Erik smiled, not quite catching her blush. As he walked, he paused at her question and looked over to her. He breathed, hesitating."Ermm..uh..well.."He looked at her, feeling his knees become weak before he finally had the courage to answer."Anna gave it to me..as an engagement present..I..I was hoping not to tell you but I didn't want to lie to you either."He said and smiled."It is a nice time Yuna..unnerving but very exciting."He said and blushed to her last question. He breathed and looked down to think for a moment."..I don't know, we'll see what the future brings."He said, smiling to her."It would be nice for a fair maiden to have my heart..but it may..be a little painful..considering what had happened when I did fall in love."He said, looking at her."But hey, it's possible, I mean..you charmed me."

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna said and looked at him. "You are very sweet and just knowing you want to do something in return is good enough. If you insist I'll keep this necklace, but I think you should keep it in her memories." Yuna said. She waited to remove the necklace, or to leave it as it was.

The summoner gave Erik a sweet smile and nodded in understandment. She completely understood. It would be hard and hurt a bit, then again Yuna had never been in love. At least she couldn't remember from her memories that were lost. When he mentioned her charming him, she really didn't know what to say. This could be taken in a couple of ways. A way as in opening up fully to someone, or starting to crush on someone. At that possibility, the summoner looked down and blushed. What do..Yuna started to think..

"I'm glad that you are able to say that about someone." Yuna said with a nod. Without looking up, Yuna continued up the steps.[/ul]

Erik stopped and looked down at her words. He breathed in and looked at Yuna, placing his hand ontop of the necklace, pausing and weighing his options. He had to part with his memories with Anna, he had new memories to make, his heart may have belonged to his wife but he had to move on. He slowly took his hand off of it and looked up to meet her eyes."Please keep it Yuna, it may have been an engagement necklace but it's the meaning you put into it that makes it what it is. It's a sign that I'll protect you always."He said."A sign of our undying friendship, the necklace means a lot to me but you do too, so please keep it."He said. Watching as she climbed up the stairs, he hurried to catch up with her and playfully brushed his knuckle to her arm gently, looking forward."Well you're a very sweet woman Yuna, I bet all the men fight for you back at Spira."He said and held up a finger, waving it."You have a good heart, and that is a very admirable trait."He said, smiling to her.

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna said with a chuckle.

Since he insists I'll keep it, Yuna thought. Though she still believed that he didn't have to give her the necklace as a thanks. Just a simple thanks or friendship would have sufficed. Though since Erik insisted, who was the summoner to turn him down. The brunette girl nodded with a smile as a acceptance. Listening to Erik's words brought a blush and a small smile on her face. No one fought over her and this was how she would rather have it. Two people fighting over her would be to unsettling for her.

"No...I..I don't have anyone. Never have." Yuna said, not even remembering what truly happened in the past. "Thank you though Erik. I do try to make the right decisions. I'd rather no men fight over me though, it would be to unsettling." Yuna said.[/ul]

"I'm more than honored that you even trust me."He said and smiled a little bit. He then looked over at her and smiled softly. He then paused again in his pace and turned completely to her."You're a good friend Yuna, I want to be a good friend to you too, I care about you."He said and he poked her cheek.

He was more than thankful the summoner trusted him, and being called a good guardian, or even an adequate guardian brought a blush to his face. He never thought he was good at anything and meeting someone like Yuna, someone so sweet and so cheerful, they would get along well. Heck, they have already gotten along great. He heard her and looked at her, smiling softly."Well. I think you're a very charming girl Yuna, finding someone who will love and treat you right will be easy."He said smiling. He looked down the steps, counting about..thirty-eight floors. He smiled to Yuna."Wanna start that race?"He asked playfully.

[/b] Yuna said with a small smile.

A race from here? Yuna thought for a moment and smiled. At least race until she ran out of air and energy. Then at least it would be more fun, walking slowly up steps was quite repetitive. Not that it was annoying, but it was a long way up. Only thing to spice it up was to have some fun along the way. Though the summoner already knew she wouldn't reach the top very quickly, would still take a bit.

"Yes," Yuna chuckled as she got into a race stance. "One..two..." Yuna started. With a laugh, Yuna took off up the steps before reaching three.[/ul]

Erik smiled to her words softly and nodded, agreeing totally. He wanted to be friends with the summoner, she had been so kind and so sweet to him. It reminded him of Anna in about every way. Not that he was madly in love, he did develop a crush on her however, that was something he could never escape. It couldn't be helped, she was beautiful, kind, sympathetic and understanding. He couldn't ask for a better friend in the whole world. He kept walking alongside her and heard her reply to his question, pausing and got ready.

