Ride of a life

[Erik Storm]

Gran pulse was a place of wildlife and danger. To a daredevil, it meant great fun and risks to take to further better their life. To Erik, the real fun was about to begin. He had told Yuna to wait and he would be right back. It had been about five minutes. By then, Yuna would hear the approaching rumbling. Out sped Erik, flying around Yuna a few times on a motorcycle that blasted a blue fire before he would descent inches from the ground. He smiled to Yuna and held out his hand for her."Yuna, climb on infront of me and hand tight, you'll love this!"He shouted to her over the hum of the engine. He still had his hand out, waiting for her to take it so he could hoist her up and the couple could get going on the ride. It had been about a day and they did leave early morning, but it didn't take as long to get back as he imagined. Besaid was practically neighbors to Gran Pulse.

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna asked.[/ul]

Erik pulled up Yuna so she was sitting infront of him and he smiled, putting his arms around her and on the steer. He looked down and met her multicolored eyes."You ready to go, Yuna?"He asked her and revved up the engine. He started out in a slow hover to give Yuna time to hold on if she needed to. He smiled, going right under a huge monster with a shell the size of a large house on his back, an adamantoise. He smiled to Yuna and flew up higher above, so that all the adamantoise in the Archlyte Steppe could be clearly seen."Yuna, these are adamantoise, the biggest creatures in Gran Pulse, possibly the whole world, it's amazing that they can roam so freely huh?"He said and smiled to her. He then pointed to the large beasts running across the field."Those are Behemoths, take extra special care around them, they can get touchy."

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna said with a nod.

Yuna let looked down at the behemoth and remembered the behemoth on Mount Gagazet. They were "touchy" also, not careful and they could be really deadly. Well even more than they can be. Yuna looked down at Gran Pulse and smiled. It looks so different, Yuna thought. Riding with Erik was fun, Yuna just didn't want to think of what would happen if she fell.

"Thank you Erik," Yuna said turning her head to look at him. "This is fun. To be honest at first I was a little well, my stomach had a knot." Yuna said. "You ride on this very often?" Yuna asked.[/ul]

It took a moment or two for her to get used to this but he smiled to see her having fun. He looked over to Yuna and smiled gently, seeing her look down at the large world below. He kept his hands on the steering wheel and turned a bit so she could see it more clearly. He then nodded."I see you've seen Behemoths before?"He said to her."There are different kinds, PSICOM used to train them as beasts of battle, like peacekeepers."He said to her."I've even had to fight my way through a few of them before."He said. He smiled to her gratitude, blushing a little at the closeness and breathed in, looking down to the large field and smiled to her question."In Bodhum they would hold festivals with fireworks in a large sphere, I took my wife on a Hovercycle to see the fireworks up close for our anniversary, It was the first time I rode with someone."He said and grinned at her."Everyone's nervous when it comes to heights, I would never let you fall though."

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna said.

Everything looked so..so advanced even the fiends. Seeing this she remembered being told the history of Zanarkand. The city of machina and always lit up. Such cities are truly a wonder. Yuna thought of what he said about the fiends. If only a summoner could have sent them. That is if it was the same deal as in Spira.

"In Spira how a fiend is created is by the souls of the dead. Those who aren't sent and don't accept death before it happens, envy the living. Envy turns to hate and they are created into a fiend. When a summoner sends the souls of the dead, they may rest in peace and won't become a fiend." Yuna said.

Yuna smiled when Erik mentioned his wife. Even though his wife was dead, it was good to hear him keeping his happy memories of her. Forgetting such memories couldn't be good. Memories like that should be cherished and kept at heart. Which is how that person would live on, well so Yuna thought.

