It was her second day back "home". It had been uncomfortable to stay in the house which she'd once lived a life in... to know that you were the only one left was no measure of hope. Brooding wasn't especially in her nature... but the town she'd once known was a lot emptier than she remembered it, no matter how much it looked like it was before the war. But idleness tended to drive anyone to reflection. It was hard to think up happier times -- replaying the history of her life was so difficult to enjoy when the end result brought her to where she was right now. And no matter what, the fact that she was alive was difficult to count as a blessing... if so much time had passed between her reawakening and her apparent death then her long rest must have brought her peace.
But bitterness and depression wasn't what clouded her thoughts. As she stood on the balcony of the place she'd once called home, her eyes found its target beyond the town's bridge. There in the distant sky, the giant nest of vipers remained. Little more than a crack upon its surface, the devils within no doubt scheming their next act of treachery. Her fingers wrapped around the metal rail... as the thought stirred, so did her anger. To have sacrificed so much and to see that that cesspool was still there to obscure the afternoon sky? It cost a piece of her each time the thought made its rounds. Maybe it had been staying here which drove her to those thoughts.... idleness never say well with the young woman. In her teens she'd always been adventurous -- willing to explore a great many things. Growing up a little had lead her to the love of her life... and a beautiful future in her baby girl.
The rail recoiled within her fist. It was the only sign of visible anger to her aside from her tense shoulders while looking at that distant sky. Oh... how it was so very difficult to simply remain... to stick with those who were rebuilding their lives, he quietly questioned whether they even valued what they'd lost anymore. The pistol resting at her hip was practically begging for the squeeze of her grip, a pull of her finger. Oh, how the hate burned. And all it would take was a single hug to brink her to tears. She was alone in this world.... dead, but among the living, hate fueled by restlessness she was as every bit cursed as any form of undead she'd ever faced before her entire life.
She didn't question how she summoned the will to tear her eyes away. Or perhaps it was that distant figure she found familiar, her featured hidden by the mid-afternoon glare that cast shadows his way...
"It can't be..."

Fang was sitting high on the rooftop of one of the old buildings within Oerba. Children below her laughed and played as if it was back in the old days back when she grew up. It lead Fang to reflect on herself, the huntress looked different, and even felt different in many ways. Scars now marred her body, from a war fought against Cocoon, and against this new threat made from the Calamity. Off an on her abdomen burned in protest when she moved in a certain manner, but it was never anything serious.. or rather to serious. Fang grunted slightly as she stood up, the kids looking at her, waving and laughing. Fang grinned back, it seems time had softened the adventerous child's heart.
The kids waved at her, Fang was unaware of the ghost of her past that was now awake and wandering through Oerba. Her mind was on other things, like the scars she now sported from that tournament, scars she wore as a reminder of what she almost did, what the Calamity.. Bahamut almost did.. It frustrated her, and it honestly made her unable to find the strength to even face her friend again. Not after that, especially not after that..The kids seemed to notice her discontent and moved their game elsewhere as she jumped from the roof to the ground to walk and such, to try to remove the thoughts in her mind. Her steps were methodical, Bahamut could feel her thoughts and seemed to pull himself away from her.
Fang walked and walked and walked, that was until she heard a voice not to far up ahead.
"It can't be..."
Her head snapped up. "No way.." She said quietly as she picked up her pace. She knew that voice, she knew it well. The woman who was her first love, and the woman she learned about herself and about people from.. If this was who she hoped and thouhgt it was, it'd be one helluva a reunion.. But then again, her abdomen twinged in protest. She stopped and gripped the railing beside her as she looked to her old friend. "Lina?" She said quietly, almost to herself but more in disbelief.. The last time she saw the other woman was the night before she left as a l'cie fated to become ragnarok and end the war of Transgression which took everything from her, and from so many other people...
People like Lina..

