"He was very nice to me. He gave me water and food when I collapsed in Archades. Even though he was a solider, and I held weapons with me even though he did not know at the time, he still helped me. I'm grateful for that. Even though I'm not his daughter, though once mistaken for one, it feels...natural to call him dad."
Lightning[/font]
"Lightning truly scared me the first time we met. But just shortly after, she proved to be a nice, maybe slightly misunderstood, person. She kind of reminds me of my mother. I know it's a keepsake of my mother but one day, I want the courage to give Lightning my pendant."

"Vanille's a very bubbly person. She seems a little pained at times but I can't blame her for that. But she's so strong...I wish I could be more like her. She can still smile when she has no idea where her friends are and she's alone. She's like a little sister to me now."
