimage. There was a reason he was called the greatest after all, and he couldn't leave Yuna out in the world by herself now could he?
"Yuna," Jecht started, a somber expression on his face, "If you ever need any help with anything don't hesitate to ask you hear?" Really this was essentially Jecht offering his service as guardian, but this time to Yuna's role as leader of Besaid. "And if any of those fancy politicians try to give you trouble, just point them in my direction, k?" Jecht wanted everything to go well with what remained of his world, so he was going to help in any way possible.
"By the way, have you seen anyone else?" Jecht asked out of the blue, "Like Auron or Tidus?" Those people were really the only other ones he cared about at the moment. After all, Auron was the other guardian and Tidus was his son, everyone else he knew could wait a little bit longer. Since Yuna had seniority on time in this world, he figured that she may know something about their location. Though, she may know nothing about where they were, but it was still worth asking after all.

[/b] Yuna asked with a sparkle in her eyes. "I'm worried that I won't make the right decisions. I know everyone trusts me with their lives, but I'm worried I'll let them down." Yuna admitted. Was good to hear Sir Jecht's words of reassurance. She did have faith in herself, if she didn't....well Yuna would certainly not have taken the role as a leader. If she was to be fighting, leading, and protecting Besaid she wanted to be sure she was at her best. The young summoner listened to Sir Jecht's words and her face lit up. My father's guardian wishes to help me? Yuna thought happily. "Sir Jecht, you can count on it." Yuna chuckled and nodded at him. Sir Auron and who was the second? Tidus? Well the summoner had not seen any sign of Sir Auron, but who was Tidus? The young half Al Bhed looked at Sir Jecht and then down at the ground. This was not the first time someone had brought up something she didn't know anything about. Sometimes in fact, someone would start speaking to her as if she had defeated Sin and called her a High Summoner. Sadly, Yuna had no memory what so ever of Tidus or Sir Jecht being Sin. Or even being the High Summoner who brought the Eternal Calm, after Tidus had faded away something had happened. A memory block more or less. "I haven't seen Sir Auron." Yuna said. Should I ask? Yuna thought. After pondering on this thought for a moment, she decided to ask. "Who is Tidus? I don't know a Tidus, I'm sorry." Yuna said.[/ul]

It would seem that Yuna was happy with his offer and reassurance, which was what he was going for. This was a dangerous new world that he knew nothing about, and he wasn't going to let someone he cared about take it on alone. While it would appear that Yuna was nervous about making the wrong decisions, it was probably something all leaders went through. After all, if the people didn't believe that she could make the right decisions, he was fairly sure they wouldn't have made her the leader.
"No worries Yuna," Jecht started, "I'm sure that any decision you have to make will be with the safety of Besaid at mind."
After she said what was basically an acceptance of his proposal to help, Jecht himself was ecstatic. It was good that he would now be able to protect his new home after leaving Zanarkand, also the fact he seemed to found a place to be in this new crazy world. As everyone probably knew, it was always good to find someplace to belong.
"That's odd," Jecht replied, a little bit shocked at the fact she didn't know who Tidus was. "Tidus is my son, and he was your guardian when he went with you to face Sin. Like father like son." Jecht's memory may not have been perfect when he was the monster known as Sin, but when he faced his son and his friends he remembered who was all there. For that fight, was certain that Yuna and his son were among the people there.
"I'm sorry you don't remember my son, or defeating me as Sin," Jecht stated truthfully, as it was a big part in her life. He wasn't sure if she remembered if he was Sin or not, so he slipped that last part in there to see if she would say anything or not. Jecht wasn't sure if she would eventually remember her adventure or not, but he hoped she did. Though he was going to see what she what she said, he was curious to see what she actually remembered.

Yuna seemed to take what he said in both good and bad ways. In the beginning what he said made her happy. After all, it should be a good thing to have a famous guardian offer their services. Not to mention the fact that Jecht was the greatest guardian ever, it would have been that much better. Though, see seemed to be a little put off about not knowing who Tidus was, which was the sad part. It made Jecht feel a tad bit sorry for her, seeing how she forgot an important part of her life. Possibly the worst part was giving her the thought that Sin would be back, which was a horrible notion even to him.
"I'm positive Sin won't be back," Jecht started, a grin on his face, "And even if he did dare to show his face again, he wouldn't last now that you kids figured out how to beat him last time." The first part of this statement wasn't entirely the truth, as Jecht couldn't know if the monster would be back. Seeing how he was resurrected from the grave, the source of the evil that was Sin could have been too. But, since Yuna and her guardians figured out how to beat him once, he was sure they could do it again. After all, they wouldn't have to fight Jecht this time, he'd help them with the battle against Sin.
"Hm... Tidus." Jecht mused, thinking about how his own son looked, "He's a bit taller then you are. A little bit on the scrawny side if you'd ask me. Blond hair, blue eyes, wears a smallish yellow jacket." Jecht paused for a minute, trying to think of anything else to describe the kid. Jecht was usually good with remembering people, but he didn't exactly see his kid that much after he got to Spira.
"Oh yeah," Jecht exclaimed, snapping his fingers as he remembered something, "He wore a necklace with this tattoo at the end of it." Which of course was the giant tattoo he had on his chest, which he pointed out to Yuna. Hopefully this would bring back a memory or two of the kid. If not, there wasn't really much they could do about it until they actually found the brat in question.