War has many victims. Great and small. Even those who didn't want a part of it... but when two people just couldn't leave each other be, disaster always followed. You pay the price whether you like it or not and always -- always, blood would be shed. But the true victim of war was never those who were caught in it. Rather, it was that spark which drove people to want to live... another day, a better tomorrow. Their identities were compromised and for some? That price had already been paid. Lina was such a person. But you couldn't blame her -- not after everything she'd seen... and everything she'd lost. More than most, she just couldn't see it in herself to move on; that hallowed, empty feeling where the world had left you behind. "Tomorrow" was such an alien idea.
Life was a cruelty where bitter memories were replayed. And that distant thing in the sky? A constant reminder of a failure. That people died... and Cocoon had won -- rebuilding itself, that cracked planet even took the temple from which Anima had been held. That they were able to take so freely from Gran Pulse? It was an insult which couldn't stand. And right now she even wondered what else they might have taken when the worlds merged. But she was a soldier; she knew her role... you report to the brass, let them get a sense of the entire picture and that's something she just didn't have. She couldn't say it for sure... but wouldn't have been surprised if that was the case... either way? A destroyed Cocoon would have done many people a service.
Her eyes widened in sudden recognition. "Fang!" she gasped in surprise. It was more of a sigh than anything else. But she made the motions, jumped over the railing and took the steps. She caught her in a tight hug. With an arm wrapped around her waist, Lina held her close. A part of her suddenly glad to see a more familiar face and for a moment -- just a moment, a pleasant memory won out. As she pressed her nose into her past lover's hair, she couldn't help but feel like it had been such a long time. And yet... in reality, from her point of view, it had practically been only a week. "I'm glad you kept your hair long. Wouldn't do if I couldn't run my hand through 'em, eh?"

"Fang!"
The familiar voice, it washed over her and brought back emotions and memories she long thought were dead and gone were coming back and they came back like a pile of bricks.. and each one hit her square in the chest. She drew in a breath, remembering and just thinking about everything that had happened in this very village, how she grew up, not only beside Vanille.. but beside this very woman who taught her who she is as a person, and taught her to be strong, but how to be gentle as well. Fang vividly remembered Lina's daughter, Fang had sworn to end the war for that very little girl and had failed. That failure was always reminded to her with that burned out L'Cie mark that branded her shoulder forever.
She felt the arms wrap around her, the close familiar contact so comforting to the woman who had spent her time very much alone for the most part. It was foreign in a way, and yet it felt good. Perhaps it was the loneliness speaking but whatever, it didn't matter now. Fang couldnt bear to face Lightning again, not after what she had almost done, and what she had tried to do. Ragnarok lived within her, she was still the monster that people knew her as, and yet much of her was human. All of her was human. But Ragnarok slept within her, waking when Bahamut told it to. Fang returned the hug, wrapping her arms about the waist of the soldier, her head resting in the crook of Lina's neck. It was.. it was like the old days all over again.. in many ways her heart throbbed with the longing of an old flame..
"I'm glad you kept your hair long. Wouldn't do if I couldn't run my hand through 'em, eh?"
Fang gave a low chuckle, her smile evident as she looked back up at Lina. She was a beautiful woman, so very beautiful compared to so many others she'd seen and met throughout her time. "Mmm, Glad I kept it long too, People would think I was a man otherwise." she laughed dryly. It was true, Fang did more of the things a man would be the one to do in a household than that of a woman's work. Fang had provided for the entire village for years, bringing home whole behemoths for the orphanage, and sometimes even a behemoth king for the village during festivals. Fang briefly tightened her hold on Lina, almost thinking this was just a dream and Lina would disappear as soon as she let go. "Kept it long for you too Sweetheart, I always knew you liked it that way."
Yes Fang was a shameless flirt, but hey. Lina was an old flame so it was okay... right?

How nostalgic. It had been such a long time since she remembered their time together in the orphanage, a girl with messy hair trying to be what she thought was beautiful. Lina had been two years older and their relationship back in the day was what you'd expect... older kids looking out for the younger ones. She always tried to show Fang that her hair made her look wild and impassioned... how it meant that nothing could ever hold her down and that she shouldn't have done so either. To this day, she couldn't remember of any time Fang had ever doubted her abilities or her own beauty. It must have stuck. That, and her hair style.
"There mustn't be any men left in the world, then." she commented flatly, a smile tugging at her lips as she ran her fingers through her hair. Of course she never thought of Fang as a man; she was a strong woman. That didn't mean she wasn't beautiful; and that had been another thing she'd had to teach her when they were growing up. And then there was that sensuality, a trait which they'd refined when they had a moment to themselves. But even now as she embraced Fang, she wasn't prepared to let go, just standing there with the other woman tightly in her arms, hands stroking through her hair. It was an appealing thought to just relax and pet her all day long.
"That's not the only thing I liked." she said coyly never one to rebuke her advances. Of course she knew Fang was flirt -- probably her fault, as well. It had been the same when her husband was still alive... and oddly, that thought never occurred to her, which was a good thing... she wouldn't of wanted to have felt that pang of hate again. Not now, at least... while Fang was in her arms after it felt like forever. "I wonder if you remember." she mused, pulling away albeit reluctantly as she kept Fang close. Her hands rested on Fang's own as their fingers intertwined.