"I'm happy to hear you keeping good memories of your wife. Would she mind me riding the hovercycle with you? If she wouldn't or if you feel uncomfortable, I can get off. I would understand." Yuna said honestly.[/ul]

[Erik Storm]

"They have similar names but different faces even though we're neighbors."He said and thought for a moment. He heard her out for a moment and scratched the back of his head."Spirits with hatred in their hearts..Whoda thunk it."He said and thought for a moment."Hmm..Usually when a Cieth has lost the will to live on, they become Cie'th stones."He explained."Damned souls forever lost in the cycle of delusioned focus that they had long past failed."He said and blinked, smiling."Well I cherish my memories of my wife."He said and smiled at her, the smile fading at her question."I think Anna would say 'You better not let her fall or I will be taking care of business' I think she would be okay with you riding with me." He said and thought for a moment."I'm definitely not uncomfortable with you, I'm having fun."He said, smiling to her.

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna said.

Yes a sending was very pretty, but how Yuna sees it is sadness. Sending someone just is so sad, your sending someone's loved one. Mass sending wasn't any better either.

"Thank you by the way. I'm glad I can trust you." Yuna said with a smile. "Your wife sounds like a very respectable woman." Yuna said. "As long as it's okay.." she added with a nod.

If riding the hovercycle would upset anyone, Yuna really didn't want to ride if this was so. It's not like Yuna couldn't leave if she didn't ride one. Upsetting treasured memories was certainly not on Yuna's to do list. Never was and never will be. After clearing her mind of these thoughts, Yuna shifted where she was sitting at and closed her eyes as she felt the wind blow through her hair. Felt like not a worry or fear in the world, was nice.[/ul]

[Erik Storm]

Unsent souls envied the living. It was a thought he found most shivering amongst other things. He smiled over to her."Yeah I can see why they would be so important, you have an important job in keeping the peace."He said and blinked a bit, smiling bigger to her words."Well, I would never let you get hurt. You're a very close friend of mine."He said and blushed to her words."Yeah, she was a very kind and loving woman.."He said, smiling sadly and focused forward on driving. He breathed in and dove, going right under an adamantoise and right up towards the crystallized Cocoon. He saw her close her eyes and smiled a little bit, blushing at their closeness. He soon shook the blush off and pointed outward."You see that giant crystal sphere, Yuna? That's all that's left of Cocoon, beautiful sight ain't it?"He said, smiling over at her.

[/b] Yuna said. "You would make a good guardian, you know." Yuna said smiling.

Guardians thought that of the summoners they protected. "Guard the summoner, even at the cost at one's life" the code of the Guardian, Yuna thought. Yuna grinned when he talked about his wife again. She hoped and knew he would never lose that picture of her. Even if Erik fell in love with someone knew, those thoughts should never leave him.

Yuna gasped as Erik dove the hovercycle and gripped him for a moment for being scared of falling off. At least on a shoopuf there were side rail like things you could grab onto. When the hovercycle was flying normally again, Yuna slowly let go of Erik and looked around.

"I'm sorry, I got worried for a second." Yuna said, without looking at him. "Yes it is, I know this is different but it reminds me of the old blitzball stadium. A very large sphere of water that blitzball was played in." Yuna said in rememberence.[/ul]

"A summoner is important in keeping peace huh?"Erik said and smiled a little bit."It sounds like a difficult job, having to be so revered only to die in the end."He said and blinked at her statement. A guardian..someone who protected a person or people at the cost of their lives. 'Anna would make a better guardian than I ever would." He smiled and looked at her."Well that's mighty nice of you Yuna, I would definitely rescue you whenever you needed me."He said smiling and blinked, blushing when she gripped onto him, seeing her let go. He breathed and shook off the blush and smiled at the large crystallized structure. He looked at her."You're making me want to play blitzball."He mused and lightly laughed."Looks like our worlds are similar in some aspects huh?"He said and looked to Cocoon."Cocoon was a whole different world subbing a much bigger one."He said, grinning and looking at her."You know, I would love to know how my parents are doing, I hope they survived the crystalization."He said and sighed."Well.."He then thought of something and looked to the large hole in the crystal."....Hmmm..."He smiled to Yuna."Want to see the interior?"