[/b] Yuna said with a nod. "If Sin was defeated once before, he can be defeated again."Tidus, the description sounded familiar. Like she should know him. Well she should know him regardless, if Tidus was her guardian he should be familiar. But his description sounded like she had seen him recently, like in the past day. But when? Yuna thought. As she skimmed through her thoughts, it hit her. Her dreams really were telling her something, without a doubt in her mind that was a fact. This Tidus had been in her dreams. Perhaps my dreams are memories that are trying to speak truth? "My dreams I have been having, I think they are my memories." Yuna said. "I see a lot of blurry people and I hear all these voices calling out to me." Yuna said and looked at her hands. "How you described Tidus is all to familiar to me. I remember seeing someone sorta like that in my dreams. That is if it is the same person." Yuna said.[/ul]

Things were starting to at least sound better with Yuna, as she restated the fact that Sin could be defeated again. It was a step in the right direction at least. Though, who was Jecht to just get here and start changing up everything all of a sudden. Yuna seemed to know more about this crazy world then he did after all. While she might not remember everything she should have, what she said next gave him some hope on that matter.
"Well that's a start," Jecht responded about the dreams. If that was all she had to go on, then it was all she had. "I'm sure after meeting the brat you'll remember something. If you're already dreaming about him, seeing him in reality should hopefully get your memories back." Or at least it was sound in theory. Then again, there was nothing about this world that seemed to be sound.
"So really I suppose you'll just need time," Jecht stated, shrugging his shoulders not having a real solution to the problem. "And if you keep on leading Besaid, I'm sure that people that we both knew will end up there." After all, who wouldn't want to go back to where they belong? Jecht sure knew how that felt. After all, for the longest time he had wanted to go back to Zanarkand, before Spira became his new home.

[/b] Yuna said. "I understand if you don't wish to talk about that though." Yuna stated with a nod. Yuna smiled and nodded. She was truly happy to be in the company of Sir Jecht once more. Which brought her back to her original thoughts. Oh, Yuna thought happily. Hopefully this will lighten the mood. The talk about Yuna's lost memory had tensed up the mood. This reunion should be happy, dwelling on this could wait until a different time. Yuna looked up at the legendary guardian and rose her hand, like she did when she asked. Only this hand raise was not high, just high enough to be level with her chest. "Sir Jecht, could you show me the Jecht Shot Mark lll again?" Yuna asked with a brightness in her face. She then let down her hand and grasped together her two hands behind her back.[/ul] OOC: No worries ^^ I don't know if you were in the area of Hurricane Irene, but I've known many people who have. Jecht was more then relieved when Yuna changed the topic of conversation. After all, there wasn't much more Jecht could say on that topic anyways. He wasn't an expert on memory loss, and who knows what kind of rules this new world followed anyways. The next topic of conversation was something he did know about though, as he was closely related to it. Also, it was a topic that wouldn't cause nearly much awkwardness as Yuna's memory.
"I don't mind at all," Jecht started, not feeling bad at all about how they defeated him, but glad instead. "I'm not sure on all the details, I was a bit preoccupied during that time," that is, if you could call being a giant monster 'preoccupied'. "But rather then relying on the Final Summon and the sacrifices that came with it. You had decided to defeat the heart of Sin, Yu Yevon himself." The only reason Jecht knew about Yu Yevon was because he had been controlled by him. It was hard to be controlled and not know who the controller was.
"It wasn't easy for you guys though, but together with your guardians and other friends you managed to do it. And after that, they cycle of death stopped." Jecht had vague memories of the battle that happened after he met with them inside Sin. He remembered the conversation he had, but after he fell under the control and fought with them he was barely aware of what happened. All he remembered after that was meeting with Tidus and Auron and that was when the dream ended. Then this life happened, which was an unexpected occurrence if he would say so himself.
The next question Jecht didn't expect at all. Though of course she would want to see it, after all, it was probably the best blitz move there was. Jecht had wanted for so long to blitz again, but it was a dream that was never realized. Though now it was a different story, he was free and he could blitz whenever it hit his fancy too.
"No problem," Jecht started, finding a nearby convenient blitzball, "Normally people would easily pay to see this, but for you I'll make an exception." From the look on his face, it would be easy to see he was full of joy and eagerness at what he was about to do. The was also no doubt in his mind that he could do it either, it was like riding a Chocobo, you never forget.
Holding the blitzball in front of him, Jecht took a deep breath. Exhaling, he dropped the ball and kicked it at a nearby lamppost. The ball hit the post and came barreling back at him. Meeting the ball with his fist, Jecht pounded the ball back towards the pole. This time however, Jecht jumped into the air and started spinning himself rapidly. Coming out of the spin, Jecht kicked the blitzball as hard as possible, sending it sailing over the water.
Landing on the ground, Jecht stretched his body out, "What'd you think of that?" After not playing blitz for so long, it had been a little weird doing the move again. But it was something his body would always remember, since he did it so often back in Zanarkand. "It's good to see I still got it."