"There mustn't be any men left in the world, then."
Fang let out a low chuckle her eyes glittering in amusement. God, did she ever miss this woman. Fang let loose around her, and could be herself without regret, with Lightning, she still needed to be guarded about herself, and careful about what she said. They were two opposites, whereas herself and this woman in front of her.. it was like the other half of her heart was put back in place, she felt better than she had in years. Even if many of those years were spent in crystal stasis. Fang sighed and then looked to Lina, she noted just how bright the woman's jade eyes were in front of her. Lina had lost everything in the war.. to see her this way was something rare.. she'd make the moment last as long as she could.
"No real men left. None o' 'em stand up to take care o' this place. I'm still haulin' behemoths in like I did back then.." she murmured with a grin. Fang had to prove herself as a huntres and at sixteen she went out alone with only elders of the village to accompany and witness her first hunt. Fang had slain the Behemoth King that terrorized the plains of Gran Pulse alone. Perhaps that was the first clue as to why she had become the vessel of Ragnarok's soul. She was strong and capable as a woman, she was stronger than most people. She watched her original family get slaughtered, and her village burn when she ran across the plains into the mountains and to Oerba. The eight year old girl was strong from birth, and it showed.
"That's not the only thing I liked. I wonder if you remember."
Fang grinned, a signature toothed smile that made her live up to the name she had been given. Her eyes glittered as their fingers intertwined, even though she had pulled away Fang closed the distance once more, grazing her lips across those of the soldier. She smirked. "I think I do" she pulled away again, turning as people stared at the two reuniting friends with grins, and laughs as they walked. Kids looked on curiously, quite innocently they asked their parents or friends what was going on between the two women. It was cute even, and to be honest, despite Oerba not being the busy place it had been before, Fang still considered it home, or at least somewhat of a home.
Lina only made it feel more like home again to her.

Fang was ever the huntress. The kids at the orphanage always ate well with her around and at the festivals a hot cut of King Behemoth steak would make anyone content. It went without saying that Lina missed her. Truth be told she couldn't really relate to Fang's association with Lightning; in truth she'd of likely shot the woman on the spot just for being from Cocoon. And that would have been a definite course of action had she been wearing that familiar looking uniform. Still, her life otherwise consisted of knowing others within Oerba... she never really found too much need to look to the other towns. All she needed was right here and the wilderness for when she needed to eat. You usually got along with everyone else -- you were closer to some than you were to others... and beyond that she had little other experience save the war with Cocoon and the recent encounters with travelers on her way here.
With their fingers were entwined, she watched as Fang stepped in close, lips grazing against hers and for that moment, she was reminded herself why she loved her lips. Truthfully, the things she liked about Fang didn't stop there but she had no intention of making her sweet friend grind up against her all day as appealing as it might have sounded. And, honestly, she wasn't quite in that mood even if she did enjoy it. But as strands of hair fell to cover that side of her face, she smiled and licked her lips. "Mmm. Still tasty." she cheered quietly. Stepping close as she was pressed up completely against Fang, pressing past her cheek and jaw, nestling her nose a midst her friend's hair. Lina was always the type to assert herself. When it came to Fang, she usually got what she wanted.
And did as she pleased. But their sweet reunion was a relief... others had taken to watching them get together rather intimately for such a casual meeting. But that's simply how it was for her... she'd always been rather comfortable around her dear old flame. She breathed softly and nudged her Fang's hair away from her ear, angling carefully so as not to let others see as she took the top of Fang's ear into her lips, teething it gently as she whispered words meant for her ears alone. "I wonder if you've still got that touch." she teased, pulling away as she grinned, their hands still entwined as she pulled Fang with her. "It feels like it's been forever, don't cha' think?" she asked as they walked along rather casually, her hand still very much tangled in Fang's own.

