Scara was sullen. She sat on a rock, looking down at the water, staring at herself. On her lap were her weapons, the double crescent blades. Scara sighed, shivering her entire body. Her mind shot images of what she had seen only a few hours ago. She was in a cave, the name escaped her, but she remembered it well - it was the place where her friend crystalized.
She was a l'Cie. Scara knew it wasn't the best but...she had to find her. Find her she did. The blueish tint of the white crystal stared at her like a reminder to her of her pain. Her friend's face, no longer with color, stared at her. With this moment, she finally found all of her memories. Akira Valice. Akira...Scara cried on that crystal just hours ago.
Scara still had not recovered from that time. However, her time was nearing when she would join her. She had the feeling she would. A wisp of wind flowed onto her as, behind her, a white claw formed. "It's starting soon, isn't it...Vento..." Scara murmured. 'Be strong for when it does, Scara.'
The claw was gone as Scara jumped off the rock, splashing into the water. She had friends now, and she had a resolve. She spent this much time searching for her memories and she had finally found them, and her best friend Akira. It was time to become a l'Cie. It was time to do her Focus upon which she did not know. 'Scara. Your fate is sealed, yet you continue on. However, your fate may be different than you think.'
Scara blinked at the voice in her head. What did it mean?

put to rest what you thought of me while i clean this slate with the hands of uncertainty | [cs=4][bg=DCDCDC][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=padding,2px,true] Silence rung through the area, one that Genesis didn’t find a good kind of silence, but it was almost comforting… Comforting to know that the silence everywhere in these distorted worlds were all the same, the same type of silence, the fact that they just felt the same. But still, he didn’t expect his mind to be silent, too, having spent time connected to the Lifestream where he would constantly hear whispers and trickling ‘water’ and crying babies and the elderly telling stories, as well as calming songs and poetry. He had spent a long time hearing things, faintly, but there in his mind. He knew everything around him in the underground cave was silent, save from visits he received from odd creatures and trickling water, but he always had something whispering faintly in his mind… like the volume of a television down by mute but you could still hear it, or perhaps in the madness of war when your hearing goes deaf and you can hear people screaming but it sounded like it was two miles away.
The silence shattered like glass on hard concrete ground when the redhead’s head snapped up at the sound of a splash of water. He frowned slightly, and changed his course to the sound, stepping slowly over the rocky ground and refusing to step into the water, instead jumping over it to get to the other side. Genesis was not fond of water. Though it was relaxing to watch, to bathe in, to lie in, violent waters frightened him. It was perhaps only natural for the redhead was of the element of fire – perhaps air – and fire was easily doused by water.
And there, standing in the water, was a young girl, perhaps of about fifteen years old, with brown hair. She looked almost worried, but more contemplating… The ex-SOLDIER frowned to himself, gently stepping over a small ditch as he made his way up to her, from behind. He stopped some way behind her, to the side of a rock, flicking his hair as he made himself known.
“When the world is silent, it is the perfect time to contemplate things, yet not so when it feels like the calm before the storm,” He poetically said, placing a hand on his hip as he rested his weight on one leg, eyelids shutting over bright Mako blue eyes for a moment as he blinked. “Greetings, ma’am. I hope that you are fine?” But his tone carried one of that he was ready to help or to comfort, in case she wasn’t, as he could feel anxiety about her.

Scara wasn't prepared for the other man's voice at all, caught completely off guard as she nearly tripped into the water. Wearing a white dress, it wasn't the best idea to go tripping into water, nor splashing into water, for the bottom of her dress was already very damp. She turned to the man, tilting her head. He was very interesting and had a nice choice of words.
Scara wasn't sure if she ever heard such poetry before in actual spoken word before. Though, Scara realized she was staring and quickly started to speak. "Oh! I-I'm sorry mister...I didn't see you there." Scara said. Scara nodded. "I'll be okay for now. I was just...visiting someone I hadn't seen for a long time."
She wasn't lying. She hadn't seen Akira in a while, but she certainly didn't want to see Akira in the crystallized state that she was. Scara slowly waded out of the water so she was closer to the man, and no in the water at the same time. She looked up to him and smiled. Her anxiety was going down because she accepted her fate - or her believed fate.