[/b] Yuna said happily. Cycle of death... A lot of things now were bringing more confusion to Yuna. Anything was possible, right? "I truly am happy to be the one who defeated Sin, but all those teachings.." Yuna said. On a more inviting note, Sir Jecht had agreed to show Yuna the blitzball move. Sir Jecht had always shown a bit of arrogance, but he was a kind and gentle. He also had honor and was a very good man. It seemed to lighten the mood with Sir Jecht also, his face lit up a bit and joy was shown. When the shot was performed, the high summoner's eyes lit up with amazement. Yes it still was amazing to watch, although she had not seen it since she was seven; however, it was exactly how she remembered. Her eyes darted with the ball as Sir Ject hit it. This was reminding her of being seven in Bevelle once more, she felt the innocence and joy, also the amazement when the Jecht Shot was shown to her. It was a one of a kind and could not be forgotten very easily. As the ball went sailing across the water, the brunette summoner's head followed the trail and a small smile formed on her face. "Oh that was amazing Sir Jecht." Yuna said with a bit of joy in her voice. "That shot is a one of a kind, it was a pleasure to see again." Yuna said with a chuckle. "Have you given thought to joining a blitz team? I'm sure they would be happy to have the great Sir Jecht." Yuna said with a nod. Maybe the Kilika Beasts, Luca Goers, or maybe even the Besaid Aurochs. Since he wasn't a Al Bhed, she doubted he would be on the Al Bhed Pyschs. Sir Jecht doesn't look like a Ronso either, Yuna thought with a chuckle. Picturing Sir Jecht with a horn on his head was a bit interesting. What a grand horn it would be, Yuna thought. Her giving the idea to be a blitzer was not a way to get rid of him either. She figured he might be a bit happier being on a blitzball team; however, he seemed to love being a guardian, but no more Sin. Having Sir Jecht by her side protecting her though, was still an honor and would remain that way.[/ul] OOC: Sorry it took so long Jecht ><

Jecht couldn't tell if his answer gave any clarification to what happened or not. It couldn't be helped that much though, seeing that he didn't know that many details about what happened. She also seemed to be a little upset about what that meant about Yevon's teachings. However, that would be something that Yuna would figure out on her own. Though, with the world being in it's current state, Jecht didn't think that Yevon's teachings was the biggest worry right now.
"Well," Jecht started, scratching the back of his head, "You guys just did what you had to do, teachings or no teachings." While it was easy for Jecht to say that, seeing how he didn't live his whole life following the teachings. For Yuna though, he didn't know what it would be like, but again, it wasn't something he could do something about. Hopefully, it would be something she figured out soon enough, especially if she managed to get her memories back somehow.
Then after Jecht performed his one of a kind shot, he was pleased to see the look on her face. Jecht remembered that look from every face that has seen that move. For some reason it was good to see someone admire him like that again, it had been so long after all. Then Yuna brought up idea of joining a blitzball team, something he hadn't really thought about. While he was on his pilgrimage with Braska, there wasn't much time for blitzball. Now he was essentially free to do whatever he wanted to.
"Ha, I'm sure that they'd pay a fortune for me," considering he was one part blitball player, one part guardian, "But that was my old life before coming to Spira. Rather then living a dream, I'll help you out and hopefully make this world better." This was a decision he made a long time ago with Braska and Auron. "Not to mention the fact that having me on their team would be basically cheating." Even though he wasn't going to be playing blitzball as a career or anything, it didn't mean he couldn't play every now or again.
OCC: No problem.