"Mmm. Still tasty."
Fang let out a low purr of amusement. Fang had many quirks when she was with someone who was.. quite blatantly attracted to and she knew liked her back. Her eyes reflected that amusement when her toothed grin returning and the grip upon her hand briefly tightening at the words. The woman knew how to send chills down her spine and knew just how to word something to get Fang to react a certain way. She was the only person who knew Fang as intimately as she knew herself. It was.. it was nice to have someone there, and the suppressed feelings of the past few months of trying to find someone who she could really identify with, without ending up in a near fist fight. It was hard though to identify with anyone. Fang was different, she always would be.
"Heh, and yer still heaven to me." she replied lowly in a voice that was for her ears alone. That was until she was pulled into the woman, and suddenly ther were close again, this however, this felt different than the hug the sudden level of intimacy to Fang at least had risen, as she felt the woman do something she always knew would drive her wild, and seemed always know when to imploy those techniques to life around Fang. As she teethed the top of her ear and earned a low growl out of Fang as she seemingly wordlessly egged the people to leave before something did happen and the children's minds were scarred for life. After all, some of the things that were now running through Fang's mind were more suited to be spoken behind closed doors. But in a quick reaction to it, she ran a single finger down the other woman's spine.
If she wanted to play this game, Fang would play alright.
"I wonder if you've still got that touch. It feels like it's been forever, don't cha' think?"
"Its way to long eh? Ya must'a missed me quite a bit with how yer actin' right now." Fang shot her a coy look, a grin spreading across her features once more. There was something about Lina that set Fang off, and well.. that lack of physicality in her life for almost a year now was starting to wear on her, as it would wear on anyone. Especially since Fang was a naturally physical person, having been raised in such a communal environment, hugs and whatnot were very common in their every day lives. And what Fang had learned from Cocoon, Pulsians were a far more romantic sort. Many of them spent most of their day with their significant other, and dedicated it to their love life. Family and love was important in the village before and it hadn't changed now.

Lina had learned that during the war. For Pulsians, using each other as an excuse to do anything was inconceivable. It was all about the community. Even having a love life didn't affect just you... your children would grow up learning to love the same way you did and comparing their life in the orphanage to that of one in Cocoon? It would have been much different. It wasn't some place full of gloom... just a bigger house with a large family. The War of Transgression was for the sake of making the vipers of Cocoon stop taking away from their people. No matter if they invaded... it was their theft that had transgressed upon Pulse. But the war was... thankfully, out of her thoughts right now. Its horrors and casualties and the long depressing thoughts with its chain of hatred would leave her be for now.
For in the moment, Fang was at the forefront of her thoughts. Clothes were the only thing that separated them and even here in public she had half the mind to change all that. But even before the war and even after getting married, Lina did more than simply flirt with Fang... drove her husband wild knowing they did something behind closed doors without him getting any of the juicy details. And he wasn't against it, either... such was the great guy she'd chosen to be her life partner. But if there was ever one thing that could be said about Lina when it came to Fang... it was how she absolutely loved egging her on. It was always the right words or the subtle gesture... the smallest things that she could do to make her think about what was coming days in advance. But beyond that? How she felt about her romantically? The feelings were definitely there.
There was always something about Fang that made her want to... play with her. "That's right, Fang. I did miss you." she teased, gently nudging her in a direction away from so many eyes. She wrapped her arm around the small of her back. Even air wouldn't be able to move between them. "But you, sweet thing? You're not pulling away." she observed, pointing that fact out as she knew that for all Fang's words and all the accusations she could have made... she could never play cold. It was just like Lina to know that.