put to rest what you thought of me while i clean this slate with the hands of uncertainty | [cs=4][bg=DCDCDC][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=padding,2px,true] The stare made him uncomfortable, but he refused to let it show on his figure and instead closed his eyes again for a moment; at least until she started speaking. Genesis opened his eyes again, his eyebrows shaped in a small ‘v’ shape as he frowned slightly. “You seem anxious, though. I won’t push,” He smiled softly at the girl, relaxing his posture as he flicked his hair out of his face, nodding to her.
“I hope your friend finds hope in her slumbers,” The redhead told her, seemingly knowing of the ‘someone’ she had visited… supposedly. In truth, he didn’t know of l’Cie at all, but he heard of them on a visit to some odd place called Cocoon – it reminded him slightly of Midgar, just more high-tech. He blinked slowly, watching the brown eyed female step out of the water and closer to him, and he smiled at her. He didn’t know why he felt smiley today… natural smiles, not those faux smiles he had to pull for the posters back when he was a SOLDIER. Perhaps it was because he had hope and believed that he would be able to redeem himself of his sins.
“My name is Genesis Rhapsodos,” he reached a hand out to shake her hand, “Your name is~?” The soft purr echoed slightly in his voice as he cast blue optics about the area they were in, fixing it on the river, a frown – gentle – on his face as he stared at the water for a moment. Was it just him, or was there a slight green hue to the stream water? It couldn’t be the Lifestream.
The Lifestream resided on Gaia. It circled the whole planet, however, it, oddly, had disappeared a while after he woke from his slumber. For one, he couldn’t feel its ethereal presence in Midgar, he couldn’t feel it anywhere. It felt as though someone had taken it and erased it from existence… but he could still feel the presence of the Goddess… who was the physical manifestation of the Lifestream… which meant that he could feel the stream of life, which meant it still existed, meaning that it still worked, but it was weakened… or something along those lines. It confused the redhead greatly.

Scara blinked at him when he said she seemed a bit anxious. "Well...she's stuck in a crystal. The last time I saw her was before her crystallization and no to see her again in her crystallized form it was...heart breaking." If Scara had not used up all her tears those mere hours ago, she would have cried now.
Scara was surprised at Genesis for...almost seemingly to know who she was talking about. Maybe the tone of voice made it sound like she was visiting her grave but...Vanille came out of her crystallization so that meant Akira could as well. Scara shook her head. "She's not the type to wish on hope. She's more of a 'I know it'll happen' sort of person. No room for hope when you've got confidence...that's what she told me once."
Akira hoped before, and that hope got her nothing. When she stopped relying on hope and did things herself, they got done. Scara smiled back at him. She often caused smiles - almost as if her smiles were contagious. She took the outstretched hand and shook it. "My name's Scara. It's nice to meet you, Genesis."
She was confusion in his eyes and tilted her head. "Is something wrong, Genesis?"

put to rest what you thought of me while i clean this slate with the hands of uncertainty | [cs=4][bg=DCDCDC][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=padding,2px,true] Crystal? That was an… odd thing. He had never heard of someone being encased in crystal, other than Lucrecia Crescent. She was Sephiroth’s birth mother, and was injected with Jenova cells, like the fetus inside her. Eventually, after giving birth to Sephiroth, she deserted Shinra and Professor Hojo, ending up, somehow, at the Crystal Cave. Now, Genesis had never actually met the women or even gone to visit her, but Deepground had given him information on her… current status. When he himself went rogue, he had also looked up the origins of Sephiroth, and found that out.
He nodded to Scara as she introduced herself, “It’s nice to meet you too, Scara.” Genesis realised that she had noticed the confusion in his eyes. What had he been thinking about? “It’s nothing, really. I was just thinking about the… worldwide problem,” He frowned. Why did it happen? Whatever it was, he had this distinct idea that it wasn’t good at all. “You might’ve heard of it. Worlds colliding together to make… this world. My own world was part of it, and all that is left is Midgar and Costa Del Sol… though it’s now Costa Del Besaid,” Genesis looked thoughtful again.
Though Midgar had been one of the places of the Planet that had been moved here, there were gaps in the city. Some parts of it were just voids of space, and people kept away from those. Genesis did, too, but he was going to investigate it sooner or later… but safely. He didn’t want to drop himself down into there and suddenly be erased from existence or hurt – Goddess’s protection or not, it didn’t seem a good idea at all. It was like sticking your finger in some random liquid in Professor Hojo’s laboratory.

Scara nodded when he asked about if she knew the world wide problem. "Yes I know of it." She said. How could she have not? But Genesis could've have known about how she traveled to worlds and worlds and saw many things. Also, she had been blasted from her original home and had to find it again but Genesis couldn't have known that either.
However, he mentioned a few places but only one was familiar - Besaid. "I was taken from my home when the Calamity happened and took me there. It was a nice place but I didn't know that two places...combined with each other." That was interesting news! But...Scara did look sad that the other places of his world didn't make it.
"Maybe the other places are still where they were? Or perhaps, on another planet?" Scara suggested. Scara didn't want to imagine hoards of people...vanishing and only Midgar and Costa del Sol, well Costa Del Besaid, surviving. It was a horrible thing to think and Scara would only hope the other part of his worlds were around somewhere...