[Yuna]

[/b] Yuna said. "You do have what it takes to be a guardian. Showing loyalty and being protective. Like Kimahri he is a very good friend and he's protected me since I was a child." Yuna continued thinking happily of Kimahri.

Kimahri was missed, but it was good to know that he went back to his home. He deserved it and how he spent so much time with Yuna, was good to also know Kimahri was taking care of personal business.

"I think you'd enjoy it. You swim in a giant sphere of water and you try to get the ball into the goal. It's quite competitive and a rush." Yuna said with a smile. "Your parents?" Yuna asked. "Uh.. Yuna started and looked at the giant crystal. It looks completely sealed though, Yuna thought. "If you wish to show me, I'll be more than happy to see Cocoon." Yuna said looking at him.

Yuna got another grip on the bike, so she wouldn't have to grip Erik again. Gripping onto him was probably something that wasn't needed, in Yuna's mind it was something that could have been avoided. Don't wanna have Erik thinking Yuna was a clingy obsessive person.[/ul]

[Erik Storm]

"Loyalty and protectiveness.."He murmured and thought for a moment before slowing the bike to a pause in mid air. He smiled over to Yuna and ruffled her hair gently."You really think so?"He said, laughing softly and blushed a bit."Well Yuna, I thank you. You make a great summoner yourself, you're a good friend too, looking out for other's happiness."He said and leaned closer."But what about your own? You did have someone special once too right? I'm sure he'd be still around when you needed him."He said, grinning sweetly. He listened closely to her explanation of Blitzball and that only made him want to play it more."Urrr...I wanna play it now..Dangit"He said and laughed softly. He nodded to her statement."All right, now watch closely as the amazing Erik Storm creates a door to Cocoon."A blue aura surrounded his arm and he shot a blast of bright blue at the sphere. It shattered and made a five foot by ten foot hole in the giant sphere. He breathed and sped the bike inward, seeing the ruined neo-city of Palumpolum."Oh, Yuna, this is Palumpolum, where Carbuncle resided, the Fal'Cie that marked me."

[/b] Yuna said with a smile. Thinking about that, Yuna shook her head. "No I've never had anyone. I've always focused on becoming a summoner, because of what happens to a summoner I didn't want to hurt anyone. Plus I have never met anyone who has taken a liking to me like that. Just had a lot of friends. Not that I'm sad, you know. I'm grateful for everyone who's my friends." Yuna said proudly.

Yes having someone by her side would be nice. Not something to cry over, I'm sure I'll meet who I'm destined to be with, the young summoner thought. Everyone has someone who they are meant to be with, even if they are a summoner. A chuckle slipped passed Yuna's lips as Erik mentioned wanting to play blitzball.

"If I knew how to play I would show you some moves. One of my closest friends is a blitzball player and captain of the Besaid Aurochs." Yuna said mentioning Wakka once more. Yuna watched as the aura wrapped around his hand and arm. Oh wow, Yuna thought. Blinking, Yuna gripped onto the hovercycle as it went through the hole. "Oh." Yuna said and looked at Erik's chest, where the brand was. "Erik I'm sorry you had to go through that." Yuna said.[/ul]

He smiled to her chuckle and looked forward, scratching the side of his head and blushed to her statement."Well..I'm..mighty grateful to you for thinking so well of me, I won't letcha down."He said and smiled at her softly. His smile faded and he paused the bike in mid air for a second, looking at her."A pretty girl like you has never had anybody? I don't believe that, you're sweet, beautiful, and very bright. I think any guy would go for you." "You..just need the confidence.." he continued the slow ride through the city and blinked at her apology, looking over to her and then traced her gaze to his chest where his brand was."...Hey, in the end, my focus was complete right?"He said and smiled. "Everything I went through, It was all to complete my focus..you don't have to apologize, you did nothing wrong."He said. Then he paused the bike by the ruined apartments and pointed to a particular space in it."That's where I lived after Bodhum was evacuated."He told Yuna and smiled to her."You should have seen the apartment months ago, it was very pretty."He said. "Latest technology too."