"That's right, Fang. I did miss you."
Fang chuckled. Of course the woman missed her, their closeness was something in Oerba that people knew and seemed to always be amused by. Even in the orphanage Fang knew the matron knew what Fang and Lina were doing when they went out on random excursions into the wilds without much warning, or went to one of their rooms and locked the doors behind them. The matron knew what happened with teenagers, and their throes of passion for people. But what seemed to shock the woman was the monogomy of Fang and Lina. It was different from what she had seen before, and perhaps it was that, that allowed Fang and Lina to escape so many evenings alone while others were forced to go to bed or stay in Oerba.
"Mmm.. Good to know." she murmured softly, Fangs eyes left the form of Lina for a while as she looked to the sky, Cocoon was in the sky but much further away than ever before, but for her, she could still see it as that vipers nest that hovered over her homeland. The cracked crystal pillar that was the remnant of what happened just a little under a year ago. Which also reminded Fang.. her friends, the l'cie band, Vanille, and herself.. they were immortal. They would live forever because they completed their focus. Something about that made her smile, even though.. Forever was a long time, Fang couldnt help but know that she could live forever as long as she had her family formed after Anima branded them and woke her and Vanille again.
"But you, sweet thing? You're not pulling away."
She grinned, the Pulsian sunset traded once more for the other woman beside her. They were close again, not even air could move between the two women. Fang walked with Lina to a place that was a little more isolated than out in the middle of the streets of Oerba. There were all kinds of places they could hide from prying eyes, especially those of the adults in the village whom remembered and knew them. Especially them, after all it could end up a little awkward for the two women and the other party if they walked in on something they probably shouldn't have seen. Her mind seemed to be all over the place and yet their was always one central thought at the front of her mind. Lina, she was here, she was with her.. Lina..
"Mmm.. An' I don't intend to." she said in a slight purr to the other woman. Her accent always got a little thicker at certain times in her life and this was no exception. Her accent was more prominent than ever either way right now Lina was with her, and she didn't intend on losing the woman any time soon. Fang felt something far beyond lust for this woman, which said something about Fang and her feelings towards a certain soldier which seemed to linger on her mind slightly. She grunted slightly when her abdomen twinged in protest of her stretching. The scars were in the view of the few people that were on this road. Fang noted the strange looks and chuckled inwardly. It was like they had never seen scars in their lives.

Being with Fang made everything else seem small. Life was solely enjoyable when you had others to share it with -- it had always been that way on Pulse. It's why community was so important... and why, even now, her mind was solely fixated on the special person she held in her hands. But their attraction wasn't driven by hormones... and more than anything, what she found so attractive about Fang was that she was hers. She couldn't give her up... and even when there were things she'd taught to the younger woman, she never thought of her as some student... rather, a lover that you only got closer to with each waking moment of every day. It had always been such a thrill to watch Fang; she was different when Lina was around.
Perhaps in the end, it was because they were comfortable in their own skin... enough to indulge in each other's. She could vividly remember every moment they were ensnared in their passion... tangled legs, a mess of strewn wet hair. Enjoying the sensations of being touched and touching in the bright morning that filtered through a window of an otherwise dark room, sprawled out in the sheets, a warm embrace bathing in the sunlight and sapphic bliss. But there was something to be said in having their moment out in the open -- a liberation in expressing themselves for all of Oerba to see. Nothing to hide. No shame, just a pure emotion without the obscurity the world wrought.
And now, as Fang's features fascinated her eyes, she paused, feeling her tense as she stretched. Only now as her eyes looked lower did she see it. She wasn't without her own share of wounds... but as far as scars go, hers weren't as deep. But even the pain the raw flesh would have was something that could be alleviated.. and she did so wish to remind her dear Fang how it felt to be under her attentions. She took her aside, postponing their walk but momentarily as she leaned in. Gentle and slow, her lips grazed against hers before she caught the huntress in the sweetest kiss. She was not forceful, but... as her intended lover might know, you never pulled away from something quite like this. Her fingers walked softly as it gently grazed against her scar.
She breathed out, casting her eyes downward momentarily before placing a small kiss on Fang's cheek. "An' we have alot to catch up on." she mused, not at all talking about history -- but rather all the intimacy a long time demanded of making up. Fang had no accent to the Oerban local. But she did notice how her language changed at certain... peaks.

Their attraction was.. inexplicable, something that was intangible by the standards of other people. It wasn't an attraction based upon pure hormones and pure physicality. The feelings, the base of it all was there, it was nothing Fang herself could describe, when she was with Lina she was herself, she was the woman she truly was behind the headstrong mask. Fang was a woman filled with passion, an eternal flame that burned in her soul, a passion for life and everything that came with it. Jade eyes glittered and sparkled with a long since forgotten zeal however. Her fingers twined with those of her intended lover as they walked.
People became less and less frequent, though they never were a concern for Fang. She didn't care who saw her with Lina, who remembered who she was. She could be her own person here without dealing with the bother of the societies around those of the Pulsians which judge people for insignificant things. This was one of the many reasons why Fang was proud to call Gran Pulse her homeland and call these very people that stood beside her and around her, family, and one particular woman her lover. Pulsians were a peaceable race and for that reason the senseless fighting with Cocoon during the war of transgression was out of defense. The vipers were stealing the resources that the Pulsians used to continue their daily lives.
However, this was not nearly the time for those bitter thoughts and feelings. Not only was there a bigger, more prominent threat that was threatening them all, but she had someone right here that took the forefront of her thought processes at this very moment and that woman seemed to look down and notice the new scars Fang wore from fighting. The burning in her abdomen faded as she felt their walk become postponed and her lips pressed to Lina's in a sweet, and gentle kiss that was something Fang had longed for, for so long. She returned it, happy to be affectionate towards Lina. After all, Fang hadn't had someone in her life like this in almost five hundred years. Fangs arms looped around the back of Lina's neck to pull the woman closer to her as long as the contact was held.
The muscles in Fang's abdomen twitched slightly when she felt the woman's fingertips grazed against the scar that she possessed from the tournament.
"An' we have alot to catch up on."
Fang smirked as she pulled away and spoke to her. Her lips grazing the crook of the other woman's neck as Fang replied in a low purring tone. "That we do Sunshine. An' I'd think catchin' up soon would be good for th' both o' us. Dont'cha think?" Fang was a sensual woman when she wanted to be, and nobody made her want to be this way more than Lina. Lina brought out the sides of Fang which were otherwise hidden away or never expressed due to people being judgmental, or whatever. Chuckling lightly, Fang pulled away and walked with her, jade eyes gleaming as the residential part of Oerba began to thin into just a few homes here and there. She wondered just where was Lina leading her?

She only had a small idea as to how others viewed Fang; for when she was around, Lina knew that she was in a different mode. What others would probably see was another person, the longing kind that wanted you to hold on tight and never let go. And there were times when she felt her to be a meeker woman, sitting there at your feet while shivering to the magic she performed with her hands. There wasn't a single detail about Fang's personality that Lina wouldn't have known... and her body was a playground she so deliberately loved to frolic in when they were away from town. As Fang leaned in close to play at her neck, Lina let her have her way and smelled her hair. That scent was almost the same... a tinge of the world was on her but she didn't mind. If she had her way tonight then Fang would smell of a different thing entirely... and she'd have enjoyed each step doing so.
She breathed, appreciating Fang's efforts... the tongue she felt at her neck made her want to stay, to sit there and enjoy the bodily worship for as long as she could bare to contain. When finally she gave a husky sigh of relief, biting her lip lightly before she knew they needed to move on. She smiled when she heard Fang say it... to admit to needing it as much as she did. Of course she never directly said it but when it came to this passionate woman she had a dictionary that defined all the things she could say. The loud things they said in bed to those for more quieter times. But she could see it in Fang's eyes... the curiosity of where they were going. The same look on her face when they were experimenting with one another...learning the body and features, tensing when she'd past a nice little bit then giving it a little more attention.
But she definitely had something in mind... a small ascent to the second floor of a building, she brought her in and closed the door behind them. It was what you might describe as a luxurious Pulsian home... the open space had enough places for them to lay. The balcony outside had the best view of the night sky while inside she showed her something she was sure Fang would like. A large open bath. This residence belonged to no one... a pet project of the occupants downstairs, they were long gone... and here she wondered whether they could come and move in together... but she didn't need to say a thing. Lina didn't feel like using words... but moved behind her lover and kissed the back of her neck. Her fingers played, caressing her belly as light nibbles trailed her shoulder. It was clear that Lina wanted to stay her with Fang. There was plenty of room to play. And already she could see her lover spread out on the mat in the mid-afternoon sun, a kiss of trails on her belly.

