i'll post cid raines's sub-ability at a later time, when i've thought of one. (: anyway, willing to change this one. personally i think the cooldown is too long or too short, but then again i just woke up. xD
SERAPHIC RAY :: [ PASSIVE -> ACTIVE ] :: Confused at how he managed to keep this ability, due to not being a l'Cie any more, Cid Raines can activate this ability at least three posts into a battle. Three pairs of ghostly silver blue wings will appear on the man's back while a light emanates from him, signalling that he is charging his ability. During this time he may still attack [ with all attacks growing in power by one level ]. The light will last for three posts, growing brighter with each post. On the fourth post the area will turn white for a few moments, removing all opponents' buffs and his side's debuffs, granting Raines Bravery and Haste. This deals significant damage to all enemies.
- This can only be activated three posts into a battle.
- The ability takes three posts to charge and the attack is on the fourth.
- During the charge all physical abilities deal one level higher of damage, so moderate would deal heavy, heavy to significant, etc, but this is only ONE boost, so moderate will never get to heavy.
- On the fourth post, debuffs are removed from Cid and allies, and all buffs are removed from his enemies. Cid is also granted Haste and Bravery for three posts.
- Seraphic Ray also deals significant non-elemental damage to all enemies.
- This has a seven post cooldown.
OH AND HERE'S HIS ITEM 8U
ZEPHYR BROOCH :: A silver brooch crafted in the shape of an eagle, the Zephyr Brooch finds itself clipped on Cid's uniform or even as a necklace on a chain around his neck, or perhaps even on a belt loop on his hip! When the item is used, a soft sky blue glow will surround Raines and stay there until the effects it gives fade. The glow is, in fact, a shield that will decrease physical damage by 10% and magical damage by 5%, also granting Cid the regen status if he's below 40% health, and allows him an extra action on the post he activates it in.
- It has a duration of three posts.
- Decreases physical damage by 10% and magical damage by 5%, granting Regen if below 40% health and allows an extra action in the post it is activated in.
- It has a five post cooldown.

Ok Cid I shall be looking over your abilities today........
first off SERAPHIC RAY- first off is the physical damage increase one level total for the duration or is it one level boost per turn for duration of buff? (meaning is it +1 for the duration or is it +1, then +2 and so on) it sounds to me like its just a single boost for the duration but I would like some clarification. Secondly I think that the cooldown might be a little long myself, I think that a 7 to 8 post cooldown would be sufficient.
next your brooch: I personally see nothing wrong here nice buff with a decent duration and an adequate cooldown

BASICALLY for seraphic ray, during the charge buff, physical attacks will deal one level higher, as in, say cid used ruin on an enemy, it would deal heavy damage instead of moderate, and it won't boost any higher than one level, so ruin can never do significant damage or whatever level comes after heavy. is that what you mean? xD;
and i'll change the cooldown to seven posts (:
