What kind of place was this? Why was nothing war-like? Was there even a place that was NOT in turmoil? Albel was starting to get a little irritated. It was possible it was because, while he was out there with Fayt, he was never bored but now...everything seemed boring. Did he have to pick a fight in order to get some sort of entertainment?
At least the town was lively, unlike the small and quietness of Besaid. Of course, he met entertainment there, at least, but damn, it still hurt. Ahh well. No pain, no gain. He found himself at an arena, staring at it suspiciously. It looked like some sort of entertainment facility. However, by how happy people were and how much hardships they didn't have, he doubted it was a coliseum.
Again, people were staring at him. Really...? Could people not continue to stare at him? Hmm. He shouldn't expect less, though. It wasn't everyday someone wearing a skirt, and was male, with a sword hanging from his side, and a gauntlet on his arm was seen in these parts. At least they took some notice, then continued on with their busy lives.

Uzuki, of course, was pretty accustomed by now to people staring. Her wings were something to be noted, as well as her unusual style of dress. She was bummed, really. The last game she had played wasn't entertaining at all, and the lazy bum was nowhere to be found. She had left this dump late last night, but having nowhere to really go, she returned. Her patience was standing on end, if someone happened to look at her the wrong way, she's probably shoot them. She was looking for one of two things: a game or Kariya.
Unbeknownst to her, however, the latter would not be found. She stalked in the street, obviously pissed off. She wouldn't yell again, he seemed to enjoy that too much. Instead, she just glared at anyone in her path, and for the most part, they had moved. She stormed up to Albel, her hands curled and she giving him an icy glare. Move. She wasn't in the mood to play games anymore. She wanted to find Kariya and leave. Or maybe fight someone, if the opportunity presented it.

Albel stopped and stared at the girl. Oh wow, as if he hadn't seen those same hating eyes in the thousands he's killed, the vengeance people swore on him, and the hatred of those Aquarians. He's seen those eyes a thousand times. Except, they weren't directed at him, but rather, where he was standing. She obviously wasn't in any mood to be nice and friendly.
Honestly, he wasn't in the mood to move. So they just stood there, staring at each other. Albel took out an apple, from gods know where, and started to eat it, breaking contact with the reaper girl. Wait...Albel looked back at her. Only now he noticed how strangely dressed she was and her wings. After he swallowed his first bite, he started to speak.
"You look like a harpy." That was his only comment as he continued to eat his apple. He's seen monstrosities before, and once, even caught a glimpse of Fayt with wings. Not only that, but he has been to worlds where this girl could be called 'normal'. However, nothing to concern himself with, he thought, as he continued to eat his apple.

"Well. Nice way to greet me, girly." Yashiro spoke with a harsh tone, swiping and knocking the apple out of his hand. How DARE he insult her by calling her a harpy. She walked around him, glaring at him as she passed. She was very irritated, bellicose, even. Anyone that got too close (this guy included) may just get a blast to the face, She wanted that lazy bum to show up. Now.
She of course would never admit that she wanted him around. He was a partner, that was all. Even if she, the most irratated girl in the world right now, had a small, tiny, miniscule crush on the guy. She was too proud to say it, but she always got close to saying it. She, though, would never greet him with am embrace; a punch was more like it.
And this guy? He was just a nuisance, a piece of trash she could have lived without. He looked around the same age as she did, but had more muscular features and a skirt, which she had taken the nickname from. He didn't impress her in the least, and was just another person as she turned to give him what she thought would be her last words to him.
"Oh, and get yourself some pants.. Or... are you stuck in the closet?"

Wow, she was as loud as a Harpy too. But he definitely didn't appreciate the apple being knocked him his hands. Now he was even more irritated than her. Oh he wanted to draw his blade and kill her now. However, she probably wasn't worth the effort, or the blood stain on his Crimson Scourge. He just listened to her insults. Sure, it was true he was wearing a skirt, god forbid why, but he was used to the girl comments.
"I could say the same, harpy." Albel said. Oh right, she wasn't worth his time. Albel turned his back onto her. "Come greet me again when you get stronger, harpy. Then maybe you'll be worth it. He said, just as harshly, before starting to walk off into the crowd. He was almost sure she would pursue him, to get him back for calling her weak.
Though, the other least likely situation, was that she thought about it, knew she was weaker, and continued to prod over whatever she was prodding over. It didn't matter to Albel. All that matted was that he needed to restore his apple stash so he had something to eat in between of battles, travels, and the occasional Harpy that flies by.

"Stronger? Heh. You're barking up the wrong tree, girly." she said back, now turning and walking up right next to him. Of course, this made her open for attack, but she wasn't really wanting to fight him at the moment. More just taunt him until he broke down and made the first move, or stormed off. Both were likely, but the first one even more so. He looked like the fighting type.
She thought herself the stronger, as she could not die. But, she also knew she was down her other half. She was too arrogant to run away, though. She knew Kariya would tell her to cool it, to back off. He wouldn't exactly want to see her Erased or in bad condition. So, just for now, she would taunt him. It would be fun, no?
"So, what's a big, strong guy like you wearing a skirt?" she prodded, making circles on his left facial cheek with her pointer finger, floating slightly in mid-air with her wings. She wouldn't give up until she had gotten somewhere. Or, until she got bored. Whichever one came first.