The torture was in the silence; her fear was what drove her mad sometimes. Mad with frustration, with guilt, with anger, and hate. Insecurity born of habit, and a world she grew up in. Freedom is what she longed for, what she wished to eventually find. Sighing as she continued her walk, the wounded warrior trudged alone down a path of utter self-destruction. As she slid down the hill she now was tumbling into a free fall and yet in front of her, was someone who saved her from that very path when she was young.
Back in the orphanage, Fang was a child when she arrived that acted like an animal in many ways. She was weary of people at first, not exactly fond of them yet. When she arrived she was a wreck anyway. She had suffered many wounds from the invasion the vipers staged on her original home. Lina was the one who had saved her from growing up to be a very unhappy and introverted woman.
She grew up to be a physical woman, not only in familial relationships (she’d always make sure to give her sister Vanille a hug before leaving for a hunt and when she returned), but also when she fought. Physical became a thing people would always attribute to Fang. Nothing seemed more natural out on the battle field when someone watched the woman tear apart a cocoon invasion camp with just her lance and abilities she possessed. They may have had technology but the difference between Cocoon and Gran Pulse was as evident as day and night. Forces within Cocoon camps griped and complained, whilst the Pulsian battalions kept going with zeal and passion.
Pulse had Passion whereas Cocoon did not.
She chuckled lowly, knowing Lina was quite enjoying the treatment she was receiving from her. Physical was a whole other category with Fang when it came to intimacy with a lover. She was a monogamous woman and would quite willingly admit she’d only been with two women in her life, and even one of them she wasn’t ever truly with. Physicality in romance was something Pulsians in general had a love for, and Fang was not an exception to that. Her mind drifted briefly to times where she was away from the village out on the grasslands of the steppe, and ended in a tangled sweaty mess with her lover on a quite regular basis. It was euphoric in a way to touch and be touched and love and be loved. It felt to Fang like the most amazing thing she’d feel in life, and honestly it was.
As they entered the home, Fang could only blink as the door was shut behind and the large bath was shown to her. As a huntress Fang had status in Oerba. As the head huntress she had a lot of status as shown by her tattoo that she wore with pride. However even then, she wouldn’t have been able to afford a place like this, this had to have been a home for a high ranked officer in the military or possibly the village shaman. She smiled at Lina, looking to the bath and then her lover as she felt the woman’s presence behind her. A low groan of appreciation was the reaction to the other woman’s actions as Fang pressed against her. Fang was never normally a woman that would submit to anyone, yet here, she didn’t even see it as submission. Their relationship was of give and take.
And Fang would give right back when she got the chance.

Being physically comfortable with one another had always been a Pulsian trait. A good, heartfelt hug was the only way to properly show you were comfortable with another person. Sleeping in the same bed was very normal and snuggling tight was something anybody did at night to show that they were close. IT wasn't merely reserved for lovers alone. Linette would never of understood people of Cocoon.... only that they were the cause of all of Gran Pulse's pain. Her pain. Fang's pain. It wasn't enough that they had to steal from them... but to even go as far as outright taking entire settlements to do so was the one thing they couldn't ignore. For all the dangerous wildlife their world held, it was bountiful enough for them to share and live in peace.
But at this very moment, she wanted to be a little greedy -- to keep Fang for herself. This room had remained unclaimed. She'd always wanted to make it her own... to move away from the house she lived in and come here. It was a good upgrade but one which ultimately was only good if you had someone to share it with. And right now, as her lover groaned beneath her touch Lina could tell she loved what she was doing. But this place would have been lovely for them to keep. In the past there only place to play within Oerba had been within a room.. even when she'd moved out and started a life with her husband, they never really went beyond the bedroom.
But here? The room they stood in was inviting them. From the bedspread to the low table, the cabana on the balcony and even to the large bath, she could already see her lover lying back, legs spread as she lay between them. And more than that... she couldn't find it in herself to stop. Lina wasn't thinking about her submission... but rather, the chance to do for Fang what she would ultimately love. To have that desire to have her enjoy the next while, as she raised her hands rubbing her ribs and the underside of her chest. Soft licks, lovely lips and sweet kisses played at her neck. A finger trailed down and she sought her lover's core...
The water yielded as Lina leaned in. She sat over Fang, her arm wrapped around her neck with her lovers head at her chest. She was firm in keeping her close. They were never apart for long... even with the clothes that were strewn across the room she had no intention of letting Fang leave her side. The water was warm, as her fingers idly played with her lover below the waist. "Promise me this won't be a single night." she breathed. Pressing her nose close as she inhaled her scent.
