So, Im a huge biology buff, not only that but I love space too. So when i watched this special on TV from Wild Case Files, I was really intrigued and did some research! So, yeah here's what I found on that special and on some science sites in the Internet.
Basically, in a small village in India, one day they had a thunderstorm, but they heard "Thunder unlike anything they'd ever heard before" which could have been better described as a sonic boom. After that initial "thunder" it began to rain as it would with all storms, except the rain was blood red.
This got international attention for sure, and an astro-biologist and a few other scientists got together and looked at the water, and analyzed it. Apparently the red particles in the water would settle out as dust or ash would do, but upon further testing, these red particles were actual cells.
Cells, from space was the theory because upon testing these cells, they weren't showing up for DNA as organisms from micro to macro on earth would test positive for. Which meant the sonic boom that the people heard in the village was probably some form of meteor/comet burning up in the atmosphere, and said space rock dropped these cells onto the earth.
Considering early theories that all life came from inorganic materials/very simple cells, I just kinda found it sort of interesting.

I've heard similar.
A documentary we watched in Biology, which all of my classmates thought was complete bogus for the record, actually pointed to offworld comets being the original source of life - that carbon came into the atmosphere via shrapnel from other planets.
That said, the idea that meteors or comets or asteroids from other terraforme can carry small, living molecules has been something that scientists have been studying for years. Judging by the previous studies they have done into the concept, it's likely that they are a type of "space cell" that existed inside of the extraterrestrial shrapnel that disintegrated above the village.
So yeah. however strange it might sound, the theory is consistent with all the other evidence they have been finding as of late. That's really cool that you found that, Fang.