So the harpy say her prey and didn't feel like letting go of her prey. Fine by him. He wasn't about to banish his sword out to some weak maggot. "I may be a military dog, but I'm not the one barking, harpy." Albel said. She was more likely to leave him alone or pick a fight with him. the civilians around them were smart to move away.
Good. There was nothing good going down with a girl with wings and a guy with a scary claw and a sword. "Big and strong you say? Are you admitting you're inferior to me now, fool?" Albel asked, a grin forming. He was rather enjoying this somewhat. It was better than being bored with nothing to do, after all. Bothering a harpy is better than eating an apple.
"Call it a military uniform." It wasn't, but he'd like to believe that. He wasn't sure why he wore these clothing. Perhaps he wanted to look like the Aquarians in a way, or mock their get up by wearing it himself. It didn't matter. "Explain your wings then, harpy? Are you human or a monster?" Perfectly logical question.

"It certainly seems you're barking. You wouldn't be talking otherwise, tee-hee!" she responded, almost relishing in the reaction she was getting. While it wasn't exactly anger that he was expressing, it was much more than the last guy she had encountered. And, to her surprise, he enjoyed this too, from the looks of it. Otherwise, why would he be talking to her?
She continued to float happily, but ended up switching sides. She watched the people leave, and a maniacal grin formed. At least those pieces of trash knew what she was about. "Oh, of course I am, sir. What can I do for you?" she sad sardonically, floating in front of him and giving a bow, grinning horrifically. This was definitely a fun little game.
"Oh, really?" she said, but it was very obvious that she didn't care. She was using it more or less to tease him, it didn't matter the answer. She gave him an annoyed face at the next question. "Of course I'm human! I'm just dead, idiot! And what about you, what's with the claw? Are you part crab?

Enjoying it was taking it too far. This amused him. The harpy floating around him like some annoying cupid was amusing. Normally he would lash his sword out but, she was not worth the stain on his sword. [color="You're talking too, fool." Albel snickered a little when she admitted her inferiority to himself. Though, he had a feeling she was sarcastic.
Only a complete and utter fool, or one who wanted to be spared their life, would admit to something like that. However, it was nice to have it admitted. Her grin was starting to irritate him, somewhat. He wanted to know what that harpy was up to, but at the same time, he didn't want to know what was inside that inferior mind of hers. But, curiosity does kill the cat.
"Dead you say? I would think you look very much alive. Care to explain the dead part, harpy?" Albel had to think about the other comment for a bit. After all, he wasn't very open about his past. "I wouldn't call this a 'crab claw'. Let's just say it makes for a wonderful defense and offense." They were pretty sharp, after all.

"Well, if I'm barking, and you're barking back, you're the fool. You're letting me tease you, though, so I'm not complaining, tee-hee!" she replied back, letting her intentions be known. While he wasn't the most amusing person to tease (that title belonged to that orange-haired brat and the cat-girl), he was up there with them. She hadn't had someone like him to tease in such a long time, it was refreshing. She thought about pulling out her gun and shooting him, then again, that would ruin the fun. She wanted him to pull the first hit.
While he was fun to play with, he was getting a bit too cocky for her tastes. Not that she wasn't cocky herself, but she wanted to see him break. In anger, in confusion, or something like that. But she couldn't hit a nerve until she got a bit of insight. She should have watched him for a while, see what his weaknesses were. The skirt wasn't the right one, she would have to give up on that. He'd have too much fun fighting her. So, what was it?
"I don't look dead, duh. But I am dead, just on the frequency that you can see me. Otherwise I would be a ghost." She didn't like explaining this to people, and especially not her prey. She poked his claw. "Looks pretty useless to me. Is it supposed to help your lack of something else?" she said coyly.

Albel knew she was trying to get on his nerves. However, if only she proved worthy, by biting instead of barking, Albel wouldn't draw his blade or attack her. It would make sense, for a man like him to bite rather than bark, but he rather not waste his strength on weaklings. Why stain the Crimson Scourge with the blood of a weakling? It made no sense to him.
Albel snickered. She thought it was useless, eh? "I'm not missing a limb, if that's what you mean, harpy. However, even if it were, it wouldn't make a difference." His severely burned arm was basically useless - exposing it to air too much hurt his arm a lot, as if the burn was still fresh. It didn't make sense to a lot of people, so Albel hardly explained it to anyone who asked.
"Hardly useless." He responded. They approached a nearby wall as Albel let his claw grab ahold of it, as it slid, screeching it's way across it, leaving a small groove on the wall. When he was done, the claw still looked like as it was before hitting the wall. "It has a close combat advantage, you could say."

"Hm... well. That's still useless to me." she huffed, still poking at it. He was getting more irritating by the second, but for some reason, that was the best thing she could have at the moment. A smile crept upwards on her face, her eyebrows raised with excitement. Now she moved to his hair, floating just above him so she could start making braids out of his hair.
If this didn't get on his nerves, she would be completely surprised. She did this with Kariya sometimes, but of course he flew off. This specimen, however, couldn't do that. So she tugged playfully at his hair, just waiting for the reaction. Wonder how long it would take him now to be bothered. With her other hand, she toyed with her gun out of his eyesight, if he decided to make that arm useful at all.

She was certainly a harpy - she had the screeching mouth as one and also the annoyance level of one. She was starting to brain his hair. How did she manage that, when his hair was so short, despite the two long strands of hair was questionable. However, it was irritating that pushed him over the edge. He decided that it was time to stop this once and for all.
"try this on for useless." He striked, almost lightning fast at her. However, since she wore so few clothing, he managed to see her gun. If she retrieved it, his arm would be perfect for shielding himself from the bullet. "You were asking to play so nicely - how could I not respond to such annoyance?"
The people that weren't bright enough to stay away from these two now darted away from the two. A dance between these two was about to happen, and it wasn't a nice, slow dance, to melodic music, but a chaotic dance, where the only music in their ears would be each others grunts and cries of pain. Albel may not like attacking weaklings, but this harpy made him snap and change his mind.
