Here, there was no mourning. Instead, there was much joy...joy that the war had ended. Everyone seemed to be in a festive mood and were clearly open for strangers such as he. He had gathered some information before entering Archades (which, he would do normally but appearing in Alexandria was not his doing). Though there, he met an old 'friend'. So, it was worth it appearing in such a place. However, now that he was gaining his knowledge bank back, he had a little cash to spend. Actually, a 'little' was a bit of an understatement. Silvine was smart enough to find the rich folks, the greedy ones, and have them literally pay for his information. Politics was another area Silvine was good at. No war started over a course of a day. No, it was all politically decided. Thus, Silvine had to be on top of those issues as well. However, without meeting those in charge, he couldn't get the information he wanted. It quite frustrated the man, but he was smart enough not to barge into the castle, demanding Larsa or Kuja for information. At least, not if he wanted to be beheaded. So on he went, gathering information without event he need for a change of wardrobe; he was obviously not cocoonian so the people seemed to have not a care in the world for strangers. Stark contrast to what he had heard and read but, however, Silvine knew that society was ever fluid and always changing. This would be a prime example. On he went, but he seemed to have caught the eye of certain people, it seemed. No matter how careful Silvine was, his name was starting to spread, and it was in this that Silvine frowned at. He could have stopped, but the information was worth it. He needed to know more about Archades and he couldn't afford to linger forever here, especially if he was becoming known. It was then that he noticed that soldiers were interested in him. What would soldiers need from him? He didn't have the slightest idea. But customers were customers...but it gave him quite an ingenious idea. "For the cost, I'd request a messenger bird of sorts. One that can fly and is fairly small." This would work well; Silvine could have asked him to allow him to see Larsa but that straightforwardness would instantly gain him suspicion. If there was something the tactician didn't need, it certainly was being surrounded by armed soldiers. He seemed skeptical, so Silvine decided he needed to explain further. "I cannot travel as you can and as fast and messages are sometimes of utter importance. If you fear I will cheat you, I will provide half of the information you seek and half later when the price has been received." That was quite a while since he had to talk in such great lengths, but it was necessary. Instantly, any doubt that Silvine was lying or trying to cheat him and his reasonings were gone and the soldier eagarly listened to what he wanted to hear, went off, and came back with the said messenger bird. Quite a fine one too (for he was used to messenger birds of any type) and knew it would be fairly easy to slip a note to Larsa. After all who wanted to see him had gone, he walked away from his current position to a more quiet and secluded area, which the messenger bird perched on his shoulder. It was loyal already. After finding the place, Silvine sat himself down and opened the bag he carried with him. Placing the book next to him, he took out a neat, clean piece of paper and a parcel to write with (he needed to write occasionally after all). Once his message was done, he rolled the piece neatly and allowed the bird to perch on his finger as he let it down on the table he was using. He then took a piece of string (for he just seemed too prepared for this) and tied it to the bird's leg. "Larsa Ferrinas Solidor is you target person. He is the Emperor of Archades, and a boy of 12 years old." The bird seemed to understand him as it took off. Minutes later, the single bird reached the palace of Archades and perched by a window, peering inside for anyone who fit the description of the man Silvine spoke off. He was quite an intelligent bird after all. He did this a few times until he found the boy. Pecking at the window, which was closed at the time, the bird hoped that the sharp sound and unusual scene would cause the boy to lift the window and receive the message wrapped around his leg. On the message, it read: Dear Larsa Ferrinas Solidor, Emperor of Archades, I will be frank with you. I am neither an ally nor enemy, only a neutral person whom you may find use for. I have arrived in your grand city only hours before sending you this message. I have seen and heard many things and learned much. My name is Silvine Vilani, a wandering tactician with vast knowledge of war and information that others find hard to obtain. I have an understanding that Alexandria has no love for his city and have arrived there weeks ago but have gained vital information that may be of use to you. If you do not wish to contact me at all, that is your choice. I offer my services to all who need them, for a price. I just thought a man like you would may want something I have knowledge of. If you choose to contact me, I will be 100 paces from the palace entrance so you do not have to travel far if you wish to greet me yourself, or not too far if I may be greeted by a soldier. I will remain where I have specified for half an hour. If I receive no reply from anyone, I will assume that you have no interest in me. If you are busy, which is understandable, I can return another time. A signature was placed at the bottom signed 'Silvine Vilani'.
