Memories of a destiny (Kairi)

[Ouranus Nova]

Today seemed to be a day of relaxing for Ouranus. Though she had been exploring much of the continent, she had always seemed to return back to this spot. For some reason the ocean brought a sense of calm in her soul. Maybe being on land for such a long time made her wish to see what was in the sea or in the air. But she had found herself once again in a contemplative state. As she looked out into the ocean, her hand was holding tight a silver object. In her family there were two heirlooms, the Nova blade and the crest of Abadon. They were passed down through the family from the head to the one who had been proven worthy. Now she had the heirlooms, she began to think about what it was meant to be Abadon. She heard stories about him, but things were much more different now than before the Cataclysm.

Kairi really didn't get the chance to explore new places that much. When she did go to new places it was only because she was being chased or kidnapped. So, some time to relax and explore was what she wanted. This land was very new to her, but she loved the weather. Destiny Islands was always so sunny, which wasn't really a bad thing but she wanted change. The mist here was really nice. This was a different view of the ocean and she made a promise to herself that she would come back sometime. The ocean always brought a sense of calm and relaxation to her. Whenever she had to think about something, she would always end up near the water.

Kairi was about to sit down when she noticed a person not too far from her. Curiosity always got the better of her in many cases and it seemed that it would today too. The person was a lady and she was holding something in her hand. Her face seemed to show that she was deep in thought. Kairi aproached the person from behind. "Hey, whatcha' doing?" Kairi curiously asked. "My name's Kairi." she smiled. She wanted to take a seat next to the person, but waited respectfully to see how the lady would act.

"Hm?"

Ouranus snapped out of her mind as she turned to look at the girl speaking to her. At first she didn't say anything. But she did look like she had a contemplative nature as she looked at the new arrival's clothing. Going back through her mind, she remembered back when she encountered Leblanc as she nodded her head. She was sure that this one wasn't wearing a dress sphere. Her golden eyes shined brightly as she shook Kairi's hand. "It is nice to meet you, my name is Ouranus Nova." As she spoke, she still had the silver crest in the palm of her hand. It was much more visible this time around. The crest had the family's coat of arms with the clenched fist and a pair of blades crossed behind it. As she turned it over, there seemed to be a pair of small pieces that seemed to connect somewhere. "I'm guessing you are not around here as well. If you don't mind me asking, where are you from?"

Kairi was happy that the lady seemed to be nice and approachable. The lady didn't say anything to her, but she didn't tell her off either. Kairi was a bit confused as to why the person was looking at her clothes oddly. She figured it made a little sense since she wasn't from the island. Kairi broke out into a big smile when the person brightly greeted her. "It's nice to meet you Ouranus. I'm not really from here. I'm just exploring a little bit." Kairi explained. Kairi decided to take a seat next to Ouranus after the warm welcome. Her eyes were able to get a better look at what Ouranus was holding. It seemed to be some sort of crest. It was really awesome. "That's cool." Kairi commented motioning towards Ouranus' hand. Kairi did expect the question and didn't see any reason to hold back. "Well, I'm from a world known as Destiny Islands. It's really nice." Kairi explained. Technically Kairi wasn't born there, but she always considered Destiny Islands her true home.

Hm, another explorer...

It is rare to see another explorer for her. She had only met a handful of people, But she had not seen many explorers though. In either case, Kairi didn't seem like she was going to cause problems. If anything, she did bring out more of an inquisitive mind in Ouranus. Her golden eyes showed a bright light as she took out her journal again and found a blank page in her book. Grabbing her writing implement, she jotted down the name Destiny Islands as she smiled happily at the thought of a new land. "Is your land close by?" She had never seen an island before, but she had a feeling that it could be close by considering how many worlds had been merged into one very large continent. As she looked at the paper, she had her crest resting in her book to serve as a temporary bookmark. "I've been making notes about the new lands I hear about."