She only counted to two before sprinting up, ooo she'll pay for that one.. He sprinted up after her, going floor after floor. He was getting tired by the forty-eighth floor but he couldn't stop now, he was tied with Yuna. Once he reached the fiftieth floor, he paused and panted, putting his hands on his knees and then looked to Yuna, laughing."Well, I'm willing..to call it a draw..if you are."He said between breathes and ruffled her hair.

[/b] Yuna said smiling. "Lets see your apartment." the summoner said with a bit of enthusiasm.[/ul]

Erik let his friend catch her breath and he softly smiled, almost apologetically for making her expend so much of her energy. But they had fun and that was all that mattered. At her request, he gave a nod and a laugh, playfully and gently punching her arm."Man Yuna, I can't believe you."He said good naturedly. He then breathed and turned, walking over and saw the door labled '53' and then slowly pushed it open. Inside was messy, but Yuna could still see the knock knacks in their places. There was even a wedding picture of a beautiful blonde haired woman in her wedding dress hugging a younger Erik in a tuxedo. He hurried over to the picture and smiled to Yuna, pointing out the girl."This was Anna."He said."My wife."

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna asked a bit confused.

As the summoner walked into the apartment, she was not surprised by the mess for an odd reason. Everything in the apartment, the apartment also, looked so different. All the summoner could think of was, this is wow... Not only was the building huge and wonderous, but the apartments were very pretty. For a moment the girl felt a bit awkward. The dress she wore would it be suited for this place? Where would Spira be if Yevon had never started instucting their teachings? Yuna thought. Would Spira be like Cocoon?

When Yuna heard Erik mention his wife, she quickly turned to see the famous woman. After her eyes gazed at the photograph, a smile spread its way across Yuna's face. She certainly is beautiful, the summoner thought.

"You were a very lucky man to have such a beautiful wife." Yuna said and admired her blonde hair. After taking in the image, she brought her gaze back to Erik's. "This apartment is quite amazing." Yuna said with a smile.[/ul]

[Erik Storm]

Erik blinked at Yuna's question, turning and tilting his head."Uh uh, I was just joking...oh..no, you didn't do anything at all."He said, smiling and ruffling her hair playfully. Breathing, he turned, seeing her look at the picture and smally smiled to the compliment about Anna. Her gaze went back to his and he looked down, setting the picture down. He gave his best smile, though it was pained."Yeah..I was."He said gently and set the picture upright. A white wedding dress and that same pendant that Yuna now wore on her breast, it was the same pendant he had given to his wife when they had married. In a sense, it was like Yuna was inheriting her will. He looked to catch her eyes and smiled, gesturing her and made his way into what was left of the kitchen."Palumpolum Apartment Complex, their kitchens were just as amazing as any room."He said, smiling."We gave our lives to this very apartment, it became a part of us, and now look what all is left."He softly sighed."I guess destiny..teaches us all something."He turned his eyes back to hers, smally blushing and smiling.

[/b] Yuna said with a small chuckle. Yuna walked into the kitchen and looked at everything. Everything was certainly different. Not wanting to mess anything up, Yuna returned to Erik and smiled. "Thank you for sharing this with me. Everything is very lovely." Yuna said. Wow that seems to be repeating, Yuna thought. "Is there anything else you wish to show me?" Yuna asked. Considering at how much Yuna had shown him of Besaid, she was just curious.[/ul]

"Yeah it does..if everything didn't happen the way it did, I would have never met the best friend in the whole world."He said, smiling softly at her."I never regretted meeting you."Her smile was returned gratefully and he brushed some hair from her face."Well, you are quite welcome Yuna, I am glad to share anything with you..you have my trust"There was no better friend in the world right now..and he trusted her with everything, hence why he gave her the wedding necklace. He considered her question and smiled, leaning closer."Do you want to see where Carbuncle once lived?"He asked her, eyes glinting with playfulness but he left the decision up to her.

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna asked. She then turned back to the air and looked down at her hands. "You try it, whistling I mean." Yuna said.[/ul]

He saw the blush on her face, about to move away for her comfort until she smiled. He smiled back softly, staying close. He saw her grab his hand and he followed after her, running while she went to the window. "Carbuncle is the Fal'Cie that controls agriculture and Cocoon's food supply..she was the one who branded me."He said and paused beside her."A NORA member was in Palumpolum where I lived and I followed two of his friends underground. I encountered Carbuncle and she branded me. I had the power to defeat NORA..a misguided vengeance."He heard her whistle and blinked as she turned towards him."Hmmm..."He thought for a moment and stepped forward."Haha..as you wish."He stepped beside Yuna and put two fingers in his mouth, blowing a making a shrill whistling sound that echoed. He smiled and turned to Yuna."We can take the Hovercycle if that's Okay."
